Mr. Anthony Warren, 88, of Langley Road (Town of Florida), Amsterdam died Sunday evening at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born on August 12, 1915 in Rumford, Maine he was the son of Anthony and Paulin Chiknoski Warren.
As a young boy he moved to Hudson, New York. He attended Hudson High School. He later moved to Amsterdam.
Mr. Warren was a World War II Coast Guard Veteran.
He was employed by the General Electric as a machinist for 37 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the General Electric Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the Church of Saint John the Baptist.
Mr. Warren is survived by his wife of 66 years, Florence Carbone Warren whom he married on January 10, 1937; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held 8:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Amsterdam Funeral Chapel, 13 Belmont Place, followed at 9:00 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of Saint John the Baptist.
Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Mr. Warren's memory to the Church of Saint John the Baptist.
Mary G. Jendrzejczak

Private services will be held for Mrs. Mary G. Jendrzejczak, 92, of Horseshoe Trail, Lusby, Maryland, formerly of Star Route, Northern Boulevard, Hagaman, NY who passed away Sunday morning at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
She was born July 6, 1911 in Amsterdam, NY a daughter of the late Frank and Alice Imberski Gniady.
She was a graduate of Amsterdam High School and resided in Hagaman until moving to Maryland in 1997.
Mrs. Jendrzejczak was employed for several years by the former Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Company. She was also a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Amsterdam, NY. She was a member of Our Lady Star of Sea Roman Catholic Church in Solomons, Maryland.
She was married to Frank Jendrzejczak on May 1, 1932. He died October 20, 1983.
Survivors include one son, Robert Jendrzejczak and his wife Evelyn, Lusby, MD; three grandchildren, Jo Ann Redfearn, Fort Valley, Virginia, Barbara La Porte, Lusby, MD and Thomas Jendrzejczak, Felts Mills, NY; two great grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle La Porte; one sister, Cecelia Norton, San Leandro, CA; nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church.
Arrangements are by the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home, 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY.
Helen Bautochka

Mrs. Helen Bautochka, 78, of State Route 145, Sharon Springs in the town of Sharon, died Monday at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown after a short illness.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Lappeus Funeral Home, 113 Park Street, Sharon Springs,
Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Spring burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Springs Volunteer Rescue Squad, in care of Mr. Steven DiCicco, P.O. Box 514, Sharon Springs, NY 13459.
Austin F. (Audie) Richardson
February 21, 2003
Amsterdam has grown a little smaller with the passing Friday of Audie Richardson.
Born in Amsterdam on Aug. 18, 1938, he was the son of Austin and Dorothy Miles Richardson and lived in Amsterdam most of his life.
A caring and loving family member, Audie will be most notably remembered as the owner and driver of Midtown Taxi Inc. and as a popular musician in the 1960s. He played guitar and sang lead vocals for local bands including the Swinging Troubadours. His personal style and friendly good-natured appear helped his success in both endeavors.
Audie will be rejoining his wife Linda in eternal rest.
His loving family includes three sons, Jeff (Wendy) Richardson of Orange Park, Fla., Steven L. Richardson of Amsterdam and Robert (Tammy) Richardson of Hagaman; three daughters, Jill Audette Richardson of Johnstown, Suzanne M. Richardson of Fultonville and Leah Richardson and her fiancee, Joe Vitalis, of Perth; two brothers, Abram Richardson of Amsterdam and William Miles of Schenectady; three sisters, Grace Wells of Amsterdam, also Mary Jane and Irene; 15 grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.
Services are Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, with the Rev. Christopher J. DeGraaf officiating. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Amsterdam Riverfront Cancer Center.

Charles A. Pikor

Charles A. Pikor, 66, of Maple Lane, Broadalbin, died Sunday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam following a brief illness.
He was born in Amsterdam on January 14, 1937 a son of Albert and Rita Bellinger Pikor and was a 1955 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Mr. Pikor had resided in Broadalbin for the past 39 years.
At one time, he was employed at the Eddy Brush Co., formerly of Amsterdam. Mr. Pikor was employed in maintenance at Mohawk Sportswear for 23 1/2 years followed by 12 years of employment at the former Esquire Co., both formerly of Amsterdam.
He was a U.S. veteran of the Air Force and served from 1955-1959.
Mr. Pikor was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Broadalbin and a member of it's Holy Name Society.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Pikor enjoyed the outdoors. He was fond of gardening and bowling.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carrie Landers Pikor, whom he married on August 31, 1963; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Donna Pikor of Broadalbin; five stepchildren; three grandchildren; 18 step grandchildren; 19 step great grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9;30 a.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc., 38 West Main Street, Broadalbin followed by a Mass of Chirstian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 7 North Street, Broadalbin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Spring burial will be held in the Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to his family, in care of the funeral home, to assist them in securing a family monument.
Vito Tambasco

Vito Tambasco, 80, a longtime resident of Amsterdam, ended his battle with cancer on Saturday, March 8, 2003, in Albany, NY.
Born in Amsterdam on November 29, 1922, he was a son of the late Louis and Rose Agresta Tambasco.
Mr. Tambasco received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School. He was self-employed in the home improvement business and was the owner of Tambasco Overhead Doors for many years.
He enjoyed square dancing and was associated with Saratoga Dancers and Single Squares Club.
Mr. Tambasco is survived by his longtime companion, Helen Richardson of Saratoga Springs, NY; his children, Louis D. and his wife JoAnn Tambasco of San Angelo, TX, John A. Tambasco of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Christopher S. and his wife Sherlyn Tambasco of Woodland Hills, UT, Ron L. and his wife Lillian Tambasco of Odessa, FL; three daughter, Lisa Clark and her husband John of Mesa, AZ, Tina Ellison and her husband James of Lutz, FL, and Kim Piracci and husband Michael of Chapel Hill, NC; one brother, Anthony Tambasco of Grass Valley, CA; six sisters, Carmella "Millie" Pitucci of Schenectady, NY, Virginia Larizza, Louise Allen, Ileana Lolatte, Marilyn Butler and Delores Schlump all of Boynton Beach, FL; eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held.
Cremation was at Park View Crematorium.

Valerie J. (Lynch) Richard

Valerie J. (Lynch) Richard, age 29, of 7166 State Rt. 29, Dolgeville, (town of Oppenheim), beloved wife of Thomas H. Richard, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Thursday evening, March 6, 2003 at Little Falls Hospital.
She was born on May 24, 1973 in Little Falls a daughter of Roger K. and Cheryl L. (Smith) Lynch of Oppenheim. She received her education in Oppenheim Schools and furthered her education by attending Herkimer County Community College where she was pursuing a degree in Sports Medicine.
Valerie was united in marriage with Thomas H. Richard on May 30, 1998 in the Baptist Church in little Falls. Throughout their four years of marriage the couple provided each other with steadfast love and dedication. She was last employed as branch operation supervisor for Fleet Bank in Ilion. She attended the First Baptist Church, Little Falls.
The most significant and meaningful priorities in Valerie's life were her dedication to family and friends. Imbued with a zest for life, she lived each day to the fullest enjoying the company of her loved ones and filling every hour with them with worthwhile effort, involvement or activity. She loved to snowmobile and enjoyed the outdoors.
Valerie will be remembered by all who knew her as a happy person, one who was dignified in both appearance and character.
She is survived by her beloved husband Tom of the home address; her father and mother, Roger and Cheryl Lynch of Oppenheim; father in law and mother in law, James and Dale Richard of Little Falls; grandparents, Edmund and Edna Lynch of Oppenheim and Robert and Mary Pierce of Oppenheim; her cherished daughter, Valerie Ireland Richard; brothers, Seth, Jordan and Kyle Lynch, all of Oppenheim; sisters, Jessica Lynch-Kucel and husband Ronald of Oppenheim and Kristy Lynch of Oppenheim; brothers in law, Robert Richard and David Richard of Little Falls; several nieces, nephews, cousin, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Lynch.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Sunday, March 9, 2003 from 4-8 p.m.
Valerie's funeral will commence at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2003 from the First Baptist Church, Albany Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Donald Dixon, pastor officiating.
Valerie would have wanted contributions in her honor to go toward her daughter's education and donations may be made at the funeral home for those wishing to do so.
Also consider donations in her honor to the Crisis Pregnancy Center, envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Called to the Lord on March 10, 2003, surrounded by her family in her home, Wilmington, Delaware. She was 54 yrs old, the wife of Stanley C. Watson.
She was born in Amsterdam, New York, daughter of Rhoda Longshore of Johnstown, New York, and the Late Anson S. Dievendorf.
She lived in Delaware since 1997 and formerly Berlin, NJ. She was a High School Choir Teacher retired in 2001 after 15 yrs at Glassboro, NJ, Schools and continued to work with the Youth Choir at Westminster Presbyterian Church, West Chester, PA.
She was third in her 1966 class of Canajoharie High School, NY. She graduated from Chatham College in 1970, was a Minna Kaufman Ruud Scholar in Northern Italy, and attended graduate school at Hartt University.
She started her career as a member of the professional choir at Shadyside Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA, and finished as a member of Westminster Presbyterian. While teaching at Glassboro, she was awarded 2 golden apple teacher of the year awards and was in "Who's Who in American Teachers" and "Who's Who in America." She was a member of both the Music Educators and the NJ Education Associations.
Surviving besides her husband and mother are two sons, Capt. Thomas A. Bickerstaff, Jr. and Capt. David A. Bickerstaff both of Berlin, NJ, a step-son, Craig Watson of Newark, DE, stepdaughter Lysa Peters of Hockessin, DE, and four grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial and Celebration Service 11AM on Saturday, March 22, 2003, at the Reform Church of Canajoharie, 15-19 Front St., Canajoharie, NY. A reception luncheon will follow, interment private.

Isabella K. "Isy" Bull
March 17, 2003
Isabella K. "Isy" Bull, 63, of Kreisel Terrace, passed away Monday afternoon at her home with her loving family at her side.
Born in Troy on October 28, 1939, the only child of Peter and Katherine Paradowski VanDitto. She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School where she resided until her marriage when she moved to Amsterdam. Isy was employed at one time by the Collegiate Mail Order Company in Troy. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church and it's Faithful Followers.
On September 10, 1967 she was united in marriage to Ronald C. Bull Sr,
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ronald C. Bull Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Johnstown, Lisa Krom and her husband Tracey of Hurley, NY; and Terri Bull of Amsterdam; her mother, Katherine VanDitto of Kingston; her father-in-law Gerald Bull of Amsterdam; four special grandchildren, Jason Hayes, Lukas Bull, John Frederick and Matthew Krom; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are Thursday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, Inc., 171 Guy Park Avenue. The Rev. Robert W. Busch officiating. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are this evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. The Faithful Followers will gather at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Amsterdam, Manny Corners Rd., Amsterdam to whom the family is most grateful for her care.
Donna Enos-Wegner

Donna Enos-Wegner, 66, of Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, passed away Sunday afternoon at her residence.
Born in Utica on August 4, 1936, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence Goodhines Enos.
Mrs. Enos-Wegner was employed as a secretary at Capital Outdoor Advertising.
Cremation was at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.
Michael Sikorski
March 11, 2003
Michael Sikorski, 86, of Brooksville, FL passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville. He was born in Troy, NY on December 21, 1916. He was married in 1938 to Anastaczia Polochacz until her death in 1990. He worked for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. for 36 years and retired in 1979. He is survived by his wife, Harriet Ahnert DePaula Sikorski who he married in April 1991. They moved to Spring Hill, Florida in 1994.
He is also survived by two daughters, Sonya Snyder of Brooksville, and Barbara Patrenicola of Malone, NY; two sisters, Theresa Brino and Mary Taylor, both of Castleton, NY; three grandchildren Holly Mayer of Ballston Spa, NY, Michael Synder of Johnstown, NY, and Peter J. Patrenicola of Malone, NY; and one great grandchild, Greyson T. Snyder of Broadalbin, NY.

John William Dietrich

Mr. John William Dietrich, 75, of Salt Springville Rd, Fort Plain died Monday evening March 17, 2003 at home after a long illness.
Mr. Dietrich was born November 24, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of John Wilson and Louise Speckenbeck Dietrich.
Mr. Dietrich received his high school diploma from Fort Plain Central School as part of the WWII Diploma Act.
He was aemployed as a machinist at Nabisco, in Beacon, NY for 40 years, retiring in 1982.
He was an area resident since 1982. He also lived in Cold springs (Nelsonville), NY.
Mr Dietrich served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947-1951 as a firefighter.
He was of Baptist faith.
He was a life member of the former Nelsonville Fire Dept. and member of St. Roccos.
He married Sarah Lewis Dietrich on October 26, 1952, in Cold Springs, NY.
He is survived by his wife Sarah A. Dietrich of Fort Plain, NY; one daughter, Rosemary A. Blowers of Nelliston, NY; two sons John William Dietrich Jr. of Lakeland, FL, and Larry Eugene Dietrich of Fort Plain, NY; two grandchildren James P. Murphy of St. Johnsville, NY, and Bryan Turci of Hawaii; four great grandchildren, Zackary Tyler Murphy, Patrick James Murphy, Melissa Rae Murphy and Shawn Michael Murphy all of St. Johnsville, NY; one brother, Wilson Jack Dietrich of St. Petersburg, FL; one sister Louise M. Baxter of Cold Springs, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a Sister, Helen Catherine Dietrich.
At 10 AM funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2003 at the Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY, with the Rev. Kenneth Dingman officiating. Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery at a later date.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, March 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to South Minden Volunteer Fire Department, 1029 St. Hwy 163, Fort Plain, NY 13339
Jennie DeStefano Mercurio

Jennie DeStefano Mercurio, of William Street, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home at the age of 102.
Born in Ferazzano, Province of Molise, Campobasso, Italy on July 13, 1900, she was the daughter of Joseph and Clementine Fratianni DeStefano, she came to this country as an infant with her parents and lived here most of her life.
She was employed by Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. and later Fownes Brothers and the Amsterdam Glove Companies until she retired.
She was a member of the former St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. and until recently was a daily communicant at St. Mary's Church. Jennie was a member of the Third Order of Secular Franciscans.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank Mercurio who died on October 26, 1936. Also her sons-in-law, Edward Hastings and Thomas Donlon, sisters Louise Frascatore, Frances Meola and Anna Sanders.
Her loving family includes her daughters: Marie Hastings of Amsterdam, Sr. Maria Mercurio CSJ of the Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception in Albany, and Jeanne M. Donlon of Pennington, NJ; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, a sister: Angeline Marmo of Schenectady, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are Friday at 10:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, Inc., 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial to be con-celebrated at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, East Main Street. Interment is in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home where the Third Order Of St. Francis will recite the Franciscan Rosary and Crown at 3:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Amsterdam Free Library, 28 Church Street or the Sister's Of St. Joseph Retirement Fund, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110.

Elizabeth (Sajta) Teller, 63, of Albermarle Rd., Scotia, died on Monday, March 17, 2003 at Hallmark Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born in Amsterdam, the daughter of the late John J. Sajta and Evelyn (Conover) Sajta of Amsterdam, she was a graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of the Abounding Grace Christian Church in Rotterdam, NY. Beside her mother survivors include her husband Calvin A. Teller, four children: Marjorie Fagan of Schenectady, Calvin A. Teller II of East Greenbush, William B. Teller and his wife Linda of Scotia and David J. Teller and his wife Laurie of Duanesburg, a brother: Peter Sajta and his wife Joanne of Hagaman, NY, a sister: Patricia Mast and her husband Christopher of Broadalbin, NY and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 10 to 11 am prior to the funeral service. Interment in Memory's Garden, Colonie, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Abounding Grace Christian Church, 3060 Hamburg Street, Schenectady, NY 12303 in her memory.
