Soeder, Edith G., July 10, 2008, age 95. Survived by her children, Sr. Marilyn Soeder, Frank (Lorraine) Soeder and Thomas (Patricia) Soeder; three grandchildren, Timothy, Robert and Michael Soeder; two great-grandchildren, Tannor and Lucas; her twin sisters, Elisabeth Ambrose and Mary R. Bevans.

Volkmar, James H., July 13, 2008, age 76. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor, 2003 and his granddaughter, Malory Grace. Survived by his children, Cheryl (Michael) Rhoda, James (Gina) Volkmar and Linda Volkmar; grandchildren Sean and Stephanie Rhoda, Nicholas Delvecchio, Jonathon and Daniela Volkmar; his brother, Charles (Sharon) Volkmar; his sisters, Mary Lociano, Joyce Zayas and Donna (Paul) Davis; also predeceased by his brother Ronald and sister, Jean Heinsler.
A Funeral Service was held July 17 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment with Military Honors, Parma Union Cemetery.
Fuller, Mary Y., July 14, 2008 at age 90. She was predeceased by her husband, Sanford "Sam" Fuller. She is survived by her children, Jeanette (David) Ess, James Fuller of Roseburg, Oregon; grandchildren Shelly Beechner, Eric (Kris) Ess, Tracy (Mark) DiOrio, Tina Nau; great-grandchildren, Donnie, Myah, Domenic, Kevin Jr., and Parker; brothers, William Losee of Garland, Texas; many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #954 Churchville.

Jacobs, Charles J., July 15, 2008. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Jacobs; beloved daughter, Linda Meyer; cherished grandsons, James Meyer and Christopher Meyer (US Army serving in Iraq); several nieces and nephews. He was the former owner of Jacob's Dairy Farm, formerly located in Gates.
Private services were held. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery.
Ames, Dawn Hall Hands, June 27, 2008, age 80. Dawn was a graduate of the Eastman School of Music in 1949. She taught music for 20 years in the Holley Central School District. She was predeceased by parents Philip and Grace Hall, and step-daughter Tammy Bischoping. She is survived by her husband, Beryl Ames; and children: Jeffrey (Wendy) Hands, Marcie (Nick) Marsik, Susan (Dwayne) Granger, Debbie (Ronald) Granger, Bruce Ames; as well as numerous grandchildren.

Sisson, K. Louise, died in Port Charlotte, Florida on June 6, 2008. Louise taught for many years at Spencerport High School, and served as a guidance counselor until her retirement. She was very active as a volunteer in many Florida charities. Her husband, Robert G. Sisson, predeceased her. She leaves behind stepsons Ronald (Marcia) and Richard (Donna) Sisson; five grandchildren, Julie, Mike and Adam Sisson, Kevin and Jenny Borden; several nieces and nephews; dear friends Patty Brown and Bobby Tanner; and many much loved former students and colleagues.

Surman, Joseph S., Age 51, died unexpectedly on July 11, 2008 at his residence. Born on February 14, 1957 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Stanley S. Surman of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Caroline (nee Leo) Surman. Joseph worked for the former Moore Business Forms, now known as Peak Technologies. In addition to his father, Mr. Surman is survived by one son Johnathan B. Surman of Willowick, Ohio; one sister, Mary Forster of Niagara Falls and one brother, Stanley S. Surman of Niagara Falls. Joseph is also survived by nieces and nephews, Amanda, Nicholas and Samantha Forster of Niagara Falls, among other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by an infant son, Joseph.
Funeral Services were held July 17 at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Niagara Falls. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
Warner, Jeanne M., July 9, 2008, at age 84. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert. Survived by sons, Bradley (financee Pamela Quayle) and Michael (Elaine) Warner; grandchildren, Leyla Metzger, Rebecca Killbride, Peter and Kelly Warner; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Francis (Therese) O'Connor;
Interment was held privately.
Blair, M. Robert "Bob," Age 83, July 6, 2008. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Brundage Blair; sons, Richard (LeeAnn) Blair and Jerry (Gail) Blair; daughters, Carolyn (Jerry) Weit, Nancy (Dave) Gardner and Linda (Dick) Ayres; a brother and four sisters; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Interment with Graveside Prayers was held July 10 in White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to the family in his memory.
Kavanagh, Frances Bonita "Bonnie", died April 13, 2008 in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was well known in Churchville as a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church, where she taught catechism. She worked at Churchville-Chili School as a librarian for many years before she progressed to the Univeristy of Rochester, and then on to being the Housing Administrator for Rochester Institute of Technology, before retiring. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Terry; three children, Ellen Janda, Rockport, Washington, Pat Kavanagh, Bergen and Kathy Hamlin, Orange City, Florida; eight grandchildren and four natural great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held July 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. After the burial, the wake will follow at the American Legion in Churchville.
