Marie T. Ward of Grahamsville, a homemaker and lifelong area resident, died Friday, March 14, 2003, in Grahamsville. She was 76 years of age.
The daughter of the late Claude and Clara Conklin Terwilliger, she was born September 23, 1926, in Willowemoc.
Mrs. Ward is survived by two sons, Keith Ward of Liberty and Steven Ward of Grahamsville, her companion, Everett Smith, at home; a sister, June Terwilliger of Liberty; a niece, Beverly Watson of Liberty; a nephew, Gary Bivins of Willowemoc; and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Myrtle Matcheson.
Graveside services and burial will be held in the spring at the Claryville Cemetery with the Rev. William Lamb officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Orange-Sullivan Hospice, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, N.Y. 12550.
Arrangements were made by the Harris Funeral Home in Liberty.
Mike and Gloria Parks and John Redington
A memorial service is being held for Mike and Gloria Parks and John Redington (Gloria’s brother) on Saturday, June 2 at 11:45 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Liberty.
Burial will follow immediately at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
The family has requested that everyone not wear black and to celebrate their life with color and lots of laughter.
Eileen Elizabeth Smith
Registered Nurse, 44
Eileen E. Smith, a Registered Nurse of Livingston Manor passed away on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Horton Medical Center. She was 44.
Eileen was the daughter of Harold and Frances O’Rourke Meyer. She was born December 29, 1962 in New York City.
She is survived by her husband, Robert James Smith, who is at home; her daughter, Kristen, who is also at home; her father, Harold, of Liberty; one brother, Steven Meyer of Illinois; mother and father-in-law, Elaine and Bruce McKay of Ridgefield Park; Uncle and Aunt-in-law, Skip and Peggy Hodge of Laconia; sister-in-law, Amy Haake; cousin-in-law, Kelsey Hodge; a grandmother-in-law, Emily Hodge; and her second family of co-workers and residents at Sullivan County Adult Care Center.
She was predeceased by her mother, Frances.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 16 at Masonic Hall in Livingston Manor.

Robert L. Wolfe
Ret. Teacher, 82
Robert L. Wolfe of Narrowsburg, a retired teacher and librarian atNarrowsburg Central School, a 35 year resident, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was 82.
The son of the late Frank J. and Loretta Tyrell Wolfe, he was born in Brooklyn on May 8, 1925.
He was a veteran and participated in the Europe Theatre Operation during World War II. He received the Purple Heart for combat wounds attained at Normandy. He participated in the battles of St. Mere Eglise and St. Lo in France. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. Tusten-Highland Memorial Post No. 6427 and the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor in Vails Gate.
He was retired from Narrowsburg Central School. He was a Library Media Specialist and also taught English and Spanish. He was a member of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System. Upon retirement he devoted his time to his family and learning the computer to allow him to keep in touch with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sigrid Irene Werner; three sons, James R. and his wife, Melissa, Thomas E. and his wife, Helen, William J. and his wife, Edith; three daughters, Eileen Peloquin and her husband, Richard, Ann and Regina Malzahn and her husband, Clinton; fourteen grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Bryan, Lauren, Jennifer, Lindsay, AJ, Matthew, Kevin, Rachel, Daniel, Christopher, Patricia and Joseph; three great grandchildren, Julie, Sydney and Chloe; two brothers, John A. Wolfe and Raymond Wolfe.
He was predeceased by his four brothers, William, Francis, Harry, George and his sister, Rita Olsen.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Narrowsburg. The Rev. William Scully O.F.M. will officiate.
Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier R.C. Cemetery, Narrowsburg.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg.
Christopher Keyes, 53
Christopher R. Keyes of Poultney, Vt., formerly of Bloomingburg and Wurtsboro, died May 14, 2007 in Vermont. He was 53.
He was the son of Leona R. Keyes and John O. Keyes.
He is survived by his father, John O. Keyes; his siblings, Roger Keyes, Rose Anne Weissel and Carolyn Keyes; also by his aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and grand-nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Welsh Presbyterian Church, Route 30, in Poultney, Vt.

James Richard Wright
Retired Controller, 73
James Richard Wright of Cambridge, Ohio, formerly of Monticello died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at his home. He was 73.
He was born on December 14, 1933 in Monticello, son of the late Edward Byron Wright and Harriet (Gerow) Wright, who had resided in Liberty for many years.
Mr. Wright was a controller at Fabri-Form for 36 years, having retired in 1997. He was a 1956 graduate of Kent State, where he received a degree in Business Administration.
He was a member of Elks Lodge #448, a YMCA Board member and a president of the Jaycees. He received the JCI Senator Award. Mr. Wright was chairman of the United Way, a board member of the Cambridge Country Club and president of the Cambridge Band Boosters. He was a Summer League baseball coach for many years and a Bitty-League football coach. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. Mr. Wright's true passion in life was his family.
He leaves his wife, Mary Ellen Barvitski Wright at home, whom he married on September 24, 1955; a son, Ed and Brenda Wright of Cambridge, Ohio; three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Wright of Cambridge, Ohio, Cynthia Ann McCormick of Cambridge, Ohio, and Barbara Ellen and Larry Paden of Lore City, Ohio; a sister, Mary Angeline Elliott of Woodridge; seven grandchildren, Robert Tyler Rivers, Brittany Leann Rivers, James Bradley Wright, Rachel Mary Wright, Nathan Edward Wright, Carson James Paden, and Carter Ross Paden; a great-grandchild, Benjamin Tyler Rivers; and several nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, Ohio on May 26. Father Robert Borer officiated.
Private family burial was made in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge, Ohio.

Casiano Rosa Jr.
Artist, 59
Casiano Rosa Jr. of Middletown, passed away Friday, May 25, 2007 at ORMC, Arden Hill Campus, Goshen. He was 59.
The son of Casiano Rosa Sr. and Haydee Perez, he was born on August 12, 1947 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.
He attended Mercy College in Yonkers and was a gifted artist, talented composer and articulate intellectual.
Cas, a patient and caring father, is survived by his daughter, Naomi Rosa-Habibou and her husband, Mohamed, of Frederick, Md., who expect his first grandchild, Lilyana; his brother, Eddie Rosa of Middletown; sisters, Sonia Rosa of Bloomingburg and Diane Rosa-Selimoski of Middletown.
He was predeceased by one brother, Richard Rosa.
A funeral service of remembrance was celebrated on May 29 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Middletown.
Cremation will be private.

Roslyn K. Block
Registered Nurse, 89
Roslyn K. Block, formerly of Monticello, and most recently residing in Tucson, Ariz., died Monday, May 14, 2007. She was 89.
Born December 29, 1917, in New York City, to Morris and Tessie Klein.
She was a registered nurse and helped in establishing the Intensive Care Unit at Monticello Hospital in Monticello, and later became a nursing supervisor at Hamilton Avenue Hospital in Monticello.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Philip Block, former co-owner of Mountain Dairies of Monticello; sons, Michael (Olga) Block of Tucson, Ariz., Gene (Carol) Block of Charlottesville, Va.; sister, Marian Cott of Placerville, Calif.; four grandchildren, Robert, Tamara, Megan and Ian Block.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Tucson, Ariz.
Ruth B. Kross
Bookkeeper, 72
Ruth B. Kross of Ellenville, a model of supreme love and devotion, died Saturday, May 26, 2007. She was 72.
Born March 19, 1925, to Pauline and Benjamin Brookman, Ruth was valedictorian over hundreds at Morris High in the Bronx, then studied business at City College.
Ruth met Morris, her future husband, during the summer of 1945, while a weekend guest at Tamarack Lodge, Greenfield Park. What a couple in all respects they made.
Alongside Morris, "Ruthie" grew to adore rural life, partnering with him in raising a family, and in the diversified agricultural operation known as Kross Farms.
She applied her keen intellect to bookkeeping on the farm, as well as at the bustling Woodbourne law firm of Kalter, Kaplan, & Zeiger, for 32 years. Talented in countless ways, Ruth prepared superb culinary delicacies for many a crowd, and wrote poetry to commemorate milestones in the lives of relatives and friends.
Ruth's world was shattered when handsome, super, strong Morris was incapacitated by two strokes in January 2001, and yet a third in January 2006. Her own health suffered during the years that she and daughter, Susan, strived tirelessly to care for Morris at home.
She was a member of the Woodbourne Synagogue and Ellenville Hadassah, among other groups. She enjoyed attending meetings and other functions with her beloved husband before he became homebound.
She is survived by sons, Steven Kross, DVM, of North Carolina, Dean Kross, MD, and wife, Sue Friedberg of Pittsburgh, Pa.; daughter, Susan Kross, DVM, of the local area; five grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; loving sisters, Lila Fox and Hilda Kornhauser, and brother-in-law, Adolph Kornhauser, all of New York City.
She was predeceased by her husband Morris after nearly 60 years of marriage; and by a brother, Daniel Brookman, of Queens.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 28 at the Colonial Funeral Home, Woodbourne. The Rabbi Moish Frank officiated.
Interment was made at Congregation B'Nai Israel Cemetery, Glen Wild. Shiva will be observed at the home of Dr. Dean Kross and Sue Friedberg, Pittsburgh, Pa.
