Hawkins, her sisters, Harriet and Bess Noble, her brother, Willard Noble. She is survived by her husband, Ralph G. Hutton; her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Michael Ryan; her son and daughter-in-law, John N. and Maureen Hawkins; two granddaughters, Amy and Martha Hawkins; several nieces and nephews. She volunteered for over 25 years at Park Ridge Hospital.
A Memorial Service was held February 14 at Ogden Presbyterian Church, Spencerport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund of Ogden Presbyterian Church in her memory.
VanOrden, Edith, 92, quietly at the St. Mary's Living Center in Rochester on February 22, 2001. Mrs. VanOrden was the daughter of the late William (Laura Sherbert) Van Orden. She resided in this area for most of her life.
Mrs. VanOrden was predeceased by her husband, Fay VanOrden in 1979. Several nieces, nephews and cousins survive her.
Funeral Services were held February 24 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home. Spring interment will be at Sandy Creek Cemetery. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Eastern Orleans United Way.
Grosskoft, Isabelle L., At age 94 of Haines City, Florida, formerly of Bergen, on February 23, 2001. She was a retired office manager of Hammer Lithograph in Rochester. Survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Wife of the late Harry Frayling and the late Al Grosskoft; sister of the late Violet Heap.
Services and burial will be in the spring.
Hill, Dr. Norman J., At age 79, of Chili, formerly of Bergen, a Professor Emeritus at SUNY Brockport, died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at home.
Dr. Hill was born April 26, 1921 in Ogden, the son of the late Frank Craig and Rose Pledger Hill.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bergen. He graduated from Churchville High School in 1940, earned his bachelor of science degree in education from Brockport State Teacher's College, his master's in education from the University of Rochester and his doctorate from the University of Buffalo. He taught in the Spencerport, Middleport and Albion school districts and was principal of the Byron-Bergen Schools for two years. He taught at SUNY Brockport for 17 years prior to his retirement in 1981. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church in both Bergen and Albion, sang in the church choir for over 35 years, sang in the Eastman-Rochester Chorus and was a past Village of Bergen trustee. He was a charter member of the Rochester Chess Club.
Dr. Hill is survived by his wife, Marion T. Traber Hill, whom he married April 8, 1950; three sons, Gregory Hill, Nelson (Karen) Hill and Larry (Karlene) Hill, all of Chili; a daughter, Ruth (Thomas) Beattie of Greece; a brother, Walter (Helen) Hill of Wolcott; a sister, Winifred (James) Wheeler of Rochester; a sister-in-law, Penny Hill of Ohio; eight grandchildren, Jason Hill, Matthew Hill, Julie Hill, Kristin Hill and Kimmie Hill all of Chili, Jennifer Pietrzykowski, Rachael Beattie and Erin Beattie all of Greece; and several nieces and nephews.
He is the brother of the late George Hill and Delia Miller.
Services were held Saturday, March 3 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bergen. Burial in Grove Place Cemetery, Chili. Powers, Alma E., February 21, 2001 at age 87. She was predeceased by her sister, Claudia. She is survived by several cousins and dear friends. She was a retiree of John R. Bourne Office Supply Company.

Judwick, Leon A., February 23, 2001. Predeceased by his daughter, Constance Neale; survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Charlotte; daughters, Dolores White of Hilton and Patricia Fisher of Ontario; ten grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mr. Judwick was a past president of P.A.C., past superintendent of NYS Arson Subdepot.
