BAMBACE, ANTHONY

Anthony Bambace, 65, longtime resident of Tuckahoe died on July 16, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Yonkers to the late Claire and John R. Bambace. A graduate of Tuckahoe High School and Westchester Community College he then joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam for a year. Loving brother of Dolores Bambace and Richard Bambace and cherished uncle of Katherine Bambace. Visiting at the Westchester Funeral Home, Eastchester, Tuesday July 20, 2010 from 4-8PM. Funeral Mass, Assumption Church, Tuckahoe, Wed. July 21 at 10:30AM followed by interment at Holy Mount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to The Nature Conservatory or the National Wildlife Federation.

CALDWELL, LESLIE (SAM)

Leslie "Sam" Caldwell a longtime resident of Mamaroneck passed away on July 16, 2010. He was 55 years old. Born December 14, 1954 in New Rochelle, NY to the late Leslie "Whitey" who passed away on March 22, 2010 and Angelina Toscano Caldwell. Leslie was a hardworking man who was loved by all and enjoyed spending time in his garden tending to his flowers and tomatoes. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan (DiRoberto) Caldwell of Mamaroneck, his mother Angelina Caldwell of Fairfield, CT, two sons, Michael of Mamaroneck, Brian of Larchmont, his sister Joann Marino (Michael) of Fairfield and his grandson, Anthony as well as his nephews, David and Danny and niece Nicole. His father-in-law Gerard DiRoberto of Port Chester also survives him. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Tuesday at the COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church in Mamaroneck. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pet Rescue, PO Box 393, Larchmont, NY 10538.

COLE, GERARD WILLIAM

Gerard William Cole, 73, of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly of the Bronx, New York and Stony Point, New York passed away peacefully July 16, 2010. He was born October 6, 1936 in New York, New York the son of the late Walter and Gertrude (Schroeder) Cole. He served in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam from 1955-1965. He later became a police officer with the NYPD's 48th pct. After retirement he worked for the United States Post Office in W. Haverstraw, New York. Throughout his life, Jerry remained active with the Rockland County Shields and the NY Chapter of the 10-13 Association. In addition to spending time with his family, Jerry loved to cook, work in his garden, fish, and debate the issues on Fox News. He leaves his loving wife of 43 years, Kathleen Cole, of Cape Coral, Florida, four children and five grandchildren; Laurie (David) Wyman and their children Daniel, Andrew, and Sean of Manlius, New York; Gerard (Kathleen) Cole, and their children, Hailey and Addison of New Hampton, New York; Chris Cole of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Thomas Cole of Fort Myers, Florida. Friends are invited to call Wednesday 4-7 PM at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, Garnerville. Gerard's funeral service will be celebrated at 7:00 PM following the visitation. EVANS, WILLIAM FRANCIS

William Francis Evans, 47, investment banker and musician, died after a brief illness on Saturday, July 10, at his home in Manhattan. Bill leaves behind former wife Laura Evans, children Katherine Evans, 15 and Philip Evans, 18 of Ardsley, his parents Bernard and Estelle Evans of Baltimore, and brother Robert C. Evans of Colorado, and a host of friends and colleagues. There will be a funeral mass at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen (Lady Chapel) 5200 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21210 on Wednesday July 21 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Road, Timonium, MD 21093.

FLINK, ABRAHAM

Abraham Flink of Mt. Vernon, NY passed away on July 18, 2010. He was 97 years old. Born in New York City on December 1, 1912 to the late Tobias and Helene Bauman Flink. Abraham served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Masonic Order since 1939. He was the proprietor of Jimmy's Cafe on Pearl St. for twenty years retiring in 1981. He is survived by two children, Stephen K. (Alice) Flick, Eileen S. (Ronald) Oleet and five grandchildren Amanda Arzt (Michael), Melissa Ridings (Matthew), Jason, Lauren (Michael Wentz), Joanna Oleet and three great grandchildren Sophia, Zachary and Caleb. He was predeceased by his wife Berthe Flink in 2007. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday at Sinai Free Synagogue, 550 N. Columbus Ave., Mt. Vernon, NY. Interment will follow at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Zion Memorial Chapel.

LOVETRO, JOAN JENSEN

Joan Jensen Lovetro, 77, of Mahopac, N.Y. passed away on July 16, 2010 after a long battle with leukemia. Joan was born on July 18,1932 in NYC and is survived by her husband George, her daughters Susan, Lois and Karen, their spouses as well as eight grandchildren. Joan was known by all as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother whose priority was always her family. Most recently Joan was a resident of Leesburg, Florida where she and George retired in 2004 after living in Mahopac, N.Y. for nearly forty years where she and George raised their family. Joan is also survived by her brother Charles and his wife Beverly who retired to Leesburg with them in 2004. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. MANNO, MADELINE

Madeline Manno, 70, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident died July 16, 2010. Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of Andrew S. and Sarah F. Thompson Elliot. She was married to Dominick Manno who predeceased her many years ago. Madeline was a member of the Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Eagles Aerie 1042 Ladies Auxiliary where she had served as President and she was also a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors. She is survived by family members in Nova Scotia and many dear friends. Visitation will be at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. O'DONNELL, JOHN PATRICK

John Patrick O'Donnell of Chappaqua,died July 16, 2010. He was the son of John O'Donnell and Georgine Harvey O'Donnell. Brother to Jennifer, Margaux and Elizabeth. Brother-in-law to Patrick Giles and Jason Roberts. Uncle to Rylie, Brendan, Keira, Colin and Owen. John is a graduate from Horace Greelely High School, Chappaqua, NY and obtained his B.A. from Curry College, Milton, MA. John was a Republican District Leader for New Castle Republican Committee, he campaigned for County Executive Rob Astorino and he volunteered for campaigns for VP Dick Cheney, President Bush, senator Dole, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as well as Gov. George Pataki,John Faso and Rick Lazio. John also did work for John McCain in PA. He campaigned in PA, CT, VA, DC, NJ, NH for national candidates and was a Westchester County Election Inspector. John was an avid sports fan and loved his NY Yankees, Rangers hockey, football, and of course GOLF! Viewing will be at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, Monday (Today)2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John and St. Mary's Upper Church, Chappaqua, Tuesday July 20 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla.

SMITH, OLYMPIA GENE (LEE)

Olympia Gene Smith (Lee) peacefully went to heaven on July 17, 2010. Born March 7, 1920 to the late Domenic and Guistina Defilippo. Olympia graduated from Mt. Carmel School, Bronx, NY. Olympia worked at the Remminton Rand, Inc. Boot Factory where she would leave notes for the soldiers heading off to WWII, to come home safely. Olympia married Ira D. Smith, March 16, 1944 at St. Anthony's Church in the Bronx, before making their home in Pelham. Olympia is survived by her husband Ira D. Smith, two daughters Patricia and Vincent Kain, Sandra Lee and Charles Geitz, one grandson Patrick Scott Kain has gone on to welcome his grandma home. Her grandchildren are David and Julie Kain, Kevin Kain, Ali Dziedzic, Guistina Michelle Geitz, Amanda Lee Geitz, Stacy Kain and one great-granddaughter Magdelena Renee Kain. Olympia was known for her hunters breakfast in November, a meal fit for a king. Olympia will be missed by many and loved by all. If Olympia could say one thing now it would be "I found gold". Visitation will be on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Pelham Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catharine's Church, Pelham, NY on Wednesday at 10AM. Interment is private. ACOCELLA, ANGELO "BUD"

Angelo "Bud" Acocella, a longtime New Rochelle resident, died on June 30, 2010. He was 61. Bud was born on August 29, 1948 to the late Joseph and Geraldine (Ianuzzi) Acocella. He married his high school sweetheart Susan Mirabile with whom he recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. He served in the Marine Corp Reserves and was a communicant of Holy Name Church. He worked for Verizon for many years before his retirement. He was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed reading, fishing and classic cars but most of all his greatest joy was his family. He will be greatly missed and forever cherished and loved by all. He is survived by his wife Susan; two daughters Beth Acocella (Carmine) and Stephanie Marrone (John); six grandchildren: C.J., Mia, Annabella, Angelo, Natalia and Anthony; a brother Thomas "Tucker" Acocella; a sister Kathleen (Richard) Metz and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Thursday EVENING 6-9 PM and Friday 2-4 & 6-9 PM at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle.
