Thomas Wojciechowski
Thomas A. "Wojo" Wojciechowski, 81, of Sebastian, Fla., died unexpectedly on Sept. 20 at his residence.
He was born on March 7, 1920, in Amsterdam, N.Y., and moved to Sebastian in 1982 from Johnstown, N.Y. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Force.
Mr. Wojciechowski owned and operated Tom's Electric Service in Johnstown for 31 years.
He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a member of the Polish American Club, both in Sebastian; a lifetime member and a third-degree knight with the Knights of Columbus; a member and past president of American Legion in Johnstown; a county commander of the Fulton County American Legion; a past president of the Fulton County Electrical Association; a member and director of the Sebastian Men's Golf Association; organizer of the Sebastian Monday Golf League; and he was honored as Man of the Year in 1994 by the Sebastian Men's Golf Association.
Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Adelaide "Addie" Wojciechowski of Sebastian; a son, Thomas J. Wojciechowski and wife, Nancy, of Gloversville, N.Y.; daughter, Louise Muller and husband, Michael, of Sebastian; grandchildren Michael, Mark, Christine Muller, Matthew and Nicole Wojciechowski; great-grandson Jeffree Muller; sisters Jennie Koshak, Bernice Collins, both of Amsterdam, Clara Tomlinson and Irene Green, both of Johnstown.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian. Military honors will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel by American Legion Post 189, VFW Post 10210, and PLAV Post 210, all of Sebastian. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. The Rev. John Morrissey will be celebrant. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the St. Sebastian Catholic Church Building Fund, PO Box 781212, Sebastian, FL in memory of Mr. Wojciechowski.

Freda F. Braender
Freda F. Braender, 59, of Avenue C, Ormond Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Halifax Medical Center, Dayton Beach, Fla.
She was born in Gloversville and moved from Amsterdam to Ormond Beach in 1985. She was a retired certified nurse's assistant.
She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Ormond Beach.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Karl Braender; son, Sean Braender of Schenectady; stepsons, Karl Braender Jr. and Kevin Braender, both of Amsterdam; daughters, Doreen Braender of Schenectady and Karleen Braender of Ormond Beach; stepdaughter, Sarah Braender of Amsterdam; her mother, Dorcas Stutzke of Floral City, Fla.; brother, Jimmy Frederick of Florida; sisters, Mary Mills of Newburgh, N.Y. and Joanne Uhlinger of Broadalbin; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Audrey J. Curtis
Mrs. Audrey J. Curtis, 66, of South Main Street, Gloversville, died Monday, Sept. 24, at Nathan Littauer Hospital following a long illness.
She was born on May 4, 1935 in Johnstown, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Stupovsky Zajicek.
Mrs. Curtis was a member of the Johnstown Women of the Moose, Silhouette Card Club, and Court Mayflower of the former Foresters Club.
She was employed with the New York State Division for Youth until her retirement in 1997. She also operated Curtis Antiques from her home for over 30 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo McMillan of Gloversville and Marsha Blakely of Martha's Vineyard, Mass.; two sons, Martin D. Curtis of Endicott and Matthew Curtis of Gloversville; one brother, Joseph Zajicek of Frederick, Md.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.
On Sept. 4, 1953 she married Martin F. "Chic" Curtis, who died on July 27, 1997.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main St., Johnstown, where funeral services will follow at noon. Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Andrew William Studenic
Mr. Andrew William Studenic, 35, of Prospect Avenue, Gloversville, died Monday at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 1, 1966 in Gloversville. He graduated from Gloversville High School in 1984 and from Skidmore College in 1988.
He then became affiliated with Sunderland Leather Co. Inc. in Gloversville, a family-owned business of which he was vice president at the time of his death.
He was a member Pine Brook Golf Club and The Eccentric Club, both of Gloversville.
He is survived by his parents, William and Dorothea Alvord Studenic; his sister, Leslie J. and her husband, Matthew Smrtic, and his maternal grandmother, Dorothea Alvord, all of Gloversville; his paternal grandmother, Ethelyn Shepard of Stuart, Fla.; his niece, Andrea Smrtic, and nephew, Matthew Smrtic. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Mark and Patricia Coloney, George and Mary Ann Gargiulo, Grayson and Linda Drexel, and Graham and Cynthia Lewis, as well as several cousins. Andrew was predeceased by his brother, Alfred H. Studenic, in 1991.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home Inc., 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 73 N. Main St., Gloversville, NY 12078. A private funeral service will take place Thursday at the convenience of the family. The Rev. R.W. Williams will officiate.

Price D. Baldwin
Price D. Baldwin, 55, of Gloversville, died earlier today at his residence after a long illness.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1945 in Gloversville, the son of Donald and Ruth Wood Baldwin. He attended Gloversville and Mayfield schools and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Baldwin served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was employed at Wood & Hyde Leather Co., Gloversville, as a leather worker for five years. He later was employed as a repairman at Duross Bros., Fonda, for six years and Alida's Appliance store, Gloversville, for three years. He retired in 1992 from Washburn Dairy where he was employed as a truck driver.
He was a member of the Johnstown Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his father, Donald Baldwin of Gloversville; his wife, Doris Wilder Baldwin, whom he married on Aug. 12, 1967; one daughter, Stefanie Veeder of Gloversville; one brother, Daryl Baldwin of Gloversville; three beloved grandchildren, Megan, Lacie and Donald Veeder; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hollenbeck Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. R.W. Williams, Mountain Valley Hospice chaplain, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or National Kidney Foundation.
Mary H. Lamb
Mrs. Mary H. Lamb, 95, formerly of Schenectady, died Monday, Sept. 3, at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1906 in Troy, the daughter of Frank and Augusta Sydow Hayes.
Mrs. Lamb was a homemaker.
Survivors include three granddaughters, Ronna Fisher of Fonda, Deborah Van Derveer of Florida and Sharon Robinson of Northville; one grandson, Bruce Lamb Jr. of Ohio; several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Russell E. Lamb, in 1984; and her son, Bruce Lamb Sr.
There will be no calling hours. Entombment will take place in Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main St., Johnstown. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Marie A. Ruberti
Mrs. Marie A. Ruberti, 86, of Trackside Apartments, Johnstown, who was a teaching assistant for the Gloversville school system, died Tuesday at home.
Mrs. Ruberti was born on Aug. 4, 1915 in Amsterdam and was a 1933 graduate of Amsterdam High School. She had been a Gloversville resident since her marriage. She was a glove worker for the former Mario Papa Glove Co. of Gloversville. She also was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ruberti was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Gloversville.
Survivors include three sons, E. Michael Ruberti of Albany, Gary D. Ruberti of Voorheesville and Richard Ruberti of Gloversville; a daughter, Joanne Dolan of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Martin Picco of Amsterdam; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest J. Ruberti, who she married on Oct. 15, 1938 and who died on Jan. 22, 1982; her parents, Michael and Josephine Canali Picco; and one brother, John Picco of Amsterdam.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at John W. Finocan Funeral Home Inc., 13 Prospect Ave., Gloversville. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church. The Rev. Donald Czelusniak, pastor, will be celebrant. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 73 N.
