J. Vincent Jowett
Born in Watertown, NY on Jul. 19, 1928
At Rest Sep. 28, 2011 and resided in Tribes Hill, NY.

J. Vincent "Vince" Jowett passed away peacefully with his family present on Wednesday September 28, 2011 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY. Born in Watertown, NY on July 19, 1928 he was the son of the late Joseph Wesley Jowett and Caroline Amans Jowett.

Vincent was a 1945 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School and later a graduate of Paul Smith's College. He worked as a Civil Engineer on various projects in the Capital District in upstate New York until his retirement.

On July 3, 1949 he was united in marriage to Helen Sample. Vince was a member of the Amsterdam Lodge F&AM; and served proudly with the United States Army following WWII.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by family and friends; Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Helen Jowett; one son, Jack J. Jowett of Selkirk, NY; three daughters, Susan J Romsiewicz and her husband Leo of Kennesaw GA; Patricia A. Jowett of Syracuse, NY and Anne J.Gold and her husband Andrew Gold of New Rochelle, NY; and six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.

Though Vince is no longer with us, the space he leaves behind is indelibly imprinted with his values, it resonates for all of us who strive to think clearly, to live simply, and to love friends and family deeply. The Service of Remembrance is private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.

Walter Alexander Reid
Born in Detroit, Michigan on Aug. 25, 1926
At Rest Sep. 24, 2011 and resided in Caroga Lake, NY.

Walter Alexander "Alec" Reid died on September 24, 2011 at his home on Canada Lake. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 25, 1926 and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and later enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, serving in occupied Japan.
He attended Michigan State University, receiving a Master's Degree in Mathematics. It was there he met his first wife, Jean (nee Root). They were married in 1952. She died in 1978. His professional career was spent at International Business Machine (IBM).
His second wife was Barbara McMartin, who also predeceased him. He spent his retirement traveling the world with her and supporting her extensive writing career centered on the Adirondacks, most notably the "Discover the Adirondacks" series. He hiked the trails and provided a myriad of editorial support services.
Survivors include his brother, George Reid; his daughters Karen and Pauline Reid; as do his stepchildren James Long (partner Anita Miller), Nancy Long (husband Richard Loomis) and Margaret Lawrence (husband Robert). Three step granddaughters also survive him: Alicia Loomis, Casey Loomis, Elizabeth Loomis and step grandson Daniel Lawrence.
In keeping with Alec's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. Donations may be made in Alec's memory to The Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203 or the Adirondack Museum, Rte 28N & 30, Blue Mountain Lake, NY 12812.

Yolanda M. Constantino Petrosino
Born in Amsterdam, NY on Feb. 11, 1927
At Rest Sep. 14, 2011 and resided in Amsterdam, NY.

Yolanda M. Constantino Petrosino, who had been residing at her daughter's home in Clifton Park, NY entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2011. She was 84 years old.
Born in Amsterdam on February 11, 1927, the daughter of Angelo and Louisa DePasquale Constantino, Yolanda attended Amsterdam schools and later was employed by the Naval Supply Depot in Scotia. On October 17, 1954 she married Albert J. Petrosino. He passed away on July 24, 2001. Following her marriage, she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Yolanda was a parishioner of the former St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. She especially enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time at her summer home with family and dear friends. She was a member of the Home Bureau and at one time was an avid bowler on several leagues.
Survivors include her daughter Maria Petrosino McAuliffe; her dear grandchildren Daniel, Nicole and Maxwell McAuliffe, son Joe and his wife Annie of Tallahassee, Fla., and their children Katelin, Ian and Joey, a special niece Doreen Kirby and her husband Steve and their daughters Cherisse and Theresa.Yolanda was also predeceased by brothers John and Peter Constantino, sisters Catherine Ambrosino, Carmella and Josephine Constantino and Helen Rizzo.
A prayer service will take place Saturday at 10:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 11:15 am at St. Stanislaus' Church. Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis, celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 9:30am to 10:30 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson. Memorials may be made in her name to the Montgomery County Office For Aging in care of the funeral home office.

Gloria J. Coager
Born in Amsterdam, New York on Mar. 9, 1925
At Rest Sep. 20, 2011 and resided in Saratog Springs, NY.

Gloria J. Parlapiano Coager, 86 formerly of Scotia, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at the Wesley Nursing Home. She was a resident of Saratoga Springs the past several years.
Born in Amsterdam on March 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Guisseppe and Pasqualina Bocchiccio Parlapiano, she was educated in Amsterdam Schools. Following her move to Scotia many years ago, Gloria was employed as office manager for Scotia Motors for thirty years before she retired in 1991. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church of Scotia.
She was the widow of Robert D. Coager.
Gloria leaves her children; son Robert J. Coager (Penny Cole) of Scotia, daughter Kimberly (Daniel) Madden of Saratoga Springs; sisters Mary Frederick, Eleanor Parlapiano and Joanne Parlapiano all of Amsterdam; she was a loving Nana to Amanda Madden of New Hampshire and Kaci Madden of Saratoga Springs; nieces, grandnephews and cousins survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass Of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:15 am at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John Street, Amsterdam. Fr. Lawrence J. Decker, celebrant. Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Michael's Cemetery. There are no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wesley Nursing Home in care of the funeral home office. Gloria's family is most grateful to the staff at Wesley especially 4 Springs for their care and concern. Her family has entrusted her care to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam 12010.

Robert P. Lemiszki, Jr.
Born in Amsterdam, New York on Apr. 13, 1985
At Rest Sep. 16, 2011 and resided in Fultonville, NY.

Robert P. Lemiszki Jr., 26, formerly of Fultonville, New York passed away Friday in Havelock, NC.

Born April 13, 1985 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Linda Bradford Lemiszki and Robert P. Lemiszki, Sr.. He was a graduate of Fonda Fultonville High School class of 2003. During high school Robert was member of The Boy Scouts of America, Troup 42 in Fonda and achieved membership in the Order of the Arrow.

Shortly after his high school graduation, Robert joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was assigned to the 3rd Battalion of the 11th Marine Corps. He served three deployments during his military career, the first was at Camp Rumadi (AKA Junction City), Ar Rumadi, Iraq from February 2004 to September 2004 and the second with the 3rd Battalion 12th Marines, Camp Hasen in Japan from July 2005 to January 2006 and the third was at the Al Asad Airbase, Al Anbar, Iraq from January 2009 to November 2009. He was known by his military name Ski. Robert received several decorations and medals, including Combat Action Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with 1 Service Star, Navy Sea Service Deployment Medal with 2 Service Stars (3rd award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation. Robert also served as an editor for Wikipedia where he helped in reporting, editing and updating the accuracy of Iraq War as a U.S. Marine on the ground and what he experienced.

He attended Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Tribes Hill, NY.

Robert enjoyed playing video games, writing fiction and loved animals.

On August 26, 2006 he married the former Ashley Susan Ten Eyck. Besides his wife he is survived by his mother, Linda Bradford Lemiszki of Fultonville; his father Robert P. Lemiszki Sr. of Spring Hill, Fl; two brothers, Patrick Lemiszki (Jeannine) of Waterford, NY and Sean Lemiszki (Melodie) of Fultonville; two sisters, Jamie Lemiszki of Amsterdam and Sara Lemiszki of Fultonville; two aunts, Celia Bradford of Amsterdam and Gale Lemiszki Clark (Jay) of Tulsa, Ok; five nephews, Nathaniel, Wilson, Remy, Adam and Kyle.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 23, 2011, at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Third Avenue, Tribes Hill, NY with F. Patrick Gallagher OFM Conv. as celebrant. Burial will take place at the Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville with military honors. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, 1 Marcus Boulevard, Suite 105, Albany, NY 12205.
