Dorothy Schaudt
COHOES — Dorothy Schaudt, 92, of West Columbia Street, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center in Cohoes after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Richard F. Bolster and Metta Trumble Bolster Monahan and wife of the late John G. Schaudt. She had resided on Robin Lane in Brunswick for many years.
Mrs. Schaudt was employed for 12 years at New York Telephone as an operator and engineering clerk, construction supervisor’s clerk for 5 years in Albany and for 20 years as a secretary for Brittonkill Elementary School, retiring 27 years ago.
She was a member of Civil Service Employees Association, New York Telephone Pioneers, Brunswick Seniors and volunteered at Garfield Reading Center in Poestenkill.
Survivors include a son, John G. (Petra) Schaudt of Stephentown; four grandchildren, Frank Schaudt of Cohoes, Manuela Schaudt of Bronx, Melissa Schaudt of Stephentown and Mark Schaudt of Latham; two great grandchildren, Trevor and Dohnovon Schaudt; and a niece, Dorothy A. Ryan of Troy.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Ave., Troy.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy Schaudt to the Salvation Army, Troy Corps, 410 River St., Troy, NY 12180.

Ann Winters
BRUNSWICK — Ann P. Centanni Winters, 63, of Brunswick, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Albany Memorial Hospital. Memorial service Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Raymertown. Calling at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Ave., Troy, on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Contributions to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Geraldine Fagan
TROY — Geraldine A. Fagan, 85, a long-time Frear Park resident, died Oct. 23, surrounded by her loving family, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a short illness. She was the widow of the late Thomas D. Fagan to whom she was married almost 50 years.
Born and raised on the Francis Street “Hill” in South Troy, she was the daughter of the late Francis P. and Helen Walsh Fitzgerald. She was a member of the Catholic Central High School Class of 1942 and briefly worked for the Behr Manning Company before meeting her husband and beginning her family.
She was a long-time member if the CCHS Alumni Association and a long-time member and 27-year volunteer with the St.Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, and a faithful communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church.
Her primary and sole occupation, however, was her devotion to her family. She loved spending summers at the family camp at Reichard’s Lake which was a family tradition. There was always a party, cookout, and a steady stream of guests. She was a woman of style, elegance, dignity, constant good humor and unfailing faith.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a faithful friend. She was an encouraging, caring and compassionate “Grammy” to all her grandchildren: Kerry, Joseph, Neil, Sean, Katie, Dean, Brendan, and Gavin Fagan. .She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She was predeceased by her husband; her brothers, Francis P. Fitzgerald Jr., Richard Fitzgerald, Robert Fitzgerald; and her sister, Marie Gusty.
She is survived by her children, Thomas J. (Ellie) Fagan, William F. (Rosemary) Fagan, Paul R. Fagan, Donna M. Fagan, all of Troy and Sean P (Jean O’Neil) Fagan of Vancouver, WA; brother-in-law, John G. Fagan, of Lawrence, MA; sister-in-law, Jo Fagan of Troy; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Geraldine’s memory can be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.

Catherine Gerighty
STILLWATER — Catherine G. Gerighty 91 of Stillwater passed into eternal life on Tuesday morning at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush.
Born in Troy, Catherine was the daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine McInnery Gerighty.
Catherine retired after 42 years as a supervisor with the state income tax unit of the state Tax and Finance Department. She graduated from Albany Business College. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Catherine was pre-deceased by her two brothers John and Edward Gerighty. She is survived by her nephew Patrick Gerighty his wife Elizabeth and their son Kevin Gerighty, their daughter, Donna Mulvey, and Matthew Breslin a great great nephew as well as other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
At Catherine’s request her funeral services were private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangement by the Bocketti Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy, NY.

Jennie Green
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Mrs. Jennie Pauline Soleri Green, 92, of Huntersville, NC, formerly of Troy, died Thursday, October 22, 2009, at the Summitt.
Born July 2, 1917, in West Rutland, VT, she was a 1935 graduate of Mt. St Joseph in Vermont and retired from WTC Air Freight.
She is survived by her son, James Woods (Natalie); daughters, Judy Sanderson, Lorene Savoy; sister Florence Perfetti Dellorto; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Benilde Soleri, husbands, William Ray Woods and Celestine Green; brother, Clement Perfetti;and sisters, Lillian Valente and Carmen Cohen. Arrangements by Raymer Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC.

InPae ‘Kim’ Haughton
SARATOGA SPRINGS — InPae “Kim” Haughton, formerly of Troy, passed away at Saratoga Hospital with her loving family by her side, on June 16, 2009, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 70.
Born in Seoul, Korea, on March 15, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Kim Yong Duk and Shin Jin Jin and sister of the late YongPae Kim, all of Seoul Korea.
She came to the United States in 1969 where she married then divorced John C. “Jack” Haughton.
InPae attended Hudson Valley Community College and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Albany. She was a member of the Korean Association.
She loved spending every moment possible with her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing and shopping. InPae was beautiful, wise and full of energy. She had a great giving heart and anyone who met her never forgot her! InPae came to this country with nothing, but left with everything!
Survivors include her son, Robert Haughton (Amy Morine); her daughter Kimberly Lahut (Haughton); her grandchildren, John J Lahut III, Derek R. Lahut, and Nicholas B. Lahut, Robert J. Haughton, Adison E. Haughton and Dionna L.Soto all of Saratoga Springs; her fiancwe, Amato “Marty” Nardella, also of Saratoga Springs; four sisters BoPae Kim, JungPae Kim, Inok Kim, and Insook Kim, all of California; one brother, SungPae Kim of Seoul Korea; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2009, at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Avenue.
Donations in InPae’s memory may be made to the Pan Can Association, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 70000, El Segundo, CA 90245.
Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke& Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway (584-5373).

Joan Houlihan
TROY — Joan Legnard Houlihan, 85, of Fifth Avenue, died Thursday, October 22, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born in Green Island, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. Legnard and Catherine F. Denny Legnard and wife of the late Victor J. Houlihan who died September 23, 1994.
Raised in Green Island, Joan moved to Troy in 1948, she was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1941.
She served her country during World War II as a Wave with the United States Navy. Mrs. Houlihan worked for the state Department of Audit and Control as a principal account clerk for 17 years, retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of the former St. Peter’s Church in Troy.
Survivors include four children, Michael P. Houlihan (Sharyn) of Albany, Kathleen A. Houlihan of Troy, Mark J. Houlihan (Laurie) of Schaghticoke, Joan B. Shevlin (Larry) of Troy: six grandchildren, Michael P. (Jennifer) Houlihan, Brian M. Houlihan (Kristi Monington) all of Colonie, Tiffany L. Houlihan (Elaine Hennessey) of Watervliet, Ryan T. Houlihan of Troy, Katie L. Houlihan (Jamie Capron) of Clifton Park, Cory Houlihan of Schaghticoke; four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Keira, Matthew and Amelia Houlihan; a brother, Frank J. Legnard of Westmere;, a sister Kathleen Purcell of Cooperstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by four brothers, William, John, Edward and Robert Legnard, and a sister Alice Smith.
The family wishes to thank Rensselaer County Hospice for the special care given to Joan.
Funeral services will be Monday 9:15 a.m. from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh, and 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Green Island, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Troy.
Calling hours will be Sunday 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations to Rensselaer County Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northeastern New York Chapter, 423A New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 would be greatly appreciated.
