Shirley M. Baisley of Stamford, CT., formerly of Stony Point, NY, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on June 28, 2010 after a long illness. She was an exceptionally loving Mother, Grand and Great-grandmother and sister. Survivors include her daughter, Angel Bethea; 2 grandsons, Johnel and Joshua Bethea, 2 great-granddaughters, Jasayia and Janiaya Bethea and 4 sisters, Dorothy Thorne, Betty Rose, Joyce Miller and Faith Baisley. DOYLE, MARILYN Y.
Marilyn Y. Doyle died June 27, 2010 at the age of 75 from cancer. She was born November 24, 1934 in Florida to Edna and Alvis Reynolds. A graduate of Florida Southern College, she married advertising director/producer Andrew C. Doyle on Feb. 14, 1956. Her husband predeceased her in 1993. Marilyn was a long time resident of Rye, NY; Sarasota, FL; and most recently Mahopac, NY. She is survived by daughter Debbie Hennes, two sons, Brett Doyle and Rick Doyle, and seven grandchildren. DYBA, JOHN JOSEPH
John Joseph Dyba, a Pearl River resident, passed away on June 29, 2010. Born in Yonkers, NY, on February 7, 1927, to Peter and Catherine Znaniecki Dyba. John graduated Steven's Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering where he captained the varsity baseball team. John worked for Ananconda Wire and Cable, Phelps Dodge and retired from Okonite Wire and Cable. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. A member of St. Margaret's parish for over fifty years, he was in the Nocturnal Adoration Society, volunteered his time as a bingo worker and a driver for the American Cancer Society. John loved his golf and baseball games and telling jokes. He will be greatly missed by all and remembered by his kindness and humor. John was married to his beloved wife Janet (Clark) on August 18, 1951 at Sacred Heart Church, Yonkers, NY. Devoted father of Barbara and her husband John Scheper, Jane and her husband Pat Dunnigan, Robert Dyba, Arlene Willis and Paul Dyba and his partner Brian Mroczek. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Christian, Michael, Heather and Sean Dunnigan; Lauren, Derek, Joseph and Steven Willis . Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Carmela A. (Millie) Guarnieri 74, of White Plains, N.Y. died on June 30, 2010 at White Plains Hospital Center. She was born on May 20,1936 to the late Louis and Marianina (nee Del Regno) Girvalo in Ossining, N.Y. She graduated from the Ossining School System. Millie and her husband Don were very active parishioners of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, N.Y. Millie was past president and treasurer of the Rosary Altar Society and a member for over forty years. She taught religious education when her children were attending schools. Millie was loved by all who knew her, she was a very special person who dedicated her life to her God, her church, her family and her friends. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Millie is survived by her devoted husband Donald J. Guarnieri of White Plains, N.Y. They would have been married fifty years on Sept.11,2010. She is also survived by her loving children; Donald Jr. of White Plains, N.Y. John and his wife Elizabeth of Ossining, N.Y. Peter and his wife Terri of Elmira, N.Y. Florence M. Hanrahan of Somers, NY, formerly of Pelham, died peacefully on June 28, 2010. Born in 1924 in New York she was the daughter of Ellen and Michael Quinn. A graduate of Aquinas High School, she was class Salutatorian and basketball captain. While employed by the FBI she married Special Agent G. Michael Hanrahan. They were married for 51 years. The couple moved to Pelham in 1946. Survivors include her children: Florie Munroe of Ridgefield (Val), Ellen Allen of Mamaroneck (William), Michael of Chappaqua (Barbara), George of Mahopac (Mary), Nancy McKinney of Naperville, IL, William of White Plains, and Kathleen of Bridgeport. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Dr. Laura Nicoll, Peter Welch, Captain Ian Welch, Nancy and Kathleen Allen, Thomas, Elizabeth, Ellen, Mary and Michael Hanrahan, Caroline and Connor McKinney and Alex Martin. She was a great-grandmother of 5: Kathryn, James and William Nicoll and Maeve and Bridget Welch. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Quinn of Irvington, NY. She was predeceased by sisters Kathryn Donohue, Helen Boyle, Margaret Morgan and brother Thomas Quinn. Nilda was born July 17, 1957 in New York to Antonio and Celia Matias. Mary M. Rasulo, a long time resident of Pratt Street in Haverstraw and Walnut Hill in W. Haverstraw, entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2010 at Tolstoy Foundation NH in Valley Cottage at the age of 88. She was born March 15, 1922 in New York City to the late Giovanni and Rosalia Filipponi. Mary graduated from Julia Richmond HS in Manhattan. After living in Long Beach Island, NY and Manhattan she then settled into Haverstraw in 1954. Mary is survived by her loving children Andrea Rasulo of Garnerville, Joanne (Mario) Collorafi of Highland Mills, Debra (Tom) Dunn of Newburgh, Marie (Kevin) Frank of Stony Point and Joseph Rasulo of Stony Point; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; Mary is survived by her 90 year old sister Antoinette also of Tolstoy Foundation NH in Valley Cottage, brother-in-law Salvatore Rasulo, sister-in-law Anne Filipponi both of Long Island; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Andrew Rasulo of 56 years on May 7, 2002, five brothers Anthony, Austin, Dominick, John and Ignazzio, sister Agnes (Nancy) Filipponi Rasulo and by many brother and sister-in-laws. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Gloria spent her life devoted to her family. She will be sadly missed.
