Olga Pethick of Damascus, Pa., a retired registered nurse and operating room nurse for The Hospital in Sidney, who also had practiced in the former Callicoon Hospital, and a lifelong area resident, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at the Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart, Pa. She was 93 years of age.
The daughter of the late Raymond and Susie Tyler Pethick, she was born July 20, 1907, in Damascus, Pa.
Miss Pethick was the oldest living member of the Damascus United Methodist Church in Damascus, Pa., and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by two nieces, Grace Streagle of Seaford, Va., and Ester Bogert of Muskegon, Minn., as well as several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Damascus, Pa., with the Rev. George Gallandorm officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Damascus Volunteer Ambulance Corps, or the Damascus United Methodist Church, both at Damascus, Pa. 18415.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Ramsussen Sons Funeral Home in Narrowsburg.
Eugenia F. Mullally
Ret. Reg. Nurse, 82
Eugenia F. Mullally, a 10-year resident of Phoenix, Ariz., a former 41-year White Sulphur Springs resident and a retired registered nurse, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in Arizona. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of the late James and Mary Fallon, she was born in Rutherford, N.J.
Mrs. Mullally was a graduate of the Hackensack (N.J.) School of Nursing.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John A. Mullally, at home; four children, Wayne Mullally of Pattaya, Thailand, Kevin Mullally of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Mary Margaret Mullally of Phoenix, Ariz., and Peter Mullally of Waterford, Va.; two sisters, Mary DePan of Gibsonia, Pa., and Lucille Fallon of Woodridge, N.J.; a brother, L. Joseph Fallon of Rutherford, N.J.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was private.
A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.

Edith Y. Irwin
Retired Nurse, 86
Edith Yonker Irwin, a 50-year resident of Selkirk, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001, after a brief illness. She was 86 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frank Michael and Ellen Vernooy Yonker, she was born May 15, 1914, in Woodridge.
A graduate of Woodridge High School and Misericordia School of Nursing in Manhattan, Mrs. Irwin had worked at the former Liberty Hospital and Monticello Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, George Irwin of Selkirk; a son, Frank George Irwin and a granddaughter, Sonya Anne, both of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Kenneth Yonker and his wife, Julia, of Hermitage, Pa.; six nieces and nephews; 10 grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and many loving relatives, friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Marion (Yonker) and Joseph Muscarella.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Babcock Funeral Home in Ravena with the Rev. Richard Chatterton officiating.
Burial will be made in Grove Cemetery in Coeymans at a later date.

Mabel L. Wood, 79
Ret. Machine Operator
Mabel L. Wood of Lookout, Pa., a retired sewing machine operator for the former Callicoon Dress Factory and a longtime area resident, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Scranton, Pa. She was 79 years of age.
The daughter of the late William and Pearl Ferguson James, she was born January 19, 1922, in Port Jervis.
Mrs. Wood was a member of the Ladies Garment Union.
She is survived by her companion of 55 years, Charles Wilcox, at home; a daughter, Viola Robb of Cooley; four sisters, Mildred Olden of Sparrowbush, Nora Vandermark of Port Jervis, Marie Gray of Arizona and Barbara Jean Dugan of the state of Florida; a brother, William James; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday at the Rasmussen Sons Funeral Home in Narrowsburg with the Rev. George Gallandorm officiating.
Interment was made in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Galilee, Pa.

David Oleniewski
Engineer, 53
David L. Oleniewski of Livingston Manor, a former 10-year engineer for National Research Lab in Washington, D.C., died Monday, January 29, 2001, in Livingston Manor. He was 53 years of age.
The son of Cecelia Arcymowciz Oleniewski and the late William Oleniewski, he was born February 23, 1947, in Buffalo.
Mr. Oleniewski was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Sullivan County Chapter of Vietnam Veterans.
He is survived by his mother of Buffalo; his wife, Holly Johanna Drake, at home; a daughter, Kristen Petrillo of Boston, Mass.; and a granddaughter, Eva Petrillo of Boston, Mass.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Shalom Mountain Retreat, 664 Cattail Rd., Livingston Manor, with the Rev. Gerald Jud officiaitng.
Cremation will be made at the Twin Tiers Crematory in Endicott.
Burial of the cremains will be made in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty at a date to be announced.

Clayton G. Young
Erie Maintenance Man, 78
Clarence Young of Livingston Manor, an Erie Railroad maintenance man in Hancock and a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, February 1, 2001, at his home. He was 78 years of age.
The son of the late John and Doris Oestrich Young, he was born September 25, 1922, in Acidalia. He was the widower of Irene M. Young.
He is survived by five sons, Clayton V. Young of Monticello, Arthur L. Young, Dave Young, Steven R. Young and Jasper W. Young, all of Livingston Manor; two daughters, Barbara Young of Liberty and Doris M. Sharp of Newport News, Va.; three sisters, Shirley Young of Texas, Lillian Demming of Ithaca and Madelyn Carpenter of Orland, Pa.; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Russell Young.
Friends may call at the Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dorothy Smith officiating.
Burial will be made in the Orchard Street Cemetery in the spring.

Henry M. Bosch
Ret. U.S. Army, 83
Henry M. Bosch of Highland Lake, a retired Chief Warrant Officer of the U.S. Army and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, January 28, 2001, at his home. He was 83 years of age.
The son of the late Charles W. and Helen Miller Bosch, he was born October 21, 1917, in Highland Lake.
A veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was stationed on Governor's Island. He retired in 1963.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth W. Gunstone Bosch, at home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Sandra Bosch of Highland Lake and Russell and Christine Bosch of Bath; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gerald Rumsey of Yulan; six grandchildren, Brian and Rachel Rumsey and Gregg, Henry, Kyle and Andy Bosch; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Lee and Victoria and Alexandra Rumsey; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home, Route 97, Barryville, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in Montoza Cemetery in Eldred.

Margaret Ruppert
Homemaker, 85
Margaret Ruppert of Kenoza Lake, more recently a resident of Walnut Mountain Care Center in Liberty and a former longtime resident of Fern Manor in Kenoza Lake, died Saturday, January 27, 2001, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 85 years of age.
The daughter of the late Conrad and Anna Kohler Ruppert, she was born June 30, 1915, in Middletown.
While living at Fern Manor and at Walnut Mountain Care Center, Miss Ruppert was a very active member of the resident groups.
She is survived by three brothers, Conrad Ruppert of Yarmouth, Mass., Warren Ruppert of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Arthur Ruppert of Georgetown, Tex.; a sister-in-law, Clara Ruppert of Kenoza Lake; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Ruppert.
There will be no visitation.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville with the Rev. William Hagerty officiating.
Burial will be made in the Kenoza Lake Cemetery in Kenoza Lake.
