Brunswick - Marlene J. Bulson Phillips, 62, of Farm To Market Road, died
Friday, March 30, 2001, at her residence after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Paul Bulson and Wilma Rifenburg
Bulson Littlefield and wife of the late Kenneth E. Phillips. She was a lifelong
resident of Brunswick and was educated at Troy schools.
Mrs. Phillips was a waitress for several years for area restaurants and was a
grandchild sitter for many years.
She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Speigletown and many years
ago was active in Brunswick Pop Warner, Little League, Babe Ruth and Blue
Birds.
Survivors include four daughters Janis Coonradt of Gainesville, FL, Kim M.
Erickson of Melrose, Kelly R. Phillips and Dana M. Cerrone both of Brunswick;
four sons Paul K. Phillips, Ernest D. Phillips, Jerry S. Phillips and Mark K.
Phillips all of Brunswick; two sisters and two brothers Sandra Bulson Brown of
Pittstown, Ellery Bulson of Gainesville, FL, Harold Bulson of Pittstown and Debra
Munger of Rensselaer; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces,
nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son Kenneth R. Phillips.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00am from Faith Lutheran Church
Leversee Road Speigletown with Rev. Stephen L. Cordes, Pastor, officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. corner of Pawling
at Maple Avenues Troy on Sunday from 4-8PM.
Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery in Eagle Mills.

Joseph R. Millington, 74
Averill Park Joseph R. Millington, 74, of Harvey Way, died Wednesday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a long illness.
Born in South Troy, he was son of the late William and Emma Mead Millington and husband of the late Shirley A. Nichols Millington. They had celebrated there 50th wedding anniversary just prior to his wife's death in 2001. He had resided in Troy, Watervliet and Averill Park areas all his life and attended La Salle Institute and graduated from Watervliet High School.
Mr. Millington was a carpet designer for Lektro Kleen and later American Flooring Specialists Inc. in Colonie from which he retired in December of 2002 after over 45 years.
He was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks, the Knights of Columbus, East Side Seniors and a lifetime member of the Mountainview Fire Company. He was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Cingranelli (Richard) of Latham; a daughter-in-law, Mary Karen Millington of Colonie; a sister, Joan Casey (John) of Seattle, WA; a brother-in-law James Nichols (Dorothy) of Averill Park; a grandson; several granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Michael W. Millington; a brother Francis Millington and three sisters Adrian Tuffy, Regina Millington and Margaret Rowland.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 8:45am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy and at 9:30am from St. Henry's Church in Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.

Donald T. Monahan, 70
Troy Donald T. Monahan, 70, of Heritage House Nursing Center, died Wednesday
at St. Mary's Hospital Troy after a long illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Joseph W. and Mary F. Brown Monahan and
husband of the late Dawn Snyder Monahan. He had resided in Troy all his life and
attended Troy High School.
Mr. Monahan was a lineman and material handler for Niagara Mohawk for 36
years, retiring in 1989.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.
Survivors include two daughters Shawn Monahan of Cohoes and Ellen Monahan of
Charlotte, NC; a brother Joseph W. Monahan Jr. of Troy; two sisters Anne Reinisch
of Chandler, AZ and M. Eileen Christopher of Clifton Park and several nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers John and Edward Monahan.
Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no
calling hours. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.

Beverly K. Dehar
WYNANTSKILL - Beverly K. Dehar, 72, of St. Jude’s Senior Apartments, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn after a lengthy illness.
Born and educated in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Violet Cole Fullerton.
She lived in Connecticut for 40 years, where she worked as a job placement coach and raised her family. For the last two years, Beverly resided in Wynantskill.
Beverly was a gourmet cook, an avid gardener with a wonderful sense of humor and had a great love for animals.
Survivors include her four daughters, Cheryl (Herman) Pulcher of Troy, Suzanne (William) Dehar Carter of Troy, Christine (Frances Zaia) Dehar of Amesbury, MA, and Jennifer (William) Kenny of Fairfield, CT; six grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Warren of Oregon and Judy Waltz of Florida; and two brothers, Dennis and Gordon Fullerton, both of Michigan.
A memorial service will be held in Connecticut at the convenience of the family.

Edward ‘Gary’ Farrell
WATERFORD - Edward ‘Gary’ Farrell, 72, of Vanderwerken Avenue, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Estelle Lewchanin Farrell.
He was a graduate of Troy High School.
Gary had been employed for over 20 years at GE Silicones in Waterford and retired in 1998. Prior to that he was employed at the Norton Co. in Watervliet.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Veterans of Lansingburgh and the Waterford Knights of Columbus Council 237.
He enjoyed fishing, going to the Racino and the Saratoga flat track.
Proud of his Irish heritage, he loved to recount his trip to Ireland.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Bechand Farrell; his children Colleen M. Farrell (Mark Juliano) of East Greenbush and Darren G. Farrell (Lorraine) of Mechanicville. He was the brother of Bernard Farrell of Watervliet, Mary Humphrey of Wynantskill, John Farrell of Watervliet, Arlene Hug of Latham, Gregory Farrell of Pleasantdale, Kevin Farrell of Connecticut, Kathleen Hawkins of Albany and the late Michael Farrell. Also surviving are his grandchildren, who were the love of his life, Bryan and Kevin Farrell; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Route 32) in Waterford, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waterford.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5-8 p.m.

TROY - John G. Fatone, 77, of Pawling Avenue, died Monday at Samaritan Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. from the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Ave. in Troy, and at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Troy. J. Joseph Murphy
PLATTSBURGH - J. Joseph Murphy, 86, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
Born in Troy on February 3, 1922, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Margaret G. Smith Murphy.
Mr. Murphy resided, for most of his life, in Troy and later in Watervliet. In retirement, he made his home at Glass Lake and then on Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh.
He was a graduate of La Salle Institute and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, both in Troy, and Fordham Law School in New York City.
Mr. Murphy was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the Army Horse Cavalry from 1943-1947 in New Caledonia and in the South Pacific.
An attorney, his career began with the Ainsworth & Sullivan Law Firm in Albany and later he joined the Connolly & Mirch Law Firm in Troy, where he became a partner.
He served as a clerk for the state Supreme Court while with the Troy firm and served parttime in the corporation counsel’s office in Troy.
Mr. Murphy also was employed as a state assistant attorney general under Attorney General Louis Lefkowitz. He represented the state in construction cases involving the South Mall project and handled various other litigation cases throughout the state. He retired from the state in 1980 and continued in private practice in Watervliet. He also was affiliated with McClung, Peters and Simon in Albany during his retirement years.
He was a former member and deacon of the Jermain Memorial Presbyterian Church in Watervliet. While there, he served on the Board of the Albany Presbytery. He was more recently a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsburgh. Mr. Murphy was also a member of the Clinton County Senior Citizens.
He will long be remembered for his welcoming spirit, which was always extended to anyone who visited his camp and later, his home on Glass Lake. Many will recall the days of fishing, lakeside gatherings and player- piano serenades that took place on Glass Lake. Joe’s kindness and generosity will always be remembered.
He is survived by his wife Virginia M. Murphy, to whom he was married in 1976; a step-daughter, Linda B. (Hutchinson) Leidner, her husband Scott and their son Brett; a son, John Murphy and his three daughters, Megan, Annie and Sara; and a daughter, Nora Ancona and her son John. Also survived by several nephews and a niece.
The funeral service will be at the Bowen Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road in Latham, on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service, from noon until 1 p.m.
