Mrs. Judith Newman, 84, of Avon, died on March 2, 2001 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo, New York. She was predeceased by her husband, James M. Newman in 1998. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Newman was born on November 28, 1916. She was a member of the Avon United Methodist Church.
Her memorial service was held at the Avon United Methodist Church, the Rev. Larry Beman officiating. Contributions may be made to the Avon United Methodist Church, 130 Geneseo Street, Avon, New York 14414 in her memory. Interment Avon Cemetery. Arrangements by the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home in Avon.
GORDON J. HYLAND
Gordon J. Hyland, of Rochester, formerly of Honeoye Falls, died recently. He is survived by Betty Hyland; four daughters, Karen Steele, Kathleen Hyland, Bonnie Bleier, and Charmaine (Michael) Smith; sister, Jean Batte; brother, Harold Hyland; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends called Thursday, March 15, 2001 at the Merton Kays Funeral Home, in Honeoye Falls, where services were held on Friday, March 16, 2001.
RUTH N. DEIR
Ruth N. Deir, of Lima, died suddenly on Thursday, March 15, 2001, at age 71. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alexa and Manfred Schneider, of Lima; three sons and daughters-in-law, Salim and Birgit Deir, of Lima, John and Anita Deir of North Carolina, and Tim and Ellie Deir of Lima; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Norman Radlick of Darien, NY, and Joan Rieppel of Buffalo; brother and sister-in-law, John and Carol Purdy, of Virginia; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends were invited to call on Tuesday, March 20, at the O'Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima. Her Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, March 21, at Elim Gospel Church at 1679 Dalton Road.

Jean E. Horan, of Lima, died on Thursday, April 25, 2001 at age 45. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Horan, of Lima; mother, Mary Horan, of Lima; brother, David Horan, of Honeoye Falls; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia (Greg) Pfleging, of Irondequoit, Laurie (Tony) Capozzi, of Lima, Mary (Jack) Jennings, of Greece, Susan Ripley, of Honeoye Falls; close companion, Kelly Krebbeks (his children, Joe and Lauren); dear friend, Sharon Cameron; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 27, 2001 at the Lima Baptist Church. Contributions may be made to the Lima Christian School, 1575 Rochester Street, Lima, NY 14485 in her memory. Interment Oakridge Cemetery.

Patrick J. Harris, of Scottsville, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Colleen; children, Nicole Mundorf and Jordon Bowser; father and stepmother, Terry and Kay Harris; sisters, Lisa Jones and Michelle Harris; brothers, David (Catherine) Harris and Terry Harris; paternal grandmother, Jessica Peters; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Kathleen Close; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

MARIE (SELG) KRENZER
Marie (Selg) Krenzer, of Scottsville, died on Friday, April 27, 2001 at the age of 93. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Anna), Fred (Pat), and John (Doris); daughter, Eileen (Bruce) Mulno; a sister, Julianne Wolf; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Krenzer lived at 3000 East River Road in Scottsville for nearly 60 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred. Together, they operated several local farms.
Friends called on Monday, April 30 at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home in Scottsville. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Mary’s Church in Scottsville at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or a charity of your choice.
ANTHONY "TONY" SAEVA
Mr. Anthony "Tony" Saeva, of Scottsville, died on Sunday, August 6, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Ronald LaDue; granddaughter and husband, Christina and Todd Esposito; great granddaughter, Maria Esposito; brother, Joseph (Emma) Saeva; four sisters, Vinzie Pulvino, Josephine Cianciotta, Mary (Dominic) Nicosia and Theresa (Ange) Giuffre; and several nieces and nephews.

Gladys Wiers died peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2000 at Highland Hospital. She was the mother of Larina (Stewart) Blair of Bloomfield, Beatrice (Greg) Burkett of Macedon, Nancy (John) Pappas of Farmington; grandmother of 11 grandchildren; great grandmother of six; and relative of several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, August 3, 2000 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home in Livonia. Services were held there on Friday, August 4, 2000. Burial, Lake View Cemetery, Honeoye. Memorials may be sent to the Honeoye Falls Ambulance Fund or the American Heart Association.
