SCOTT JR., CHARLES W.

Charles W. Scott, Jr., 59 yrs, a lifelong Peekskill resident, died suddenly on January 18, 2011. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Charles worked for many years for the Mile Square Bus Co. as a bus monitor. He was a member of the local band "A Little Bit Of This and a Little Bit Of That", and often played guitar at the Refuge Church of Christ. Charles is survived by his mother, Edith Scott, of the home address, daughter Jasmine (Jesus) Scott Morales, three grandchildren, one brother and five sisters. He was predeceased by his father and one sister. The family will receive friends from 10:45-11:45 AM on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Refuge Church of Christ; 831 Main St.; Peekskill, NY, where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon. E.O. SENZER, IRWIN SAM

Irwin Sam Senzer, 77, of Mt Kisco,NY, formerly of Bronx,NY passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2011 after a brief illness. Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Margaret (Peggy), cherished daughter Samantha Costa, devoted son-in-law Danny Costa, and was the beloved and doting "Papa" of granddaughter Antonia Costa. He is also survived by his brother Martin of Great Neck,NY, sister Ivy Smith of Caracas, Venezuela, sisters-in-law, Adrienne Chamberlain and Linda Duffy of Mt. Kisco, NY, Heather Edwards of Brewster NY, Laura Ray of Granger, IN, brother-in-law Charles Ewen of Scarsdale, NY and many nieces and nephews. Sam touched friends and strangers with his kindness and helpfulness in any situation. He is missed and good memories of him will live in our hearts forever. Friends may attend a memorial service Sunday January 23, 2011 at 12 noon at King David Memorial Chapel, 288 E. Main St, Mt. Kisco, NY. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

SLAGLE, MARIE J.

Marie J. Slagle passed away peacefully from this world on January 18, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Marie was 83 years old. She was the youngest daughter born to Josephine and Gennaro Capacchione on May 29th 1927. Growing up in the Little Italy section of the Bronx during the great depression, Marie was proud of her Italian heritage and developed kindness, love, and fondness to care for others. She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the Bronx. She loved Opera music, Elvis, Perry Como and all of God's creatures and animals. She worked for The Home Aids of Rockland, caring for the elderly for 20 years. Marie married Walter T. Slagle, formerly of the Bronx, on February 15th, 1953 and spent the next 57 years of her life with him, raising their children and creating a warm and loving home. Marie is survived by the love of her life, Walter; her children Donna Hopper and husband Wayne of Cornwall, NY, Joanne Fitzpatrick and husband Kenny of Florida, NY, Walter J. Slagle and wife Lisa of Fishkill, NY, and Jeff Slagle and Kim Tucci of New City, NY; her cherished grandchildren Michael Fitzpatrick, Jonathan Fitzpatrick, Jess Hopper, Tyler Slagle, Jake Slagle, Dean Slagle, and Daria Slagle. She is also survived by her sister, Connie Penkovsky, and brother, Jerry Capa, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Saturday January 22 from 10-11:30 am at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Services will be held at 11:30 on Saturday. MICHAEL J. WEXLER, STEVEN

Steven Daniel Wexler 65, died suddenly on December 20th, 2010, in Tijeras, New Mexico, where he lived with his wife Maria Guadalupe. He graduated from Nyack High School in 1963 and from Columbia University in 1967, and served his military duty as a conscientious objector at the former Deaconess Hospital in St Louis, Missouri, where he was an orderly. For many years he earned his living as a carpenter but always wanted to be a writer. Pursuing that goal, he was accepted in a masters degree program in creative writing at the University of New Mexico, and also matriculated there as a teacher. For 10 years he taught economic history and English literature in an alternative high school in Albuquerque, while writing his first novel "Scamming God," using the pen name Morgan Ibarra. He was working on a sequel. He is survived by his wife; his brother, David Niels; his sister, Jessica Sarah Tomb; his mother, Miriam Haagens Wexler; and a nephew, Benjamin Darrow Creed. His father, Jacob Klein Wexler, predeceased him.

Ramona I. Boddy of Sloatsburg, NY passed away December 27, 2010 at the age of 82. Born July 21, 1928 in Suffern NY to Samuel and Marguerite Boddy. Ramona was retired from Almedica Pharmaceuticals in Allendale NJ. BRANCATELLI, MARY

Mary Brancatelli beloved wife of Joseph passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the age of 85. She was surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio to Samuel and Rose DeVita. She had been a resident of Pearl River for 56 years. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After her kids were grown, Mary worked at Lehn and Fink in Montvale, NJ. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting and knitting. Mary cherished her family and her love for them was most important in her life. She is survived by her husband Joseph Brancatelli, her children Salvatore Brancatelli and wife Maryanne, Mary Jo Brancatelli-Aman and husband Rick, Barbara Ficarra and husband John, and Joseph Brancatelli Jr. and fiance Laura Healy and grandchildren Michael, Stephen and Paul (Brancatelli); Laurin and Craig (Aman) and Francis, Jennifer and John (Ficarra). BROWN, DEACON SYLVESTER WENDELL

Deacon Sylvester Wendell Brown of Yonkers died on Thursday December 23 at age 82. Born on April 14, 1928 to Callie and Corrine (Cochran) Brown in Cleveland Ohio, he attended local schools and graduated from Saunders H.S. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving 3 1/2 years and was discharged Radarman 1st Class. He married Doris C. Lacklain they had four children; Lloyd Brown, Darrell Brown, Sylvia Richardson Lambert and Wanda Marie Newton, he is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two sisters Laurie Townsel and Angelina Rogers and was pre deceased by two brothers Joseph Brown and William Townsel. He joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in 1950 under Rev. John Jenkins Pastor, presented by his wife Doris. He sang in the Senior Choir for 36 years and attended Bible Training School in NYC. He was ordained a Deacon by Rev. Charlie Churn Jr. in 1966 and spent over 40 years as a Deacon. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. DAVIS, ROBERT B.

Robert Blake Davis died in his home in Quogue, NY on December 25 he was 86. Known fondly as Bob, he was born and raised in South Orange, New Jersey to Edward and Cecilia Davis. The family spent summers in their home, "Old Trees" in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. He survived his three brothers, Ted, Tom, and Jack. He attended Seton Hall Prep then went on to Stevens Technical Institute. He joined the US Navy where he was then sent to study engineering at Dartmouth College and then graduated from Worchester Poly-Tech in 1946. He became an officer of the Navy before he graduated. He joined his father and older brother in the family printing company of Davis-Delaney. He eventually became president of the family business from which he retired at the age of 71. Early in his career he was voted president of the NY Printing Association. He married Anne Hogan and raised six children in Purchase, NY. Every summer was spent with his family in Quogue, NY where he was one of the original owners of the Surf Club of Quogue, serving on the board until his death, and helped found a scholarship fund for college-bound employees. He was a member of Apawamis Golf Club. He loved golf and enjoyed playing at Mariner Sands in Stuart Fla., where he and Anne had spent the past seven winters. He continued his passion for golf and fellowship each summer at the Westhampton Country Club where he helped found the now annual, Super Senior Golf Tournament. He was also a former member of the Board of Trustees at The Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, CT. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Anne Davis and his six children; Suzanne Cincotta of Riverside CT, Mary Stanton of New Canaan CT, Bob Davis Jr. of Harrison, NY, Patricia Verrochi of Mount Kisco, NY, Jack Davis of Huntington, NY, Ted Davis of New York, NY, and sixteen grandchildren. He will be missed for his warm smile, sense of humor, and generous spirit. Visitations will take place at Graham Funeral Home on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A Christian mass will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11am at Saint Paul's Church, 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT. FALLON-HOWARD, BRIAN

Brian Fallon-Howard, born on June 3, 1996 to Deirdra Fallon and Eugene Howard at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Brian was the joy in his family's world. He was a pure soul who immediately stole the hearts of all who met him. Brian grew into a young man who never lost his sense of family, friends and passion for his interests which included baseball, Star Wars and his unyielding love for those whom he cared about. Brian passed away suddenly on December 27, 2010 at the age of 14. Taken too soon from the family and friends who loved him dearly, Brian will be remembered and survived by both his parents, his surviving Grandparents, Brian and Rita Fallon, his brother Daniel, his Aunts Tara and Margaret Fallon, Mary and Michael Howard, as well as his extended family. Services will be held at Hodder's Funeral Home on Thursday, December 30th, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM with the Funeral Mass on Friday, December 31st, at 9:45 AM at St. Barnabas High School Chapel. DAVID J.
