Michael DeMondo Jr., a self-employed carpenter, died on Tuesday January 16, 2007 in White Lake. He was 30.
Michael was the son of Michael Demondo Sr. and Kathleen Atwater DeMondo and was born on January 27, 1976 in Huntington.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Kathleen DeMondo Sr. at home; his paternal grandfather, Michael L. DeMondo and his wife Doris of Port St. Lucie, FL; three sisters, Kassandra DeMondo, Kaylynn DeMondo and Kelsey DeMondo, all of White Lake; and lifetime brothers, Anthony DeMondo and Cory Moore.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 22 at the Reformed Presbyterian Church, White Lake.
Burial was made in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd., Liberty. Funeral arrangements are by Ramsay's Funeral Homes Inc., Kauneonga Lake.
Helen Goddard Grant
Artist, 91
Helen Elizabeth Goddard Grant, daughter of the late Frank and Lois Goddard, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007, in Chandler, Ariz. She was 91.
She was born in Manville, Ill. and moved to Parma, Idaho, where she graduated from Parma High School in 1933. Her family then returned to Manville, Ill. She attended Brown's Business College and for a time worked in the office of Dr. E.G. Barton in Streator, Ill.
She married William Lloyd Sheibley, who passed away in 1945. She then was married to William Grant in 1946 and lived in the Streator, Ill. area, where she and her husband owned and operated J-G Vending Service until 1989, when they moved to Arizona.
She was an artist and enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing and watching sports on television.
Survivors include daughters, Christine (Steve) Bergner of Neversink and Mary (David) Lentman of Streator, Ill.; a son, David (Jerilyn) Grant of Chandler, Ariz.; a sister, Dorothy Holland of Manville, Ill.; grandchildren, Kenie (Kellie) Rittenhouse, Kevin Rittenhouse, Carrie (Jason) Cianchette, Ross Lentman, Alison Lentman, Douglas Lentman, Melissa Grant and Michael Grant; and a great grandchild, Emma Reimer-Rittenhouse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers in infancy; her first husband; a brother-in-law, Keith Holland; and her second husband, who died in 1997.
She was a member of the Grahamsville United Methodist Church, Grahamsville.
A memorial service will be later at Merrill Gardens in Chandler, Ariz.

Agnes M. Hynes
Former School Employee, 80
Agnes M. Hynes of Woodbourne, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 80.
She was the daughter of James and Emma Whelan Kelly. She was born August 26, 1926 in Fox Harbour, Newfoundland.
She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception and a member of Loch Sheldrake Seniors. She was a former employee of Benjamin Cosor Elementary School in Fallsburg.
She is survived by her son, John Hynes of Woodbourne; her sister, Teresa Sperve of Newfoundland; and several nieces and nephews.
She is the widow of Edward Hynes and is predeceased by her parents.
Visitation was held Friday, January 19, 2007 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne.
A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Donations can be sent to the American Lung Association.
Arrangements were under the direction of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home.
Paul L. Kehrley
Korean War Vet, 69
Paul L. Kehrley of Swan Lake passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 69.
The son of Henry and Neda Hathaway Kehrley, he was born July 22, 1937 in Swan Lake.
Paul was a Korean War veteran; life member of the Woodridge and Mountaindale V.F.W. 6294; past Commander of Sullivan County V.F.W.; Honorary member of Swan Lake Fire Department; and associate member of Woodridge Fire Department.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine Ann Kehrley, and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, and three brothers, Howard, Eugene and Deming Kehrley.
There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, January 27 at 11:30 a.m. in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, followed by a gathering at the Woodridge Fire House for a firematics service from 1 to 5 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Woodridge Fire Department.
Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home.
Sarah “Sue” Finder
Homemaker, 86
Sarah "Sue" Finder, passed away January 18, 2007 in Catskill Regional Medical Center, although Sue's health has been failing she has remained upbeat and fiesty until the very end. She was 86. (Although she would never admit it!)
Sue was a long time resident of Monticello, where she and her late husband, Charles Finder, raised their four children. Sue was involved with so many community activities through the years and she has touched so many lives. One of Sue's favorite hobbies was playing Bingo. When she wasn't able to drive she could always count on one of her Bingo buddies to pick her up and take her.
She is survived by her two devoted sons, Gary and Brian; her daughter-in-law, Teresa; her five grandchildren, Doreen and her husband, Bob, Laurie and her husband, Joe, Charles, Tara and Megan; and her four great-grandchildren, Alisa, Brittany, Paige and Danielle.
Sue was predeceased by her husband, Charles and her two daughters, Patty (2003) and Janice (2005).
Funeral Services were held on Sunday, January 21 in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, Inc., Monticello. Rabbi Michele Medwin officiated.
Burial was made in Temple Sholom Cemetery Monticello.

John Blumfield
Truck Driver, 89
John "Jack" Blumfield of Bloomingburg, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis. He was 89.
He was born March 22, 1917 in Brooklyn, the son of the late John and the late Emily Blumfield. He was the widower of the late Emma Zielinski Blumfield.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
A Family Statement reads, "He was a great father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had a love for anything with motors. He also was a licensed pilot."
He was a self-employed Truck Driver for J. Blumfield Trucking of Rockland County.
Surviving are his son, Robert Blumfield of Bloomingburg; grandson, John Blumfield and his wife, Carol of Milford, Pa.; granddaughters, Bobbie-Jo Tirelli and her husband, Anthony of Goshen and Jackie Blumfield of Bloomingburg; and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

Arthur C. Wagner
Handyman, 80
Arthur Charles Wagner, Sr. of St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Middletown, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 while surrounded by his children after an eight year struggle with Alzheimers. He was 80 yrs. old.
The son of the late Charles and Rose Killie Wagner, he was born on December 19, 1926 in Callicoon.
Dad was a hard working man, nothing came easy, yet he lived life to the fullest. He did many different things throughout his life and especially enjoyed motorcycles, old cars, music, food and never was without a cup of coffee! He always had a joke, could make or fix anything and always helped anyone in need. We are all left with memories that will keep us laughing and talking forever. We were blessed to have him for a father. He was predeceased by his wife and our loving mother, Lorraine; brothers, John and Charles Wagner.
He is survived by his children, Linda Wagner-White, Jennie Hallinan and her husband, William, Jonnie-Sue Kaczmar and her husband, Stanley Jr., Arthur C. Wagner Jr. and his wife, Jean Marie; grandchildren, Derrick, Ryan, Amanda, Alison and Arthur III; great grandchild, Nevaeh Jolin; sisters, Gertrude Tetz and Margaret Myers of Florida; brothers, Barney Wagner of New Jersey and William Wagner of Middletown; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 24 from 3-8 p.m. at Morse Funeral Home Inc., 33 Railroad Ave, Middletown.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, at St Joseph Catholic Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Middletown.

Robert C. Wolff
Ret. Chicken Farmer, 82
Robert C. Wolff, of Barryville, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away, Friday, January 19, 2007 at Ellen Memorial Home, Honesdale, Pa. He was 82.
The son of the late Carl J. and Frieda Kloss Wolff, he was born May 2, 1924 in Barryville. He was the widower of the late Yolanda Foscolo Wolff.
Robert was a retired Chicken Farmer in Barryville. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II; Bob worked as a Machinist at Sidney until he was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II. After serving our country he attended Palmer Chiropractic and graduated from College in Iowa. He later became a chicken farmer, maintaining his own chicken farm in Barryville.
A Family Statement reads, "Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing his vegetables in his garden to have and share with others."
He is survived by two sons, Donald Wolff and his fiance, Gail Henry of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Robert Wolff Jr. of Barryville; two daughters, Elaine Blaut and her husband, Clarence Jr. of Barryville and Dolores Case and her husband, Robert Jr. of Port Jervis; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Wolff and his wife, Margaret of Barryville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Clara White.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis. Charles Myers will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Eldred.
