Alfred J. Geesler, 85, of 2033 Douglas Avenue, Dunedin, Fla., formerly
of Amsterdam, died Saturday morning at the Mease Hospital in Dunedin after
a long illness.
Born Jan. 6, 1912, in Fort Johnson, he was the son of Theron and Louise
Minch Geesler. He resided in Amsterdam until 1969, when he moved to Dunedin.
He was the owner and operator of Geesler's Jewelers in Amsterdam and
Dunedin, retiring in 1976.
Mr. Geesler was a member of the former Emmanual Presbyterian Church
of Amsterdam.
He married he former Pearl Hughes on Oct. 19, 1935.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Robert W. Geesler
of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; a sister, Wavel E. Green of Fort Johnson; and
two granddaughters.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the
family in the spring. The interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Tribes
Hill.
There will be no calling hours.

Margaret Jameson
Margaret Jameson, 87, of 139 Woods Hollow Road, Gloversville, died Wednesday
at the Fulton County Infirmary after a long illness.
Born June 29, 1909 in Gloversville, she was the daughter of Frank and
Harriet Goodemote Allen.
She resided in Schenectady until 1962 and Sarasota, Fla., until April
of 1996, when she moved to Mayfield and then to Johnstown.
Mrs. Jameson attended Knot Terrace School in Schenectady and the Ellis
School of Nursing Class of 1930, where she earned her registered nursing
degree. She was employed as a registered nurse with the American Red Cross
in Schenectady. She retired in 1973.
Mrs. Jameson was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Schenectady.
She married Carlton G. Jameson on June 14, 1930.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Gary O. Jameson
of Saratoga Springs; two daughters, Nancy France of Gloversville, and Terry
Ayala of Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Church of Christ, Route
67, Johnstown, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Cremation will take place at Parkview
Crematory in Schenectady.
Arrangements are by Jeffords Chapel, Broadalbin.

Mary Hutchison
Miss Mary Hutchison, 89, of the Sarah Jane Sanford Home, Guy Park Avenue,
Amsterdam, died Thursday afternoon at the Amsterdam Memorial Hospital,
after a short illness.
Born Jan. 30, 1908 in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of John and Mary
Anderson Hutchison and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of the Ellis Gurney School of Floral Design in Boston.
Miss Hutchison was a florist and a former co-owner with her sister of
Mary & Belle's Floral Shop in Amsterdam. She retired in 1970.
She was a member of Art-Wel Chapter No. 208, Order of the Eastern Star
in Amsterdam. Miss Hutchison was a communicant of the United Presbyterian
Church of Amsterdam.
Survivors include two nephews, Thomas Burrell Jr. of Falls Church, Va.;
and Hugh Hutchison of Amsterdam; six nieces, Phyllis Parry of Tribes Hill,
Barbara Campbell of New London, N.H.; Catherine Boswell of Amsterdam; Mary
Brooker of Broadalbin; and Alma Mary Phillips of Pattersonville; and several
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Betz Funeral
Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, with the Rev. Dan J. Wheeler officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or the United Presbyterian
Church in care of the funeral home.
Charles Mc Clary
Charles M.B. McClary, 68, of Brandt Place, Amsterdam, died Sunday afternoon
at home following an illness.
Born March 23, 1928 in Gloversville, he was the son of Charles and Minnie
Barclay McClary.
Mr. McClary was educated in the Gloversville school system.
He was self-employed as a tree surgeon until retiring 15 years ago.
He was a veteran of the armed forces, and served with the U.S. Coast
Guard and the U.S. Army until being honorably discharged.
Mr. McClary was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of John J. Wyszomirski American Legion Post 701 of Amsterdam,
Veterans of Foreign Wars 2007 of Gloversville and the Disabled American
Veterans in Johnstown.
His first wife, Beverly Petitt McClary, died in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie Severino McClary; three sons, Charles
S. McClary of Gloversville; Steven R. McClary of Glens Falls; and Lloyd
M. McClary of Amsterdam; three daughters, Bonita Kowalski of Fort Hunter;
Charlene Winnie of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Shirley McClary of Little Falls;
five stepchildren, Charles Baker, Richard Baker and Frederick Callafello,
all of Amsterdam; Debbie Baker and Michelle Hemstreet, both of Ballston
Spa; two sisters, Lillian Randall of Gloversville and Esther Arminio of
Fultonville; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Mr. McClary was predeceased by a son, Richard M. McClary, two brothers,
and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Riley
Mortuary Inc., 110 Division St., Amsterdam. The Rev. Raymond Barnett, pastor
of Calvary Assembly of God Church, will officiate. Interment will be in
Mayfield Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Anna Funaro
Mrs. Anna Mai Funaro, 85, formerly of 54 Church St., Amsterdam,died
Saturday afternoon at the Montgomery Meadows Residential Health Care Facility.
Born June 3, 1911 in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Anthony
and Mary Napolitano De Carlo. She moved to New York City at the age of
19 and also resided in Brooklyn and Oceanside.
For several years she also resided in California before she moved to
Amsterdam in 1989.
Mrs. Funaro was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.
She was married to Anthony J. Funaro. He died Dec. 18, 1981.
Mrs. Funaro is survived by three daughters, Mary Webb of Newbury Park,
Calif., Diana Funaro of Los Angeles, Calif. and Frances Sigurdsson of Broadalbin;
two brothers, Frank De Carlo of West Sayville and Joseph De Carlo of Trumbull,
Conn., and one sister, Rose Bollino of Brooklyn; six grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. Monday at
St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
There will be no calling hours.

Lillian Reinhart
Mrs. Lillian K. Reinhart, 78, of the Glendale Nursing Home, formerly
of Fort Plain, died Saturday at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady after
a long illness.
Born April 4, 1918 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Richard Fust
and Bertha Shoemaker.
She was a 1935 graduate of Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn.
Mrs. Reinhart was a homemaker.
She lived in Schenectady for the last 11 years before moving to Fort
Plain.
She married John J. Reinhart on Sept. 19, 1942 in Brooklyn. He died
Jan. 21, 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Cola R. Reinhart of Los Angeles, Calif.
and Richard L. Reinhart of Schenectady; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be conducted in the spring in Fort Plain
Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Dingman will officiate.
Spring burial will be in Fort Plain cemetery.
There are no calling hours.

Anne Ullman
Mrs. Anne M. Ullman, 94, of the Jay Ridge Apartments, Cobleskill, died
Saturday at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County after a long illness.
Mrs. Ullman was born in Castleton and had resided in Cobleskill for
the last 10 years.
A former resident of Delanson, she had once operated the Oak Hill Tavern.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Ullman, whom she married June
9, 1963; a sister, Jeanette Corcoran of Albany, and two grandsons.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Mereness-Putnam
Funeral Home, 68 Elm St. Burial will follow in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.

Katherine St. Jacques
Katherine M. St. Jacques, 61, of Route 5, Fort Johnson, died early this
morning at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born Nov. 26, 1935 in Margaretville, she was the daughter of Daniel
and Georgianna Mead Jaquish. She was educated in Roxbury Central School,
in Roxbury and was a graduate of Stamford Central School, Stamford.
Mrs. St. Jacques was a private secretary and last was employed as ward
secretary at the Montgomery Meadows.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church.
She married Alvan St. Jacques on Feb. 16, 1957.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one brother, Daniel Jaquish
of Fleischmanns; three sisters, Georgia Howard of Clarksville, Tenn; Patricia
LaFond of Virginia Beach, Va., and Rose Mampreyan of East Quogue.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted St. Mary's Chaurch at a
time to be announced.
There will be no calling or viewing hours.
Burial will take place in Halcottsville Cemetery, Halcotsville.
Arrangements are by the Reilly Mortuary Inc., Amsterdam.
Frank Coombs
C. Frank Coombs, 74, of Galway, died Friday at Nathan Littauer Hospital
in Gloversville.
Born in Newport, Maine, Mr. Coombs was a graduate of the MCI School
in Pittsfield, Maine. He was a resident of Galway since 1979.
He was employed by the Saratoga harness track for 13 years and later
worked as a carpenter for more than 25 years for several construction company
in the Schenectady and Saratoga areas.
Mr. Coombs was a member of the Johnstown Moose Lodge and its Horseshoe
League.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He married Esther Saltsman Coombs on May 2, 1970.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Alan Coombs of
Ballston Spa and Brian Coombs of Scotia; two daughters, Sheila Mullens
and Cindy Coombs; both of Schenectady; a stepdaughter, Linda Kearns of
Broadalbin; six grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, and a step-great-grandson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity
Episcopal Church in Gloversville. A calling period will follow the service
at the Johntown Moose Lodge.
There will be no prior calling hours at the funeral home.

Church or to Mountain Valley Hospice.

Charles Reilly
Charles A. Reilly, 88, of the Wanaque Center, Haskell, N.J., formerly
of Charleston, died Friday.
Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Wayne, N.J. until he moved to Charleston
in 1971. He moved back to Wayne in 1995.
For more than 29 years, Mr. Reilly worked as a custodial engineer at
Public School #132 in the Bronx until his retirement in 1970.
Mr. Reilly was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member
of the American Legion Post #450, Pequannock. He was a member of the AARP
and the Charleston Senior Citizens Club.
He was a former parishioner of St. Cecelia's Roman Catholic Church in
Fonda, and a 3rd and 4th degree Knight of Columbus - Council #209 in Amsterdam.
Survivors include his wife, the former Myrtle Hobbs of Wayne, N.J.;
two sons, Charles D. Reilly of Wayne, N.J. and Adam D. Reilly of Haskell,
N.J.; two daughters, Louise Neurouter of Wayne, N.J., and Eve Anne Renna
of Pequannock; a sister, Loretta Nigro of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; two brothers,
Henry Reilly of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and Adam Edward Reilly of Melville,
Long Island; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Vincent Riggi Sr.
Vincent Thomas Riggi Sr., of 1625 Magnolia Ave., Lady Lake, Fla., died
Feb. 5 at Leesburgh Medical Center, Fla.
Formerly of Ballston Lake, Mr. Riggi was born in Yonkers on April 30,
1916.
He was a member of the Bricklayers Union and the Sons of Italy of Schenectady.
While living in Florida, he became a member of the Orange Blossom Gardens
Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Riggi of Lady Lake, Fla., and three
sons, Ronald A. Riggi of Saratoga Springs, Vincent T. Riggi of Lake George
and Jeffery Riggi of South Glens Falls and nine grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation
Fund.

Ada May Behlen
Ada May Behlen, 94, of 16 Montgomery St., Gloversville, died Sunday
at the Fulton County Infirmary in Gloversville.
Mrs. Behlen was born July 23, 1902 in Gloversville. She resided in Gloversville
all her life, and lived at the Getman Memorial Home for four months before
entering the infirmary in October.
She was educated in Gloversville schools.
Mrs. Behlen was employed as a clerk with the former Martin & Naylor
Co. and the former Argersinger's Department Store in Gloversville. She
retired about 20 years ago.
She was a member of the Fremont Street United Methodist Church, Gloversville
and the Ida McGinnis Senior Citizens Club, Gloversville. She was also a
member of the 55 Plus Senior Citizens of Johnstown and Cayadutta Chapter
No. 166 Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Frank Letson Behlen on June 26, 1926. He died Aug. 26, 1956.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Britt of Queensbury, two sons, Letson
Behlen of St. Cloud, Fla., and Stanley Behlen of Gloversville; 11 grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lois B.
Stanyon, on Jan. 22, 1992.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Walrath
& Bushouer Funeral Home Inc., 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, with the
Rev. Erik L. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Norma McDuffee
Mrs. Norma J. McDuffee, 72, of 145 Cliff St., Canajoharie, died Sunday
evening at the Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge.
Born Aug. 11, 1924 in Tacoma, Wash., she was the daughter of David C.
and Edith Paggeot Turner.
Mrs. McDuffee was a graduate of the Stadium High School in Tacoma, Wash.
She was a lifetime resident of the Seattle-Tacoma area. She has resided
for the past four years in Canajoharie. She was employed by The Boeing
Co., in Seattle, Wash., for six years until retiring in 1986.
Mrs. McDuffee was of the Roman Catholic faith.
She married Donald N. McDuffee Sr. on Jan. 19, 1946.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Donald N. McDuffee
Jr, of Gig Harbor, Wash.; a daughter, Katherine A. MacIntyre of Caroga
Lake; two brothers, Marshall Turner of Tacoma, Wash., David Turner of Castle
Rock, Wash., two sisters, Elizabeth Turner of Tacoma, and Janet Duchnowski
of Federal Way, Wash.; two grandsons, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted in April in Tacoma, Wash.
There will be no calling hours.
Burial of cremains will take place in the Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma,
Wash.

Constance Barna
Constance L. Conover Barna, 40, died Sunday at University Hospital in
Syracuse following a long illness.
Born March 8, 1956 in Gloversville, she was the daughter of Ann L. Morehouse
of Gloversville and Robert R. Conover of Long Lake.
Ms. Barna graduated from Gloversville High School in 1974 and then attended
classes at Syracuse University, where she learned to operate computers
with her eyes only. On March 15, 1991, she was honored with the "Woman
of Courage" award in Syracuse, which was presented by Mayor Thomas Young
and the Syracuse Commission for Women.
In addition to her parents, survivors include three sisters, Melody
Slofsky of Queensbury, Penny Laird of Gloversville and Cindy Morehouse
of Gloversville; her step-mother, Carol Conover of Long Lake, a step-brother,
Chad R. Martin of Long Lake; her step-grandmother, Doris Conover of Broadalbin;
her advocate, Stephanie Walker and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Long Lake
Cemetery, Long Lake, with the Rev. Harold "Bunny" Austin officiating.
Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Brewer Funeral
Home Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

Ruth Collins
Ruth W. Collins, 87, died Feb. 14 in Sarasota, Fla. She was the wife
of Leonard Robert Collins, who predeceased her in 1972.
Mrs. Collins resided in Charleroi for 20 years after which she lived
in Philadelphia, Edinburg, Northville and Sarasota.
She is survived by three children, Barbara C. Singer of Northville,
Dorothy Brenner of Rockville, Md.; and Leonard R. Collins of Valatie; her
brother, Leonard Wurzel of Sands Point, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lottie Tlustachowski
Mrs. Lottie Tlustachowski, 93, of Steele Avenue Extension, Gloversville,
died Monday at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home.
Born and educated in New York City, Mrs. Tlustachowski moved in 1926
to Johnstown, where she lived most of her life.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Martin's Glove Co.
in Johnstown for more than 30 years. She was a sewing machine operator
at the former Jules Garfall Co. in Johnstown, retiring in 1980.
Mrs. Tlustachowski was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church.
She married Martin Tlustachowski on Oct. 17, 1920. He died in 1959.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia Martin and Helen Sena, both of
Gloversville; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Hollenbeck
Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., and at 9:30 a Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church. Spring burial will be
in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnstown.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral
home.

Philip and Sandra Jenne Haas
Funeral services were conducted recently in Ukiah, Calif., for Philip
H., 55 and Sandra Jenne Haas, 53 who were killed at their home on Feb.
6. Their deaths are under investigation.
Mr. Haas was born and raised in Cobleskill. He was a graduate of Cobleskill
High School and served in the Navy. Mr. Haas had several advanced degrees.
He was a volunteer with Project Sanctuary.
Mrs. Haas was a graduate of Ukiah High School. The couple managed property
for Gulick Properties.
They are survived by a son, Bryan Haas of Ukiah; and two daughters,
Heidi Dunham of Ukiah and Sheryl McKeever of Marysville.
Mrs. Haas is survived by her mother, Annie Marie Jenne of Ukiah; and
her sister, Peggy Ann Ward of Ukiah.
Mr. Haas is survived by a brother, Henry Haas of Amsterdam; and a sister,
Jill Sammon of Palm Bay, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or Project
Sanctuary.
