Ret. Banker, 87
Margaret M. "Marge" McGeady, a 19-year resident of Daytona Beach, Fla., a former resident of Livingston Manor and a retired 40-year employee of the Livingston Manor National Bank, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Bridgeview Center in Ormond Beach, Fla. She was 87 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frederick and Delia O'Keefe Vantran, she was born September 24, 1915, in Livingston Manor. She was the widow of Joseph McGeady.
Mrs. McGeady was a member of St. Aloysius Church in Livingston Manor and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange, Fla.
She is survived by a sister, Jean V. Gottlieb of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews in the states of New York and Florida. She was predeceased by two sisters, Kathleen "Honey" Ellison and Marion Batkay.
Friends may call at the Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A prayer service will be held Friday evening at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Aloysius Church in Livingston Manor with Msgr. William Collins officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Peter's Cemetery in Liberty.

Wilbur Chapin
Ret. Farmer, 85
Wilbur Chapin of Briscoe, a retired farmer and truck driver, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Achieve Rehab Center in Liberty. He was 85 years of age.
Born in St. Lawrence County on August 11, 1917, he was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in North Branch with Pastor Kristen Anderson officiating.
Susan K. Meyer
Ret. Assembler, 87
Susan K. Meyer of Pond Eddy, a retired assembler for Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Fla. She was 87 years of age.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Suzanna Kundratik, she was born December 23, 1915, in Fairmont, W. Va. She was the widow of Thomas A. Meyer who died October 14, 2002.
Mrs. Meyer was a member of the Pond Eddy United Methodist Church and the Brooksville (Fla.) United Methodist Church.
In a family statement, it was said, "Her hobby was her family and she will be missed by all."
She is survived by four daughters, Carol Cooper of Pond Eddy, Joann Meyer-Trumball and her husband, Robert, of Spring Hill, Fla., Tomasina "Pip" Cyrek of Eldred and Donna Brennan and her husband, George, of Pond Eddy; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main St., Port Jervis, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Pond Eddy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.
Burial will be made in the Glen Spey Cemetery.

Rose Napolitano
Ret. Housekeeper, 82
Rose "Ma" Bastic Napolitano of Middletown, a lifelong area resident and a retired housekeeper for the Middletown State Hospital, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at the Horton Campus of the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Bastic, she was born April 19, 1920, in Florida, N.Y. She was the widow of John Joseph Napolitano.
In a family statement, it was said, "She was a devoted mother who loved life. Ma was our rock and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. . . She was the 'World's Greatest Mom.' She's warmer than the sunshine of a lovely day in spring. She's all that's sweet and precious and a joy remembering. . . She's all the special beauty that a lifetime ever sends. And for so many reasons, she's the dearest of all friends. . . And when I count my blessings, I thank the Lord in prayer, for giving me a Mother, who had so much to share."
She is survived by seven sons, Paul Napolitano, Vincent Napolitano, Russell Napolitano and David Napolitano, all of Middletown, Joseph and his wife, Linda Napolitano of Highland Falls, William and his wife, Susan Napolitano of the village of Florida, and Michael Napolitano of Greenwood Lake; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and George Fritzsch of Middletown, Lena and Bob Barber of Bloomingburg, and Anne Marie and Duane Martel of Otisvillle; a brother, Walter Ozembo of Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by two sons, John Paul Napolitano and Carmen Napolitano, a grandson, Joseph Granziano Jr., two sisters, Stella Wood and Mary Palmer, and a brother, Joseph Bastic.
Following cremation, she will be buried in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Middletown.

Emily M. Baker, 59
Former Nurse's Aide
Emily Moyer Baker of Damascus, Pa., a former nurse's aide at the Ellen Memorial Health Care C enter in Honesdale, Pa., died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Marian Community Hospital in Carbondale, Pa., following an unexpected illness. She was 59 years of age.
The daughter of the late Perry D. and Myrtle E. Moyer Westbrook, she was born March 14, 1944, in Bangor, Maine. She was the widow of Kenneth W. Baker who died October 20, 1987, after 22 years of marriage.
A high school graduate, she attended college in Vermont and first worked as a psychiatric aide in Letchworth Village in Thiells, N.Y., where she met her husband.
Upon moving to this area, Mrs. Baker worked as a nurse's aide at the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale for 14 years before becoming ill.
Mrs. Baker was of the Methodist faith and attended the Abrahamsville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Albert Beckwith of Damascus, Pa.; four step-sons, Elmar Baker of Sanford, N.C., Charlie Baker of Newburgh, Orvis Baker of Dahlgren, Va., and William Baker of Woodland, Me.; two step-daughters, Bonnie Baker of Kentucky and Barbara Walker of Woodland, Me.; a sister, Anne Dominick of Portal, Ariz.; and a brother, Paul Westbrook of Colorado. She was predeceased by two step-children.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main St., Honesdale, Pa., with the Rev. Jan Tiebert, pastor of the Bethany United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be made in the Baker Cemetery in Manchester Township, Pa.
Pearl F. Rielly
Ret. Bookkeeper, 100
Pearl F. Rielly, a 13-year resident of Livingston Manor and a retired bookkeeper for Jamaica Bus in Jamaica, N.Y., died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at her home. She was 100 years of age.
The daughter of the late William and Anna Zimpfer Rielly, she was born September 3, 1902, in South Amboy, N.J.
Mrs. Rielly is survived by four cousins, Marilyn Roser of Livingston Manor, Ann Davis of Roscoe, Mert Henkelman of Liberty and Ruth Bertholf of Hurleyville.
Friends may call at the Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday with the Rev. Gerald L. Wondra officiating.
Burial will be made in the Orchard Street Cemetery in Livingston Manor.

Frank Gregal of Grahamsville, a retired building manager in New York City, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at his home. He was 72 years of age.
The son of the late Alex and Luby Brinjac Gregal, he was born November 28, 1930, in Houtzdale, Pa.
Mr. Gregal was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Dennis Ackerley Post No. 8648, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Neversink. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
In a family statement, it was said, "He came from the country, lived in the city, came back to the country and found great joy and contentment, along with many wonderful friends."
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gregal, at home; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Virginia Gregal of Chester; a sister, AnnaMae Reifer of Houtzdale, Pa.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Alex and Juanita Gregal of State College, Pa., Michael Gregal of New Castle, Pa., and David and Alice Gregal of Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was offered on Monday at the Church of The Immaculate Conception in Woodbourne with Fr. John Lynch officiating.
Interment was made in the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery.

Mary A. Wagner
Ret. Teacher, 82
Mary A. Wagner of Middletown, a retired teacher and a homemaker, died Thursday, March 20, 2003, at St. Teresa's Nursing Home in Middletown. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of the late Ruth and Henry Smith, she was born March 1, 1921, in Cliffside Park, N.J.
After graduating from Orange County Community College and State University of New York at New Paltz, she began her teaching career in the Middletown School District at the Mulberry School. She also taught at the 3 R Center, the Albert Street School and The Memorial School, from which she retired in 1990.
In a family statement, it was said, "Children were Mary's first love and she could not pass by a young child without stopping to offer an encouraging word or a smile." Mary's unselfish and kind personality led a family member to say how lucky George was "to have a wife that everybody loves."
Mrs. Wagner was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish, the Altar Rosary Society, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Rosemary, as well as the PTA and Sarah Wells Girl Scout Council.
Her life with Alzheimer's was eased by the loving care of her caregivers, Heidi, Janet and Pam, the support of the staff at St. Teresa's, Susan at Hand-in-Hand Day Care in Middletown and Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Wagner, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Stuart Close of Katonah; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Carmela Wagner of Burlington, Conn., and George and Lynda Wagner of Esopus; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Jean Gormley of Bowie, Md.; a sister-in-law, Jan Wagner of Green Valley, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend of over 50 years, Lois Howarth of Middletown.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Monday at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Middletown.
Burial was made in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Middletown.
