U.S., Obituary Collection, 1930-Current

Blair, H. Ann, Suddenly, March 2, 2001 at age 73, in Florida. She is predeceased by husband, Elwin G. Blair, 1986. She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Lincoln) Smith; her brother, Charles (Coby) Nichols; three sisters-in-law, Loretta (Eldon) Simmons, Betty Jean Ward and Linda (John) Coulter; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in Hilton at a later date. Spring interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Those wishing can make contributions to Parma Union Cemetery Restoration Fund, Box 745, Hilton 14468 or Hilton Volunteer Ambulance in her memory.

Frey, Florence M., March 4, 2001 at age 88. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Vinton; her daughter-in-law, Betty Frey; her grandchildren, James (Andrea) Frey, Paula Moravan (John Murphy), Cheryl (Tim) Hungerford, Karen (Brian) Lewis, Daniel (Laura) Vinton and Steven (Jennifer) Frey; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, her son, Robert Frey and her son-in-law, Roy Vinton.
A Funeral Mass was held March 7 at St. Leo Church, Hilton. Those wishing can contribute to the Hilton Ambulance Corps.

DeLuca, James V., At age 82, of Arizona formerly of Holley on March 5, 2001. Mr. DeLuca was a WWII Navy Veteran serving on the aircraft carrier USS WASP and was a General Motors repairman. His wife, Mary predeceased him in 1969. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy (Tom) McCall of Arizona; son, Jim (Diane) DeLuca of Arizona; brothers, Frank of Connecticut, Sam of New York,; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service was held March 10 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial Remembrances can be made to the Desert Samaritan Hospital, Tele Respiratory - 4A; Attn: Kay Soltis, 1400 South Dobson Road, Mesa, Arizona 85202.

Hendel, Rita M., At age 76, peacefully on March 3, 2001 at her home. Mrs. Hendel and her husband, Arthur, owned and operated Hendel Feed and Grain. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Arthur A. Hendel and their children, Timothy Hendel of Alabama, Christine (Robert) Smith of Albion, Paul (Virginia) Hendel of Holley, Richard (Rebecca) Hendel of Brock-port, Andy (Ann) Hendel of Holley and Anne (Jeffery) McSweeney of Tennessee. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass was held March 9 at St. Mary's Church, Holley. Memorials can be made to the Holley Fire Department Emergency Squad.

Howe, Clarence E. Sr., On March 5, 2001 at age 91. He was predeceased by his wife, Aleta Howe and his daughter, Nellie Robbins. He is survived by his wife, Grace (Wilson) Howe; his son, C. Edwin (Jeanette) Howe, Jr. of Greece; his daughter Lois Butterfield of Brockport; two step-children, Cheryln (Patrick) Dick of Scottsville and James E. (Mary) Wilson of Maryland; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Rochester Products and was a Boy Scout Leader for over 25 years.
A Funeral Service was held March 10 at Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church, North Chili. Interment North Chili Rural Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Building Fund of Pearce Memorial Church in his memory.

Barklie, Anna, February 25, 2001. Survived by two daughters, Ann Uhorchuk and Marilyn Puskas; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Services and interment were held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Bourne, William H., On March 4, 2001 at age 83. He was predeceased by his wife, Jan Bourne and his daugh-ter, Kathryn Ann. He is survived by two sons, Thomas (Yvonne) Bourne of Farmington and David (Joanne) Bourne of Spencerport; four grandchildren; four nephews. He was a retiree of Rochester Industrial Supply and was a member of Deerfield Country Club.
A Memorial Mass was held March 10 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to Park Ridge Living Center or to St. John's Church Adult Folk Group in his memory.

LaCroix, Charles J., March 5, 2001 at age 91. Predeceased by his wife, Anne of more than 50 years. Survived by his sons, Lawrence (Ellen) of Silver Springs and Richard (Jacquelyn) of Spencerport; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Irene) LaCroix; sister, Jennie Vercruysee; sister-in-law, Helen Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held March 9 at St. Lawrence Church. Donations can be made to Wedgewood Nursing Home, 5 Church Street, Spencerport 14559 or Hospice of Rochester, 70 Metro Park, Rochester 14623 or Masses in his memory.

McLaughlin, George B., February 28, 2001 at age 90. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Grace McLaughlin. He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Kraus) McLaughlin; his son, James F. (Martha) McLaughlin of Honeoye; his daughter, Mary (Charles) Hawken of Churchville; his step-daughter, JoAnne (Robert) Epping of Spencerport; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Ogden Senior Center.
A Funeral Mass was said March 3 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Interment St. John's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance in his memory.

Wilder, Clara N. (Noble), March 4, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude E. Wilder and her sister, Gertrude Merz. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia A. McGurrin of Fairport; her son, Robert C. Wilder of Pittsford; her grandson, Scott H. McGurrin of California; her niece, Marilyn (Edmund) Sobolewski of Syracuse; great nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She was a retired teacher in the Spencerport School District, an Honorary Board Member of the Ogden Farmers' Library and was a member of Park Ridge Hospital Auxiliary.
A Memorial Service was held March 11 at the First Congregational UCC, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund of First Congregational UCC or to the Ogden Farmers' Library in her memory.

Long, Maryalice, age 39, died July 31, 2003 at her home after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Jr., whom she married in 1983; children, Raymond III and Elizabeth both of Holley; her mother, Delores Anderson of Buffalo; nine brothers, Donnie (Linda) Anderson of Buffalo, Richard (Brenda) Anderson of Buffalo, David (Gail) Anderson of Newfane, Harry (Barbara) Anderson of Buffalo, William Anderson of Buffalo, Earl (Laurie) Anderson of Buffalo, Leonard Anderson of Buffalo, Larry (Rose) Anderson of Buffalo, Alfred (Cindy) Anderson of Buffalo; one sister, Patty Jo Anderson of Florida. Also surviving are mother and father-in-law Maryanne and Ray Sr. Long of Buffalo; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said August 5 at St. Mary's Church, Holley. Interment, Hillside Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
