Dan spent much of his life enjoying all that he could. Friends will recall stories of his frequent travels, spanning from childhood trips to Europe with his mother, to more recent travels to the Caribbean and Mexico. Reminiscence would be followed by grand plans for the next adventure, planned from a dog-eared travel book, marked with an ever-present pencil kept conveniently tucked under his watch.
Dan also had a great fondness for food. Not just any food and not always in great quantity, but very specific meals such as lamb with peas, Flounder Oreganata and, especially, duck from Gus's.
Of the many things that Dan enjoyed, none compared to spending time with his family and friends at his beloved home on Yankee Lake. Those who gathered for the many dinners there will not soon forget them.
