U.S., Obituary Collection, 1930-CurrentComstock, Elizabeth Thornton ("Bonnie"), 79, of Kissimmee, Florida, died April 20, 2007. Prior to her move to Florida in 1983, Bonnie lived in Brockport, and worked for the New York State Department of Transportation in nearby Spencerport. Before that, she worked for Eastman Kodak in Rochester. After her arrival in Florida, she worked as Parish Secretary/Bookkeeper for Trinity Lutheran Church in Kissimmee, where she was also a member.
She is survived by her son, Scott G. Comstock (Philipp' Marra), of Malmo, Sweden; brother, Douglas (Marion) Thornton of Deerfield, Illinois; cousins and dear friends, Marge Sisson and Irene Sisson of Kissimmee; former husband, Francis L. Comstock, of Ormond Beach; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Dean Thornton, of Rushford, New York.

Dean, Danielle Susan, 27, of Whitney Point, died April 21, 2007, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born July 30, 1979, in Brockport, the daughter of Ardell Dean and Patricia (Turner) Barney. Danielle would have graduated from Herkimer County Community College in May and was currently on the dean's list at the college. A member of the Teamsters Union, she was a truck driver and laborer for Economy Paving of Cortland. She loved her animals, especially her horses, and the hobbies she practiced, hunting and fishing.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia Barney and her husband, Lewis Barney of West Oneonta; her father, Ardell Dean and his wife, Rita, of Spencerport; half sisters, Janet Smith, Pennsylvania and Joanne Snyder, Pennsylvania; her brother, Caleb Barney, West Oneonta; and a stepbrother, Lewis Barney Jr., Marmet, West Virginia; aunts and uncles, Nancy Jones, Arthur and Lynda Turner, Garey and Betty Turner, Evelyn Eaton; and nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family; and her special friends: John Simpson, Jeff Cook, Ward Wakeman and Kevin and Chris Smith.
A Memorial Service was held May 1 at Pearce Memorial Church, North Chili. Interment at convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
Soldi, Mary C. (Panetta) "Nana," died April 30, 2007. Devoted mother and wife. Predeceased by her parents, Vito and Grace Panetta; sister and brother, Stella and Michael Panetta; husband, Louis Soldi; daughter Mary Lou Soldi DiPonzio. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, L. David and Gail Soldi, John L. and Michelle Soldi; grandchildren Michael (Christine) DiPonzio, Tara (Kevin) DiPonzio Hopson, Laura (David) DiPonzio Heise, Louis, Elizabeth, J.V. and Alyse Soldi; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Grace Hopson, Sydney Heise; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Pat Soldi, Elaine and Anthony Pesce; sister and best friend, Josephine Jeffers; many nieces and nephews.

Thrush, Cynthia A., April 28, 2007, at age 57. She was predeceased by her father Everett E. Thrush. She is survived by her mother Katherine M. Thrush of Spencerport; her siblings, Barbara (Jim) Fenstermaker of LeRoy, Dennis V. Thrush and Diana (David) Plucknette, both of Spencerport; several nieces and nephews. Cindy would best be known for her advocacy for the rights of the disabled and her love of animals.

Cowan, John R., April 30, 2007, age 92. He is survived by his wife, Sally Johncox Cowan; his children, Joan (James) Hamlin and Richard (Marcia) Cowan; step-daughter, Ann Purple; grandchildren, Christine, Craig and Curt Hamlin, Thomas Kennedy, Marcia Darby and Lisa Hugo; step-grandchildren, Todd and Jeffrey Lederhouse; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; cousin, John Shea; several nephews. He was a 1935 graduate of SUNY Brockport and retired in 1980 from Eastman Kodak where he was Manager, Corp. Employee Benefits Claims.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn R. Aradine of Madison, Wisconsin and his son, Richard (Janet) Aradine of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania; grand-children, Kristy Aradine of Vancouver, Washington and Jeff (Diana) Aradine of Tigard, Oregon; great-grand-children, Madison, Conrad and Piper; sister-in-law, Peggy Aradine of Churchville; several nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Taylor Instrument Co.
