U.S., Obituary Collection, 1930-Current

HILTON

*** Barrow, Merton F., October 31, 2010. Predeceased by his brother, William Barrow. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Barrow; daughters, Karen (Joseph) Bruno, Sharon (Michael) Baziw; son, Kenneth Adams; grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Kunz, Christy Allen, Philip Baziw; great-grandchildren, Sierra Allen, Avalynn and Ethan Kunz; sister, Annamay Remley; sister-in-law, Theresa Barrow; several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated November 5 at St. Lawrence Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice in his memory.

HOLLEY

*** Jarosinski, William F., October 31, 2010 at age 61. Predeceased by his parents, William and Stephany Jarosinski. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Barbara (Bleier); son, Keith Jarosinski; daughter, Tracy (Damian) Sugar; grandchildren, Emily and Elysa Sugar; sisters, Sandra (Barry) York, Carol Rogers; brothers, Jacob “Jack” (Louise) Jarosinski, Michael Jarosinski; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was a member of VFW Post #202, the Disabled American Veterans, the Vietnam Veterans Association and Combat Infantryman’s Association and was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated November 5 at St. Mary’s Church, Holley. Contributions can be made to the Batavia Veteran’s Hospital, PTSD Building 5, Batavia 14020 in his memory.

MURRAY

*** Liese, Amber E., October 27, 2010, age 18. Survived by her loving parents, Brian and Karen (Gavigan) Liese; her sister, Valerie; grandmothers, Marilyn Liese and Betty (Bob) Wilhelm; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Warren Gavigan and Richard Liese.

Funeral Services were held October 31 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Private interment, Transit Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Teens Living with Cancer (Melissa’s Living Legacy), CURE Foundation or Make a Wish Foundation in her memory.

SPENCERPORT

*** Burke, Lois E., On October 31, 2010. Predeceased by her husband, Francis H. She is survived by her son, Patrick B. (Penny); daughter, Susan (John) Ross; four grandchildren.

A Graveside Service was held November 4 at Riverside Cemetery, Rochester.

SWEDEN

*** Hizer, Patricia Ann “Patsy”, On October 30, 2010. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Earl Cecil Hizer and Clara Elizabeth Renew. Survived by her children, Earl Hizer, James Hizer, Debra Schultz, Donald Meacham, Daniel and Linda Meacham, Julie Westcott; grandchildren, Robert Hizer, Katherine Hizer, James Patrick Hizer Jr., Katrina Hizer, Lamar Hizer, Katrice Hizer, James Henry Hizer, Stephan Schultz Jr., Sarah Westcott, Donald and Jennifer Baty and many great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Tantalo; nephew, Christopher Tantalo.

Funeral Services were held November 4 at the Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home, Inc., Greece. Inurnment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. To make a contribution in her memory, contact Linda Meacham at red112363@yahoo.com.

BROCKPORT

*** Gearhart, Ann D., age 66, formerly of Brockport, died November 26, 2010 at Conway Medical Center, Çonway, South Carolina. Ann was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a daughter of the late Norman and Mildred Dole. She was a lifelong learner culminating in a master’s degree in business from Roberts Wesleyan College at the age of 54. Ann retired from BOCES 2 as a career counselor. Surviving are her husband, Richard (Bud) Gearhart of Conway, South Carolina; son, Andy Gearhart and his wife, Jamie of Boise, Idaho; daughter, Debbie Monacelli and her husband, Mark of Holley; two grandchildren, Lily Gearhart and Bryan Monacelli; one brother, Anto Dole and Linda of Caledonia; and several nieces and nephews.

*** Lerkins, Barbara M., On December 5, 2010. Predeceased by her sons James and Kenneth and her grandson Matthew. She is survived by her children Dan (Mary), Dale (Sue), Bill (Sue), Joy (Doug) Franck; grandchildren Kenneth Jr., Laurie, Jenny, Jessy, Trevor (Catherine), Jillaine, Tim and Kelly; two great grandchildren; her dearest companion, Richard; sister, Joan; brother, Bill (Carol) and numerous nieces and nephews. Barb devoted 27 years of service to Lakeside Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services were held December 10 at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Interment at the convenience of the family.

BYRON

*** Wooton, Rex J., On December 8, 2010 at the age of 56, after a courageous 20 year battle with brain cancer. Rex was predeceased by his father Paul M., and brother Andy Wooton. He is survived by his mother Lorilyn W. Rogers of Churchville; brothers, Scott of Byron, Tracy (Patty) of Churchville and Dale (Titing) of Ridgefield, Connecticut; step-mother, Beverly Wooton of Bergen; three nieces and two nephews; many good friends, including Anna Koelsch, Bill Nichols and David Alexyn. A graduate of RIT, Rex worked 20 years at Kodak as a Chemical Technician and Computer Analyst.

A Memorial Service was celebrated December 11 at North Bergen Presbyterian Church. Contributions can be made to Byron Fire Department, Byron, NY or American Cancer Society in his memory.

HAMLIN

*** Exley, Douglas J., died December 2, 2010 at age 64. Predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda; children Leslie (Rich Green) Guerro of Roulette, Pennsylvania, Chad (Bernadette) of Cantabury, Connecticut, Gary (Kelly Feasley) of East Aurora, New York; many loving grandchildren; a great grandson; brothers Lou (Hylah), Craig (Jane), Lauren (Karen); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.
