Mrs. Viola E. Giles, of Scottsville, died on Thursday, November 2, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Gloria) Giles and Gary (Darlene) Giles; daughters, Elizabeth (Martin) Borah, Linda Bess and Pamela (David) Lowell; sister, Joyce Cope; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home in Scottsville, on Monday, November 6. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Wheatland Community Church.

RUTH M. GUERIN
Mrs. Ruth M. Guerin, of Honeoye Falls-Mendon, died on Sunday, November 5, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles and son, Vincent Guerin; also a brother, Vincent Marchant. Mrs. Guerin is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Gardner; her son, Chris (Sandra) Guerin of Colorado; daughter-in-law, Catherine Guerin; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lucille Marchant; and nieces and nephews.
Friends called on Tuesday, November 7, at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, November 8, at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Interment in the Mendon Cemetery.

GENEVIEVE M. SHEELER
Mrs. Genevieve M. Sheeler, of Honeoye Falls/Mendon, died on Sunday, November 5, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband, Ivan Sheeler. She is survived by many friends, including Sr. Ambrosine, Debra Bendachneider, Joan Montone, Connie Kellogg and Dr. Herbert and Dorothy Bandemer. She was faithful to her cats, Chloe and Abby.
Mrs. Sheeler was a retired Secretary of the Athletic Department at the University of Rochester.
Friends called at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls, on Wednesday, November 8. Prayers will be offered there on Thursday, November 9 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mendon. Interment at Mendon Cemetery.
MILDRED MACK
Mildred Mack, of Rush, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 13, 2000. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward A. Mack. She is survived by her son, Lynn (Ellen) Mack; four grandchildren, Colleen (David) Bailey, Elizabeth (Lawrence) Lanpher, Edward (Judeanne) Mack, Albert J. Mack and friend Karen Rajca; seven great grandchildren, Zachary and Cody Bailey, Austin Addison, Arianna Lanpher, Matthew and Jamie Mack; brother, Kenyon "Cy" Dell; four sisters-in-law, Margaret Tobey, Gwen Mack, Onalee Mack and Catherine (Fred) Muhs; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Friday, November 17, 2000 at the Merton Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls. Friends wishing may contribute to the Rush Fire Department of the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 East Henrietta Road 14620, in memory of Mildred Mack. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush.
HELEN (FROEHLICH) DERUE
Helen (Froehlich) DeRue, 87, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George DeRue; her sons, Earl (Delores) DeRue and John G. (Linda) DeRue; her daughter, Elaine DeRue; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Saffran, of Florida; her sister-in-law, Helen DeRue; her brothers-in-law, Abe (Dorothy) DeRue and John (Lucille) DeRue; and nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home in Hilton, where a service celebrating Helen’s life was held on Friday, November 17.

RICHARD W. HOLMES
Richard Holmes, of Honeoye Falls, died on Thursday, November 30, 2000 at age 85. He is survived by his daughter, Tevis E. (Holmes) Maurer, of Livonia; two granddaughters, Tevis K. and Melody Maurer; great-granddaughter, Tevanna; special friend, Sheila Kotwas; and sister, Elinor Weinberg of Rochester. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Holmes, in 1987.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 9, 2000 at the Lima Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 10609, Rochester, NY 14610 in his memory.
ROXIE (PARRISH) SMITH
Roxie Smith, of Lima, and Holcomb, entered into rest on Sunday, December 3, 2000 in Lakeland, Florida. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Carl Parrish. She is survived by her husband, Marvel Smith, of Lakeland; two daughters, Connie (Howard) Schillinger, of White Stone, Virginia and Beverly (David) Fraser, of Honeoye Falls; one sister, Betty Lou (Charlie) Williams, of Bloomfield; three brothers, Harold Plain, of Wayland, Vernon Plain, of Lakeland, and Ronald Plain, of Lakeville; brother-in-law, William O’Neal, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Calling hours were held on Friday, December 8 at the O’Connell-Drowne Funeral Home in Lima, where funeral service was held on Saturday, December 9. Interment Millers Corners Cemetery, Ionia, New York.
