Stephen F. Corimer
Retired Butcher, 64

Stephen F. Corimer of Loch Sheldrake, a retired butcher for Brown's Hotel in Loch Sheldrake, died Friday, September 28, 2001, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, after a long illness. He was 64 years of age.
He was born October 22, 1936, in Bridgeport, Conn.
Mr. Corimer was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his longtime friend, Bill Harrison of Sundown, and his adopted family of the staff and residents at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty.
Graveside services and burial will be held at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty on Tuesday with the Rev. Robert Panek officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Care Council at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Infirmary Road, Liberty, N.Y. 12754.

Ann Rubin
Homemaker, 79

Ann Rubin of Mountaindale, a homemaker and longtime area resident, died Saturday, September 29, 2001, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 79 years of age.
The daughter of the late Jacob and Lena Miller, she was born October 3, 1921, in Baltimore, Md. She was the widow of Dr. Jerry Rubin.
Mrs. Rubin was a member of the Mountaindale Synagogue.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Herb and Phyllis Rubin of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Stephen Lungen of Woodridge; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sidney and Susie Miller of Tamarac, Fla., and Isadore and Florence Miller of Baltimore, Md.; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Dr. Julian Schack of Westbury; four grandchildren, Richard Lungen and his wife, Pamela, Matthew Lungen, Jordan Rubin and his wife, Nicole, and Jenna Rubin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Milton Miller.
Services were held Monday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello with Rabbi Irving Goodman officiating.
Burial was made in the Mountaindale Synagogue Cemetery in Glen Wild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mountaindale Synagogue, Mountaindale, N.Y. 12763 or to the Skilled Nursing Unit at Community General Hospital, Bushville Rd., Harris, N.Y. 12742.

Marvin Weiss
Ret. Car Dealer, 74

Marvin Weiss, a one-year resident of Juno Beach, Fla., a retired car dealer in Monticello for many years and a lifetime area resident, died Monday, September 24, 2001, at the Palm Beach (Fla.) Hospital. He was 74 years of age.
The son of the late Herbert and Violet Ruff Weiss, he was born October 4, 1926, in Bethel.
Mr. Weiss was a member of the Monticello Elks Lodge #1544 and the Monticello Masonic Lodge. He was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Monticello.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Koncz Weiss, at home; a son, Gary Weiss of Arizona; a daughter, Cindy Hughes Weiss of Albany; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Weiss.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Saturday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel with the Rev. Gene Smith of the Monticello United Methodist Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, 255 Broadway, or the Monticello Elks Lodge #1544, 46 North St., both at Monticello, N.Y. 12701.

Wilma G. Comfort
Ret. Machine Oper., 82

Wilma G. Comfort of Bloomingburg, a retired machine operator for Imperial Schrade in Ellenville and a longtime area resident, died Sunday, December 2, 2001, at the Middletown Park Manor. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of the late Roscoe Sr. and Rose Mullican, she was born February 1, 1919, in Hillside, N.J. She was the widow of Robert Comfort Sr.
Mrs. Comfort also worked for 12 years with Shared Textile in Middletown.
She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Henry and Ginny Smith of Bloomingburg, Sue and Donnie Malcolm of Oviedo, Fla., Rose and Gary Hand of Bloomingburg, Betsy and Gene Kehoe of Greene, Dorothy Henry of Ellenville, Charles and Gloria Comfort of Mount Hope, and Floyd Comfort of Middletown; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Mary Mullican, Roscoe and Hilda Mullican and William and Kay Mullican, all of New Jersey; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Community Church of Wurtsboro, Sullivan Street, with the Rev. Robert Schwander officiating.
Burial will be made in the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery in Bloomingburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 159 Green St., Kingston, N.Y. 12401.
Funeral arrangements were made by the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home in Wurtsboro.

Josephine Diescher, 60
Jovic Enterprises Partner

Josephine "Jo" L. Diescher of Livingston Manor, a partner with her husband in Jovic Enterprises, the program director for the Livingston Manor Community Center, and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, December 2, 2001, at the Health Park Medical Center in Fort Meyers, Fla. She was 60 years of age.
The daughter of the late Luther and Alice Wilber Kirby, she was born April 11, 1941, in White Sulphur Springs.
She graduated from Sullivan County Community College at the age of 40. A member of the Livingston Manor United Methodist Church, Mrs. Diescher was also the treasurer of CACHE in Liberty, a board member of the Kaplan Foundation and a dynamic leader in community activities.
She is survived by her husband, Victor H. Diescher Jr., at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Daryl Debetta of Rock Hill; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Victor H. III and Tammy Diescher, Michael and Tracy Diescher and Mark Diescher, all of Livingston Manor; four grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston Manor Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 1, Livingston Manor, N.Y. 12758.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home in Livingston Manor.

Donald J. Eidel
Ret. Rural Carrier, 79

Donald J. Eidel of Woodbourne, a retired rural mail carrier and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, December 3, 2001, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. He was 79 years of age.
The son of the late John A. and Cecilia Stangel Eidel, he was born February 27, 1922, in Woodbourne.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served as a surgical technician. He was a life member of the Stangel-Bernstein Post No. 8086, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Woodbourne, and the American Legion.
Mr. Eidel was a member, past secretary and treasurer of the Woodbourne Hunting Club, a member of the Rural Carriers Association and a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Woodbourne.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mildred "Midge" Eidel at home; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sheryl Eidel of Woodbourne; a brother, Clarence "Sonny" Eidel, and two sisters, C. Ruth Eidel and Mildred Woodward, all of Woodbourne; a grandson, Dylan Eidel of Woodbourne; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Woodbourne with Fr. John Lynch officiating.
Burial will be made in the Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catskill Dialysis Renal Disease Center, Port Jervis Rd., Monticello, N.Y. 12701.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne.

Mac Ingber, 81
Ret. Businessman

Mac Ingber of South Fallsburg, the retired owner and president of Service Scaffold Company in South Fallsburg, died Monday, December 3, 2001. He was 81 years of age.
One of nine children of the late Morris and Fannie Kaufman Ingber, he was born May 25, 1920, in Poland. He was the widower of Rose Cohen Ingber.
Mr. Ingber was a member and past president of the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association, a member of the Fallsburg Fire Department and was a past commissioner for the Fallsburg Fire District. He was also a member of the Town of Fallsburg Lions Club, a past board member of the Monticello Hospital and a former member of the American Arbitration Board.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Fern Ingber and Daniel and Mona Ingber, all of South Fallsburg; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ilene Ingber and her companion, Wayne Hilmer of Stevensville, Md., and Gina and Scott Mirskin of New York City; a daughter-in-law, Linda Ingber of South Fallsburg; three brothers, Ben and Lou Ingber, both of New York, and Jack Ingber of South Fallsburg; four sisters, Pauline Resnick of Akron, Ohio., Bessie Greenberg of Brooklyn, Mimi Leff and Shirley Moskowitz, both of New York; 11 grandchildren, Melissa and her husband, Bradley Zimmerman, Matthew and his wife, Michele Ingber, Adam, Noah, Zachary, Sara, Cory, Joshua and Sam Ingber, Ross Ingber Mirskin and Benjamin Ingber Hilmer. He was predeceased by two sons, Mark and Brian Ingber.
Services were held Tuesday at the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Synagogue in South Fallsburg with Rabbi Isaac Gottlieb officiating.
Burial was made in the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Cemetery in Glen Wild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brian Ingber Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 888, South Fallsburg, N.Y., 12779 or to the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Synagogue, Lake St., South Fallsburg, N.Y. 12779.

Terry Lisa Keeler
Registered Nurse, 50

Terry Lisa Keeler of Oneonta, and formerly of Cooperstown, died unexpectedly Monday, November 26, 2001, at her home. She was 50 years of age.
The daughter of Evelyn Keeler DeMyer and the late George Keeler, she was born May 10, 1951, in Liberty.
A graduate of Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School, she earned her degree in nursing from Orange County Community College. Ms. Keeler previously worked at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown and did private nursing duty in the areas of Cooperstown and Oneonta.
Ms. Keeler is survived by her longtime partner, Dale Cougear of Cooperstown; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ryland Cougear, and Brendon and Robin Slater of Albany; her mother and step-father Evelyn and Wilson DeMyer of Grahamsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Andrew Radoste of Philadelphia, Pa.; a granddaughter, Anneke Slater of Albany; a brother, Randy Keeler of Indiana; three sisters and two sons-in-law, Bonnie and George O'Neill of Scotia, Kelly Graham of Neversink and Tanya and Jim McLean of Boston, Mass.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services and burial were held in Cooperstown.
In remembrance of her daughter, Terry's mother submitted the following:
"If I Knew. . ."
Hold your loved one close today,
Whisper in their ear,
Tell them that you love them
And you'll always hold them dear,
For tomorrow is promised no one,
Young and old alike
And today may be your last chance
To hold your loved one tight.
