Colonie - William P. Halpin, 61, of Carol Ann Drive, died Saturday at St. Peter's Hospital Albany, after a long illness.
Born in Watervliet, he was son of the late James J. and Catherine Connair Halpin and husband of the late Sandra Shannon Halpin. He had resided in Watervliet for many years and Colonie for the past 28 years and was a graduate of Watervliet High School and Siena College class of 1970.
Mr. Halpin was manager of traffic and transportation for Allied Signal- Bendix Brake Division in Green Island for 23 years retiring in 1993.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet and a member of Delta Nu Alpha and the Bendix Management Club.
Survivors include a brother James J. Halpin Jr. and his wife Jean of Troy; a sister Marge Hyde of Watervliet and several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother John F. 'Bucko' Halpin.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 8:30am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues Troy and at 9:00am from Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8pm.
Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.

Jane Betty Simpson Holdridge, 74
Rensselaer - Jane Betty Simpson Holdridge, 74, died Friday at Samaritan Hospital Troy after a long illness.
Born in Coxsackie, NY she was daughter of the late Clyde and Beatrice Hoose Simpson and wife of the late Roger H. Holdridge. She had resided in Catskill most of her life and this past summer moved to this area to be with her daughter.
Mrs. Holdridge was employed as manager of the bufeteria at Montgomery Ward in Menands many years ago and later worked with her mother in Bea's Diner on Route 9 in Schodack. She was a homemaker for many years.
Survivors include her daughter Doris Goggins and husband William; three sisters Sally Peloubet of Bluefield, WV, Daryl Williams and husband Fran of West Coxsackie and Norma Reaser and husband David of Carolina; two brothers William and Jack Wernig; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son David Roger Holdridge and a brother Clyde Simpson Jr.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00am from the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham, Pastor Emeritus of Christ Church United Methodist, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
Interment Tuesday at 10am in Jefferson Rural Cemetery in Catskill.

E. Clayton Hopkins, 86
Lansingburgh - E. Clayton Hopkins, 86, of Harris Road Lansingburgh, died Monday January 14, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital Troy, after a brief illness.
Born in Brewster, NY he was son of the late Ernest and Sarah Hazen Hopkins and husband of the late Elizabeth Schutz Hopkins. Upon his retirement in 1978, he moved to North Port, Florida, returning to this area in 1996. He was educated at Brewster High School and Gaines Business School in New York City.
Mr. Hopkins was employed at New York Central Railroad in the Pension Department for 14 years. Later he worked for New York State in the Journal Clerk's office for 23 years, retiring in 1978.
Clayton's hobbies included research into the genealogy of the Hopkins family, leather work, counter cross stitch, oil painting, swimming, cycling and biking. He was a church organist for sixty years and most recently attended the Brunswick Church in Brunswick.
Survivors include a daughter Phyllis E. Michael and husband Rod of Cropseyville; a son Thomas C. Hopkins of Chatham; a sister Carrie O'Hern of Arizona; five grandchildren Tracey Hopkins, Christopher Michael, Stacey Kratt, Todd Hopkins and Jeffrey Michael; two great granddaughters Sadie and Anna Kratt and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at Brunswick Church, White Church Lane Brunswick with Rev. Kate Kotfila, Pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church Saturday from 1-2pm prior to the service. Interment in Carmel, NY.

Thomas R. Horton, 70
Troy - Thomas R. Horton, 70, of Heyden Road, died Wednesday December 26, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital Troy, after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Thomas R. Horton Sr. and Mary Purcell Horton and husband for 46 years of Patricia A. Hennessey Horton. He had resided in Troy area all his life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School.
Mr. Horton was employed at the Watervliet Arsenal for 43 years beginning as a Bin Warehouseman and retiring in 1994 as Director of Product Assurance and Testing.
He was former Vice President, Recruitment Director and Executive Board Member of the Federal Managers Association, Chapter 88. His management skills were honed by the State University of New York, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of Tennessee. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy; a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Troy Lodge of Elks and a Navy veteran of Korean War.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter Debra A. Koumjian and husband James of Troy; three grandchildren Josh, Kurt and Tyler Koumjian all of Troy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth West and a brother John P. Horton.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy and at 9:30am from Sacred Heart Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Harold S. Folmsbee, 85
Center Brunswick Harold S. Folmsbee, 85, of Betts Road, died suddenly Friday at his residence.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Charles and Rosella Kasey Folmsbee and husband for 65 years of Margaret Kelly Folmsbee. He had resided in Brunswick most of his life and was educated at the Little Red Schoolhouse in Tamarac.
Mr. Folmsbee was a machine operator for Behr-Manning and later Norton Company in Watervliet for over 20 years retiring in 1976. Prior to that he worked for Tobin Packing. He was also an ordained minister and licensed locksmith. He attended the New Life Assembly of God Church in East Greenbush and served as a Deacon in the First Assembly of God Church. He was a member of the Paper Makers Union and an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons Paul E. Folmsbee of Pittstown and Roger S. Folmsbee of Wynantskill; a daughter Joan Wilcox of Vero Beach, FL; two sisters Evelyn Rafun and Hazel Weeden both of Troy; a brother Everett Kneer of Troy; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Harold R. Folmsbee.

Cohoes - George Emanatian, 92, of Central Avenue, died Friday at the Eddy-Ford
Nursing Home Cohoes after a brief illness.
Born in Racine, WI, he was son of the late Jacob and Mabel Azadian Emanatian
and husband of Alice Shinorokian Emanatian.
Mr. Emanatian owned and operated Emanatian Brothers Fuel Company with his
brother late Richard, in Cohoes, retiring 14 years ago.
He was a member of the Eagles Club, the Moose Lodge, the Cohoes Rod and Gun
Club and the United Armenian Calvary Congregational Church in Troy.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son David Emanatian of Cohoes; three
daughters Helena Madison and her husband John of Elmira, Carolyn Emanatian of
Cohoes and Dianne Dirig and her husband Rodney of Wells Bridge, NY; 7
grandchildren, Maureen, Melissa, Mark and Alan Madison, Dan Watson and
David and Adam Dirig and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by four
brothers Richard, Tony, Harry and Andy Emanatian and a sister Grace Azadian.
