Jared T. Kenyon
Lincoln Tech Student, 24

Jared T. Kenyon of Equinunk, Pa. and Easton, Pa. and a student at Lincoln Technical University in Allentown, Pa., died Sunday, May 4, 2008 as a result of injuries in an automobile accident. He was 24.
The son of Timothy and Beth Musso Kenyon, he was born September 22, 1983 in Honesdale, Pa.
Survivors include his parents, Timothy and Beth Musso Kenyon of Equinunk, Pa.; his brother, Timothy Jr.; two sisters, Juliana and Olivia Kenyon all at home; his maternal grandparents, Joan and Pat Musso of Long Eddy; his paternal grandfather, Raymond Kenyon of Equinunk, Pa.; his girlfriend, Diana Joyce of Easton, Pa.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Dolores Kenyon.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 7 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held Thursday, May 8 at the Braman Church, Braman, Pa. at 11 a.m. Pastor Alice Pedone will officiate.
Burial will be made in the Braman Cemetery, Braman, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Joyce A. Fisher
Homemaker, 68

Joyce A. Fisher, a lifetime resident of Narrowsburg, and a homemaker, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at CRMC in Harris. She was 68.
She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Jean Robisch and was born March 23, 1940 in Callicoon.
Survivors include her daughter, Lori Squires and her husband, Kenneth of Narrowsburg; two brothers, James Robisch and his wife, Mary of Beach Lake, Pa. and John Robisch and his wife, Anastacia of Longmont, Colo.; two grandchildren, Kyle and Kenneth Squires; many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Fisher and by her sister, Barbara Robisch.
A memorial service was held on Monday, May 5 at the Hortonville Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Lee Andrews officiated.
Burial was made in the Hortonville Cemetery, Hortonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Wallace Madnick
Proprietor, 81

Wally Madnick a life long resident of Monticello, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was 81.
Wally was born July 3, 1926 in the Monticello Hospital. He was the first baby boy to be born in that new Hospital.
Wally served in the US Navy during WWII. He married his high school sweetheart Pearl Elizabeth Wyde in 1947. He and Pearl owned a family business together, WYDE Lumber Company. Wally was a member of the Monticello Elks Lodge #1545. Wally was an avid golfer and was in the Wednesday League at the Concord Golf Course.
He is survived by his dedicated and loving wife, Pearl Elizabeth Wyde Madnick; his brother, Harris Madnick; his sister, Lenore Weinstein and her husband, Gene; five children, all of Monticello, Sherri Collins and her husband, Jim, Herman Madnick and his wife, Catherine, Alan Madnick and his wife, Jil, Cyndi Madnick Martin, Jesse Madnick and his wife, Susan Buckles Madnick; his thirteen grandchildren, Bryan and Shawn Collins, Noah, Daisy, Harry and Avi Madnick, Sarah and Benjamin Madnick, Jordan, Joshua and Jake Martin, Austin and Brooke Madnick; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday May 5th at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. Monticello. Rabbi M. Medwin officiated.
Burial was made in the Temple Sholom Cemetery South Woods Dr., Monticello.
The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Pearl Madnick in Monticello from Monday thru Wed. evening.

Helen Quinn
Treasury Worker, 90

Helen Elizabeth Chellis Quinn of 2627 Indian Hill Rd, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, May 3, 2008. She was 90
Helen was born March 30, 1918 in Rutland, Vt. to Ernest Ormand and Ruth Emma Stokell Chellis.
Survivors include two daughters, Carole Ann Quinn of Hot Springs, Ark. and Nancy Diane Quinn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and one grandson, Damian Neil Cuffel of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Anna Chellis of Hagerstown, Md., and two brothers, Edwin E. Chellis Sr. of Jeffersonville, and Richard D. Chellis of North Branch.
Helen was employed by the U.S. Treasury in Washington D. C. for 30 years. Helen had previously lived throughout New England, New York, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, and Iowa.
Helen traveled extensively, she enjoyed making latch hook rugs, reading, playing pinochle, and was an avid genealogist. She also enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Evergreen Estates III Residential Care Center for all the support and kindness they extended to Helen during her stay there. We also deeply appreciate and acknowledge the comfort and peace of mind afforded Helen by the Mercy Hospice team.

Irma F. Fulton
Homemaker, 96

Irma F. Fulton, a lifelong resident of Kenoza Lake, and a devoted mother and housewife, died May 2, 2008 at Wayne Woodland Manor in Waymart, Pa. She was 96.
Daughter of Fred B. and Theodora Reynolds Grant, she was born on January 28, 1912 in Hurleyville.
She was a member of the Kenoza Lake United Methodist Church and the ladies aide of the church.
Survivors include her children, Margaret Sommer McLeod and her husband, Robert of North Branch, Virginia Hunt and her husband, Robert of Oneonta, Edward Fulton and his wife, Evelyn of Cypress, Tx. and Roger Fulton of Middletown; her sister, Doris Blais Vesely and her husband, Fred of Hartwick; her son-in-law, Roy Hoffman of Oriental, N.C.; two brothers-in-law, Frank Fulton, Sr. and William Fulton Sr. and his wife, Jane of Kenoza Lake; her grandchildren, Charles Sommer and his wife, Maria, Douglas Sommer and his wife, Laura, Cheryl Hinckley, J. Vance Hunt, Terry Visconti and her husband, John, Barbara Hoffman, Pamela Brandonio and her husband, Barry, and Dr. Kirsten Fulton; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Earl W. Fulton, Irma was predeceased by her daughter, Jean Hoffman, grandson, Paul Hunt, and three sisters, Helen Oles, Marion VanKeuren and Eleanor Fulton and by her son-in-law, Allan Sommer.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 6 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville at 11 a.m. Pastor Bill Hagerty will officiate.
Burial will be made in Kenoza Lake Cemetery in Kenoza Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kenoza Lake United Methodist Church, Kenoza Lake, NY 12750.

Vera L. Highhouse
Retired Seamstress, 87

Vera L. Highhouse, a lifetime resident of Hortonville, and a retired seamstress, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Cortland Care Center in Cortland.
The daughter of the late Elijah and Grace Kellam, she was born January 27, 1921 in Galilee, Pa.
She was a member of the Monticello Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Delaware Seniors in Callicoon.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Highhouse and his wife, Judy of Callicoon, Patricia Haesche and her husband, George of Groton, Milton Highhouse of Belleville, Ill. and Linda Gotham of Palm Coast, Fla.; one brother, Norman Kellam of Honesdale, Pa.; one sister, Eva Gates and her husband, Archie of Worthington, Ohio; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Delvin Highhouse; a son, Jackson Highhouse; and a granddaughter, Karen Haesche.
Friends may call on Monday, May 12 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main St., Callicoon from 10 a.m. to noon.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at noon with the Pastor Herbert Poholka officiating.
Burial will be made in Hillcrest Cemetery, Galilee, Pa.

Maureen A. Mills
Teacher, 69

Maureen A. Mills of Highland Lake, died Friday, May 2, 2008. She was 69.
The daughter of the late Thomas and Ernestine Rohrman Kennedy, she was born in Hoboken, N.J. on May 16, 1938.
Maureen was the loving wife of 46 years of Ross Mills and beloved mother to Jennifer.
She was a longtime business teacher at Monticello and Fallsburg High Schools. A family statement read, Maureen’s infectious love of fun and life embraced her family, friends and all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Mills; a daughter Jennifer and her partner, Jamie Tafoya of Durham, N.C.; sisters, Marion and her husband, Richard of Homer and Dena Kennedy of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; six nephews, 5 nieces and numerous grand nephews and grand nieces.
She was predeceased by a sister, Sue Harshbarger.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 2 p.m. at the Gray Rasmussen Funeral Home, Rt. 97, Barryville. Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst will officiate.
Burial will be made in Montoza Cemetery, Barryville.
Donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville.

Florence Kinsburner
Homemaker, 98

Florence Kinsbruner died on Saturday, May 3rd in Thousand Oaks, California, after a fall. She was 98.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rose Reitman born in Russia on December 25, 1909.
Florence was the loving wife of the late Mac Kinsbruner who was captain of the St. John’s Wonder 5, NYC Basketball Hall of Fame and was a former General Manager of the Concord Resort Hotel. The Concord was her home for fifty years.
She was the cherished mother of Mickey (Donna), the late Dr. Jay (Karen), Susan Pashkow (Paul); beloved grandmother of Jodi Greenberg (Damian), Randy Kinsbruner (Marla), Marc Longberg, Jennifer Bush (Jeff), Mieca Kinsbruner; Great, as they called her, to Max, Emily, Jacki, Chase, Ashton and twins, Kinsey and Emma. They were her everything.
Florence was a Montessori teacher, taught us that children and family are upmost important. She had a wonderful sense of humor with a passion for books. She was a life member of Hadassah, and the Jewish Women’s International. Florence survived her four younger loving brothers; she was truly the Matriarch of the Family. Surviving her are also her much loved nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws and friends.
“Forever in our hearts by everyone who was touched by her.”
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc., 388 Broadway Monticello. Rabbi Yakov Barros will officiate.
Burial will be in the Temple Sholom Cemetery South Woods drive. Monticello.
