Toogood, Thomas W., Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at age 87 in Mesa, Arizona. He was predeceased in 1996 by his wife of 55 years, Kathryn (Herbst) Toogood. He is survived by two sons, James E. Toogood of Spencerport, and J. Allan "Jerry" Toogood and his fiancee, Patricia Jenson of Higley, Arizona. He was a member of Valley-Simes Lodge #109 F.&A.M.
Funeral Services were held January 28 at Walker Brothers Company Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or to a charity of one's choice in his memory.
Stanley, Robert Jr., March 21, 2002 at the Mary Immaculate Hospital at the age of 71. He was the son of the late Charles (Minnie Slade) Stanley and was born in Shallotte, North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annie (Hill) Stanley; their children, Brenda (Herbert) Winters of Albion, Annie Stanley Hamilton of Batavia, Mabeline Stanley of Batavia, Betty Parks of Albion and Robert Lee (Judith) Stanley of Batavia; 18 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one brother, Simon (Willimena) Stanley; sister, Ruby Williams, both of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held March 27 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Interment Mount Albion Cemetery.
Boyd, Dorothy F., Suddenly on March 16, 2002 at age 96 in Brockport. Predeceased by husband, James O. Boyd. She is survived by son James A. Boyd of Troy; daughter, Susan M. (Richard) Alexander of Brockport; grandchildren, Steven Boyd Alexander, Elizabeth Dorothy (Lee) Anderson, Nancy Simmons Alexander; great grandchild, Jack Boyd Anderson.
She lived in Brockport for six years with her daughter and husband and grew to love western Monroe County with its picturesque farm land and variety of fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed reading and always had at least one book going.
She also enjoyed listening to the news, discussing current events and she never missed Jeopardy on television.
Dorothy loved going out to lunch or dinner with her family, was in good health until the last few days of her life and she died four days short of her 97th birthday.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Donations can be made in her memory to the First Presbyterian Church, Lansingburgh, NY.
Russotti, Michael, March 24, 2002 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances; daughter-in-law, Lucy Carter of Albion; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren; his sister, Carmella Jones of Florida; several nieces and nephews. Michael was a veteran of WWII.
Funeral Services were held March 27 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Gruendike, Joan, Age 95, was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and lived in Chili near the corner of Chili Avenue and Beaver Road in 1921. She married Wilbur Gruendike in 1926 and raised her children at the home they built on Buffalo Road. She was active in the Girl Scouts, the United Methodist Church, Pearce Memorial Church, Lakeside Hospital Twig Association and volunteered for Strong Memorial Hospital.
Joan passed away at the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester, February 8, 2002.
She had passion for hospitality, generosity and an indefatigable spirit and love of life, family and faith in God. A kind, white haired and self-reliant lady at age 40, she was mother to many and grandmother to all young people she met.
Her children are Jean Ellinwood of Spencerport, Joyce Vembre, Brockport and Larry (Martina) Gruendike of Seattle, Washington; eleven grandchildren (Joan Charles, Carol Ellinwood, Todd Ellinwood, Tom Ellinwood, Larry J. Gruendike, Jill Gruschow, Jacqueline (Gruendike) Lefort, Janice Payne, Cindy Steltz, Doug Tyner and Connie Tyson); 22 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services were held February 16 in Chili and remembrances may be sent to Pearce Memorial Church, North Chili, NY in her name.
Baker, Randal J. "Randy," Peacefully on March 25, 2002, age 37. He is survived by his wife, Christine; his parents, David and Janet Baker; his children, Jacqueline, Robert, Abby and Emily; brother, David (Susan) Baker; his sister, Jill (William) Valle; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Barbara Carmen; his brother-in-law, Wayne (Patricia) Carmen; his sister-in-law, Susan (Brian) Duffy; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many close friends.

Hoefen, Esther J., March 24, 2002 at age 80. She is predeceased by her husband, Willard; daughter, Judy, son, Mark. She is survived by her children, John (Michelle) Hoefen, Michael Hoefen, JoAnne (William) Camann; sister, Thelma (George) Goodman; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
