Survived by: Beloved Father of Paul Merkel of California and Bernard (Sharon) Merkel. Brother of Frank (Francis) and Gordon (Rita) Merkel. 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Born at: Rochester, NY
History: William was a retired Supervisor from Kodak.
Accomplishments: William was a WWII 1st SGT Veteran of the US Army. He built the Yukon Highway. He was a member of The Black Lake Association.
Donations: School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Pkwy Rochester, NY 14623.
Services: BARTOLOMEO & PEROTTO Funeral Home Inc. NO PRIOR VISITATION. William`s Memorial Mass will be Saturday May 11, 2002 at 9 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment Private.

History: Dorothy graduated Charlotte High School in 1953. She was a former employee of the California Labor Dept and former resident of Sacramento. Dorothy loved Jazz and traveling, she was a special sister, sister-in-law & Aunt

Carmela "Millie" (Pilato) Montello
March 10, 1926 - June 15, 2002

Survived by: Survived by her children, MaryJo (Jon) Toepfer, Sam Montello; daughter-in-law Judith Montello; grandchildren, Jeremy, Lea, Max, Gabe, Jason & Jacob; brother Joseph (Mary) Pilato; sisters and brother in Italy, Santina Mondello, Antonino (Nanina) Pilato, Eleonora Pilato; many Nieces and Nephews.
Born at: Realmonte, Italy
Accomplishments: Millie loved her grandchildren and was a surrogate mother to many people. She enjoyed canning and sewing. She was a tremendous cook, independent, hard working and a natural caregiver. She was truly the matriarch of the family.

Survived by: Survived by her husband of 52 years Antonino Pilato; children, Salvatore (Maria) Pilato, Tony (Peggy) Pilato, Fran (Salvatore) Butera, Ann (Kurt) Stell, Joseph Pilato, Florence Pilato, Peter Monacelli; 11 Grandchildren; 10 Brothers and Sisters in Italy; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Joseph & Maria Pilato, Angela & Charlie Sole, Sarah & Paul Hadjes, Nick & Beth Pilato, George & Rose Cordaro; several Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
Born at: Relamonte, Italy
Accomplishments: Giuseppa loved her grandchildren and especially enjoyed babysitting for them. She was very thoughtful, loving and soft spoken. Giuseppa enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, knitting, swimming, and Italy.

Francis G. "Fran" Stoffel
October 13, 1922 - June 22, 2002
Pre-deceased by: His brother, Frederick Stoffel.
Survived by: GREECE: June 22, 2002 age 79. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris (Jesmer); 3 children, Tim (Debbie), Laura Stoffel-Palmer, John (Susan); 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sister, Mary Stoffel-Kenyon; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Born at: Spencerport, NY
History: Fran died after a short illness. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the US Army Air Corps for 4 years from 1942-1946. Upon being discharged, Fran started his own business (Daken Electronics) where he remianed until 1965. From 1965-1970 Fran worked for Hickson Electric, then from 1970-1988 he worked for Rosa & Sullivan Service Dept. after which he retired and worked part time at EIC Electronics.
Accomplishments: Fran was an avid pilot, he started flying prior to WWII, owned his own aircraft for many years flying from Ledgedale (Brockport) Airport and was a member of the AOPA. He enjoyed flying, Air Shows, spending time with his family and tinkering--he could build or fix anything

Frances P. (Ruscio) Cogliandro
January 2, 1941 - September 20, 2002

Survived by: Survived by her children, Carla Cogliandro, Kelly Cogliandro, Carl Cogliandro; mother Rose Ruscio; brother Sam (Karen) Ruscio; 1 niece and 1 nephew; several aunts and cousins.

History: Fran retired form Eastman Kodak CO., where she worked as a secretary.
Accomplishments: Fran cherished her three children. She was very creative and enjoyed painting, arts & crafts and had a green thumb around her yard. Fran was very witty and strong willed. She especially enjoyed Neil Diamond.
Donations: In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Mary`s Hospice, 89 Genesee St., Rochester, NY 14611 in Fran`s memory.
