Harry Ross of Liberty, a longtime area resident and the founder of Ross Electric Company in Liberty, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in Boca Raton, Fla. He was 87 years of age.
The son of the late Katie and Hyman Rosenstein, he was born August 2, 1916, in Philadelphia, Pa.
Mr. Ross was a member and secretary/treasurer of the Ferndale Synagogue. He was also a charter member of the Town of Liberty Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and a member of the Knights of Pythias, the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and of the Odd Fellows.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose Ross, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jerry Koenig of Margate, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Joan Ross of Liberty; five grandchildren and their spouses, Steven and Micky Ross and Kenneth and Tracy Ross, all of Liberty, Rick and Sandi Ross of Boynton Beach, Fla., Jason and Tracy Baumann of Boca Raton, Fla., and Danny and Christine Baumann of California; and six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Nicole, Esti, Allison and Caelian Ross and Kelsey Baumann.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 186 Broadway, Monticello with Rabbi Marvin Goldman officiating.
Burial will be made in the Ferndale Synagogue Cemetery in Parks-ville.
Patricia Weber
Registered Nurse, 47
Patricia " Pat" Williams Weber of Mountaindale, a registered nurse at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center and a former resident of Livingston Manor, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at the White Plains Hospital. She was 47 years of age.
The daughter of Walter and Joan Miller Williams, she was born February 7, 1957, in Liberty.
In a family statement, it was said, "Pat was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver. Her wit and humor brought smiles to everyone she met. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Those who never had the chance, they will never know."
She is survived by her husband of almost two years, Stuart Weber, at home; two sons, Gillian Trujillo of Parksville and Kenneth Alger III of Comstock; a daughter, Amanda Alger of Mountaindale; her father of Damascus, Pa.; her mother, Joan Miller Mereos of Parksville; a sister, Susan Riesner of Livingston Manor; a grandson, Jivan Alger of Mountaindale; several aunts and uncles, including Joyce and Glen Schmidt of Youngsville; and several cousins.
Friends may call at the Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Sierra Cerrone
MHS Student, 14
Sierra Lynn Cerrone of Harris, a freshman at the Monticello High School, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in the Town of Thompson. She was 14 years of age.
The daughter of Joseph and Joan Cerrone, she was born October 13, 1989, in Johnson City.
Miss Cerrone was a member of the Monticello High School Varsity Golf Team and the Debate Team.
She is survived by her parents, and two brothers, Joseph Cerrone Jr., and Gregory Cerrone, all at home; her grandparents, John and Adrienne Reiszel of Vero Beach, Fla., and Joseph and Ann Cerrone of Monroe Township, N.J.; aunt and uncles including John and Sandy Reiszel, Ann Marie Reiszel, Janie and Joe Gentile, Cindy and Scott Jordan, Karon and Dave Forney, Rosemarie Cerrone, Kathie Gill, Lisa and Michael Milazzo; and her extended family of cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles and many close friends.
Visitation for Sierra and her best friend, Ashley Morgan, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway, Monticello, on Friday.
A joint Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, Broadway and Liberty St., Monticello with the Rev. Robert Ginel officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Peter's Cemetery in Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial fund to be set up at a later date.

Ashley Lynn Morgan of Monticello, a freshman at Monticello High School, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in the Town of Thompson. She was 15 years of age.
She was born in Schenectady on January 27, 1989. Ashley was on the Monticello High School Varsity Golf Team and was also a member of the Debate Team.
She is survived by her parents, Linda and Joseph Kenny and her expected little brother, at home; her grandparents, Bill and Marie Morgan of North Miami Beach and Kiamesha Lake, Karen and Matt Donnelly of Halfmoon and Sandy Kenny of Monticello; several aunts and uncles, including Scott and Jen, Rick and Jen, Jill and Jeff and Stacey and Vinny; several cousins; and many close friends.
Visitation for Ashley and her best friend, Sierra Cerrone, will be held on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway, Monticello.
A joint Funeral Mass will be offered at 1 p.m. on Saturday at St. Peter's Church, Broadway & Liberty St., Monticello, with the Rev. Robert Finel officiating.

Dorothy Van Etten, 91
Dorothy I. Van Etten died Tuesday at Green Acres Retirement Living Home in Manistee, Mich., where she resided. She was 91 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frank and Jennie Meredith Courtright, she was born November 24, 1912, in Pine Bush. She was the widow of Kenneth Easman and Richard Van Etten.
Mrs. Van Etten is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Fred Fragomeli of Manistee, Mich.; five grandchildren, Larry Fragomeli of Ft. Worth, Tex., Lisa Fragomeli of Manistee, Mich., Lance and Barb Fragomeli of Woodridge, Va., Lori Fragomeli of St. Louis, Mo., and Lane Fragomeli of San Diego, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Aaron and Logan Harmon and Luke and Matthew Fragomeli; four step-children and their spouses, Jan and Alyce Van Etten of Monticello, Richard and Jeri Van Etten of East Haddam, Conn., Robert and Patricia Van Etten of Monticello, and Margaret and David Coats of Seattle Wash.; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Barbara Courtright; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Elise Shaw, Hazel and Harvey Lybolt, Vera Mulligan and Bea Sands; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two granddaughters, Lynn P. Fragomeli and Lauren B. Fragomeli; two brothers, George and Kenneth Courtright and four sisters, Ruth Damms, Jennie Rinaldi, Margaret Rainy and Edna Scott.
There were no services.
Cremation was made in Michigan.
Lillian T. Schoedel
Homemaker, 99
Lillian T. Schoedel, a four-year resident of Monticello and a homemaker, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 99 years of age.
The daughter of the late William and Theresa Schoedel, she was born August 16, 1904, in New York City. She was the widow of Arthur Z. Schoedel to whom she was married 61 years.
Mrs. Schoedel was an avid supporter of the arts.
She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Joyce A. Garber of Monticello; a son, Robert Schoedel and his wife, of Chappaqua; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held at the Frederick Funeral Home in Flushing on Wednesday.
Burial was made Thursday in the Lutheran Cemetery.
Frank S. Terwilliger
Farm Worker, 52
Frank S. Terwilliger of Cochecton, a disabled farm worker and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, June 14, 2004, at his home. He was 52 years of age.
The son of the late Arthur and Martha Slater Terwilliger, he was born January 11, 1952, in Liberty.
Mr. Terwilliger was a member of the Lake Huntington Fire Department, a life member of the NRA and a life member of the Tusten Settlement Association.
He is survived by a sister, Phyllis Johnston, and a niece, Karry Johnston.
Cremation was made at the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg, Pa.
Graveside services and burial of the cremains will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Tusten Settlement Cemetery in Narrowsburg with the Rev. Phyllis Haynes officiating.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg.
Kaliope Kiriakou

Kaliope N. "Kelly" Kiriakou of Roscoe, a secretary for Horak & Bertsch Law Offices in Livingston Manor and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home. She was 59 years of age.
The daughter of the late Nicholas and Gertrude Freese Kiriakou, she was born September 8, 1944, in Loch Sheldrake.
Ms. Kiriakou was also an insurance broker for many years.
She is survived by a brother, Randall Kiriakou of Loch Sheldrake; two nieces; three nephews; several cousins; and many friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Roy Kiriakou, and a sister, Jo Ann Hurd.
Friends may call at the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Friday with the Rev. Stephen Dibble officiating.
Burial will be made in the Hurleyvile Cemetery.

Joseph J. Meola
Ret. Auto Mech, 68
Joseph J. Meola of Roscoe, a retired self-employed auto mechanic and deli owner and a 40-year area resident, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home. He was 68 years of age.
The son of the late Vincenzo and Carmela Picariello Meola, he was born March 17, 1935, in Jersey City, N.J.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, he was the commander and a life member of the Floyd Keener American Legion Post #315; commander and a life member of the AmVets Post #315; a life member of the Marine Corps League; and a member of Harold Wood VFW Post #5911 in Roscoe. Over the years he was active in many community organizations, including organizing and coaching the American Legion baseball team.
Mr. Meola is survived by his wife, Charlene R. Meola, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Jo-Anne and Gary Wright of Livingston Manor; three sons, and two daughters-in-law, Joseph Meola of Roscoe, James and Sally Meola of Roscoe and Jeffrey and Tracy Meola of Callicoon; a sister, Mary Ann Meola-Hagerty of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Kim Guzman of Florida; ten grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, John Meola, in 1986.
Graveside services with military honors and burial were held Monday at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty with Wesley Pryer officiating.
