Christina M. Shaw of Wurtsboro, a secretary for Plan Vista Solutions in Middletown, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 36 years of age.
The daughter of Christina Demasi Schoentube and the late William Schoentube, she was born August 27, 1965, on Staten Island.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Wurtsboro.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy R. Shaw, a son, John Shaw, and a daughter, Christina Shaw, all at home; and her mother and a sister, Laura Larson, both of Staten Island.
Friends may call at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan St., Wurtsboro, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, Sullivan St., Wurtsboro, with Fr. Peter Madori officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.

Ione ‘GiGi’ Kelley
Framing Super, 67
Ione "GiGi" Kelley, a 38-year resident of Monticello and a framing supervisor at the Todd Galleries before her retirement, died Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 67 years of age.
The daughter of the late Clarence E. and Argona Woods Kelley, she was born October 14, 1934, in Wilkesboro, N.C. She was the widow of Hasty H. Smith who died in 1956.
Ms. Kelley was raised in both North Wilkesboro and Wilkesboro, N.C., where she attended Lincoln Heights High School. She had worked at many of the resorts in the Monticello area before her employment at Todd Galleries. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Monticello, to which she devoted her life.
She is survived by her companion, James Waters, and his grandson, Bobby Waters, both of Monticello; a son, Thomas Kelley Smith of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a brother, Caldwell Woods Kelley of Barrington, N.H.; a sister, Claudette Kelley Denny of Ossining; an uncle, Claude Woods of Wilkesboro, N.C.; two grandchildren, Kelley Ann Warris and Kimberly Smith; a great-granddaughter, Aliyah Warris; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial of the cremains of Clara Lakoczky Szabo, a longtime area resident who died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center in Andover, N.J., will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Route 17B, Bethel, on Friday, August 9, at 10 a.m. Rev. Ivan Csete, of St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church in Forestburgh, will officiate. A funeral mass was held earlier, followed by cremation.
Arrangements were made by the Ramsay's Funeral Home in Kauneonga Lake.
Marjorie J. Cointot
Ret. Acct. Clerk, 77
Marjorie June Cointot of Lakeland, Fla., a former resident of Ellenville and a retired principal account clerk at the Eastern New York Correctional Facility in Napanoch, died Friday, August 2, 2002, at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 77 years of age.
The daughter of the late Garry and Blanche Divine Brown, she was born June 22, 1925, in Ellenville. She was the widow of William R. Cointot who died June 2, 1997.
Mrs. Cointot was a member of Chapter #253, Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Cook-Taylor American Legion Post #111 in Ellenville and a member of the Ellenville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda B. Shultis of Saugerties; a son, Garry W. Cointot of Fairport; five grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Rundle of Wurtsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Loucks Funeral Home, Route 209, Ellenville on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in the Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville.

Robert Lee Akers of Monticello, a maintenance worker for Kutsher's Country Club in Monticello and a longtime area resident, died Tuesday, August 6, 2002, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 64 years of age.
The son of the late Sherman and Verna Marie Arnold Akers, he was born September 22, 1937, in Wytheville, Va.
Mr. Akers was a member of the Mahogany Ridge Hunting Club in Monticello and the Verizon Golf League.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Gerson Akers, at home; two sons, Randy Akers and his wife, Bernadette, and Robert S. Akers, and a daughter, Tammi Helgesen, all of Monticello; two brothers, William Akers of Virginia and Gary Akers of Germany; three sisters, Susan Brown of Maryland and Marie Felaro and Mary Jones, both of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Scott, Danielle, CJ, Katie, Christopher, Eric and Dillon; many step-brothers and step-sisters; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Arnold, and three brothers, Sherman Akers Jr., Larry Akers and Paul Akers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 195 Broadway, Monticello.
Burial will be made in the Glen Wild Cemetery in Glen Wild.

Helen M. "Sally" Brady of Liberty, a retired waitress and cashier for the former Triangle Diner in Liberty and a longtime area resident, died Monday, August 5, 2002, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of the late William and Josephine Dadurkevich Saldonis, she was born June 29, 1920, in Carbondale, Pa.
Mrs. Brady was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church both in Liberty and Monticello.
She is survived by a sister, Veronica Mancuso of Carbondale, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Thursday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in Carbondale, Pa., with Father Kevin Mulhern officiating.
Burial was made in Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in Carbondale, Pa.

Lucille LaMarca of Hurleyville, a retired recorder for NYS Workers Comp Board, a retired switchboard operator for the former Stevensonville Country Club, and a longtime area resident, died Monday, August 5, 2002, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 76 years of age.
The daughter of the late Louis and Bessie Goldberg, she was born July 10, 1926, in New York City. She was the widow of Joseph LaMarca.
Mrs. LaMarca is survived by a son, Ronald H. Weberman of Schaumburg, Ill; two grandchildren, Brian M. and Kevin M. Weberman; six nieces and nephews, Jason and Jill Lewis, Barry and Bonnie, Howard and Teri; four grandnephews, Matthew, Sean, Daniel and Dustin; and her companion, Stanley Moshman at home.
Services were held Wednesday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 186 Broadway, Monticello.
Burial was made in Ahavath Israel Cemetery in Liberty.
Anna I. Colvell

Anna Irene Colvell, a six-year resident of Forestburgh and a homemaker, died Monday, August 5, 2002, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 92 years of age.
The daughter of the late Michael and Anna Baresich, she was born May 21, 1910, in Braddock, Pa. She was the widow of Edward J. Colvell.
Mrs. Colvell was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church in Forestburgh.
She is survived by a son, Edward J. Colvell of Dayton, Ohio; three daughters, Kathryn T. Gerke of Atlanta, Ga., Lois Ann Moroney of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., and Arlene R. Sadler of Forestburgh; two brothers, Frank Baresich of Orlando, Fla., and Eugene Baresich of Waveland, Miss.; a sister, Helen Sartori of Bethlehem, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church in Forestburgh with the Rev. Ivan Csete officiating.
Burial was made in the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale.
