John May, 84, of Route 162, Sprakers, died early Sunday morning at Albany Medical Center.
Arrangements by the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 698 Otsego St., Canajoharie are incomplete and will be announced.

Hazel Radigan
March 6, 2000
Hazel B. Radigan, 93, formerly of Route 30, town of Broadalbin, died Monday evening at Montgomery Meadows where she had been a resident for the past four years.
She was born April 6, 1906, in Amsterdam, the daughter of Howard and Alice Cone Cramer. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.
Mrs. Radigan owned and operated her own catering business for 10 years until her retirement in 1982. She was a waitress for various restaurants, including Butches Drum, Chelsea House, Perez Rendezvous in Galway, Elks Club and Tower Inn.
She was a volunteer nurse's aid for Amsterdam Memorial Hospital during World War II. She was a member of the Mohawk Mills Glee Club. She also played piano for the Stran Theater during silent movies.
Mrs. Radigan put on meals for Amsterdam Kiwanis at the YMCA and for the Rotary Club of Amsterdam.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She married Thomas Joseph Radigan April 30, 1927. He died Sept. 14, 1982.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas R. Radigan of Galway and Robert E. Radigan of Colonie; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam.
Interment will be in Hagaman Cemetery in the spring.
A calling hour will begin at noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Broadalbin Volunteer Fire Department.

Brian Lehan
March 6, 2000
Brian J. Lehan, 46, of Park Street, Gloversville, died Monday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Schenectady and raised in Virginia. He moved to the Capital District as an adult. He graduated from Linton High School in 1973.
He was a house cook and adviser for the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity at Union College for 13 years and was named an honorary brother.
He was the manager of Just Jack's restaurant on Erie Boulevard, Schenectady.
Mr. Lehan served on the Gloversville Board of Education as a parent advocate for children with special needs.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Pamela Pollack Lehan; two daughters, Ashley E. and Courtney C. Lehan, both of Gloversville; a son, Bradley J. Lehan of Gloversville; a sister, Kathleen A. Perry of Ballston Spa; and two brothers, Timothy P. Lehan of Raleigh, N.C., and Michael R. Lehan of Colonial Heights, Va.
The funeral is 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union St., Schenectady, followed at 11:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, Schenectady.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Glens Falls.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Leonard Brudzienski
March 4, 2000
Leonard J. Brudzienski, 79, of Lomasney Avenue, Schenectady, died Saturday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Schenectady, the son of Joseph and Bernice Derezewski Brudzienski, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp in the Pacific Theatre of Operations during World War II.
Mr. Brudzienski was employed in the turbine department at General Electric Co. in Schenectady and was a security guard at Knolls Atomic Laboratory for 39 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Schenectady.
He was a past member of the Young Men's Polish Association and golf league, coach of the Northside Little League, and a member of the GE Quarter Century Club.
Survivors include a son, James L. Brudsienski of Rotterdam; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Leszczynski Funeral Home, 778 Eastern Ave., Schenectady, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Church.
Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Margaret Conrad
March 4, 2000
Margaret N. Conrad, 89, of High Street, Fort Plain, died early Saturday at her son's home in Hanover, Md., after a short illness.
She was born July 16, 1910, in Worcester, England, the daughter of Frederick and Martha Philpott Fudger. She was educated in Johnstown and was a graduate of the former Amsterdam City Hospital School of Nursing. She lived in Fort Plain since 1936.
Mrs. Conrad was a registered nurse at the former Amsterdam City Hospital for many years. She was a nurse at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, Little Falls Hospital, and Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was also a private duty nursing in the area.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Fort Plain and a member of the Alumni Association of Amsterdam City Hospital.
She married Leland C. Conrad July 15, 1936. He died Aug. 20, 1993.
Survivors include a son, Gary L. Conrad of Hanover, Md.; four brothers, Albert Fudger of Johnstown, James Fudger of Sacandaga Lake, Percy Fudger of Rockwood, and Frederick Fudger of Santa Anna, Calif.; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday at Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center St., Fort Plain, with the Rev. Kenneth Dingman officiating.
Burial will be in Fort Place Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Plain 13339; or Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 126, Canajoharie 13317.

Judith Jones

Judith Ann Jones, 49, of Second Avenue Extension, Tribes Hill, died Monday night in Texas as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Mary Brinkman, 94, of Park Hill Adult Home, Amsterdam, died this morning at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.

Norma Fura
March 8, 2000
Norma C. Fura, 74, of Pulaski Street, Amsterdam, died Wednesday morning at home after being stricken.
She was born Jan. 22, 1926, in Amsterdam, the daughter of Frank and Mary Jesz Kozlowski. She was educated locally and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Fura was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and its Rosary Society.
She married John J. "Pete" Fura April 26, 1947. He died July 14, 1997. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Mary Fura Francisco, May 11, 1997.
Survivors include three sons, John Fura of Charlton, Robert Fura of Fort Johnson, and Edward Fura of Amsterdam; two sisters, Martha Techmanski and Irene Sullivan, both of Amsterdam; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home, 200 Church St., Amsterdam, followed at 9 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Church.
Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, during which the Rosary will be recited at 5:15 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, St. Stanislaus Church or school, or to a charity of one's choice.

Doris Gaydusek
March 7, 2000
Doris Gaydusek, 80, formerly of Trackside Home in Johnstown, died Tuesday at Fulton County Regional Health Care Facility after a long illness.
She was born May 12, 1919, in Amsterdam, the daughter of John and Louise Welke Kelly. She was a 1936 graduate of Johnstown High School.
Mrs. Gaydusek was a telephone operator for Johnstown Telephone Co. and was a waitress at various area restaurants, retiring form the Manor House Restaurant in Gloversville in 1982. She was also a published poet.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.
She married Stephen J. Gaydusek Sr. in 1937. He died in 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen J. Gaydusek Jr. of St. Johnsville and Gerald T. Gaydusek of Broadalbin; a sister, Geraldine Valachovic of Johnstown; three grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date.
Cremation will be at Parkview Crematory in Schenectady with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson.
Arrangements are by the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home.

Jane Hickey
March 7, 2000
Jane Cogan Hickey, 97, formerly of Jefferson Street, Saratoga Springs, died Tuesday at Saratoga Hospital.
She was born in Saratoga Springs, was a 1920 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Hickey was a bookkeeper for more than 30 years for her husband and son at Hickey's Service Station on Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs.
She was a member and former director of the Saratoga Springs Senior Citizens Center and was a foster grandmother for the Saratoga County ARC program.
She was a member and eucharistic minister of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the parish retreat program and prayer line.
Mrs. Hickey was a life member of Court McLaughlin 422, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and was a member of the Legion of Mary.
Her husband, James A. Hickey, died in 1959.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Noel MacMasters of Saratoga Springs, Nancy Schaffer of Seneca, S.C., and Joanne Fitzgerald of Staten Island; three sons, James E. Hickey of Saratoga Springs, Thomas J. Hickey of Fort Plain, and David Hickey of Ajax, Ontario; 32 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Wm. J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway. Members of the Catholic Daughters will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Birthright, 11 Malta Ave., Ballston Spa 12020; or St. Clement's Building Fund, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs 12866.

Melvin Kruger

Melvin E. Kruger, 82, of Second Avenue, Tribes Hill, died Wednesday evening at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility, Amsterdam, following a long illness.

Alta Looman
March 7, 2000
Alta I. Looman, 86, of Main Street, Fort Plain, died Tuesday at Baptist Health Center in Scotia after a brief illness.
She was born July 16, 1913, in the town of Little Falls, the daughter of George and Maude E. Herringshaw Mosher. She was a lifelong area resident.
She was a housekeeper in various area homes.
She was a communicant of Fort Plain Methodist Church.
She married Francis A. Looman on Jan. 8 1933. He died Sept. 1, 1979.
She was predeceased by a son, David Looman, in 1982.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Looman Lasher of Fort Plain and Lillian Looman of Park City, Utah; five sons, Carl Looman of Pflugeville, Texas, Benjamin Looman of Olmito, Texas, Floyd Looman of Scotia, Robert Looman of Venetia, Pa., and Paul Looman of Gloversville; four sisters, Fredia Miller of Little Falls, Alberta Voght of Fonda, and Armetta Dillenbeck and Reba Herringshaw, both of Fort Plain; three brothers, Alfred Mosher of Nelliston, and Robert Mosher and Howard Mosher, both of Fort Plain; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center St., Fort Plain, with the Rev. Alan Baumback officiating.
Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 126, Canajoharie 13317; or a charity of one's choice.
