Minna K. Langer, a 10-year resident of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of Swan Lake, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in Long Beach, Calif. She was 86 years of age.
The daughter of the late Morris and Rebecca Bernstein Kaufman, she was born February 11, 1914, in Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband, Michael H. Langer, at home; a son, Major A. Langer of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Heckerling and Stella Suberman, both of the state of Florida; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan and Alexis. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Langer.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 186 Broadway, Monticello, with Rabbi Marvin Goldman officiating.
Burial will be made in the Swan Lake Synagogue Cemetery in Liberty.
LaRue Moore
Ret. Landscaper, 73
LaRue "Thomas" Moore of Monticello, a retired landscaper and lifelong area resident, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 73 years of age.
The son of the late Robert and Edna Kinne Moore, he was born July 10, 1926, in Monticello.
In a family statement, it was said, "He was a beloved uncle who will be greatly missed by all."
Mr. Moore is survived by two sisters, Naomi Bolduc of Monticello and Ella Ackerly of New Jersey; five nieces, Robin Moore DeRito, Brenda, Tina and Maria Bolduc, and Lori Fabricant; seven nephews, Scott and Bob Moore, Darrin Jahn, Joseph and Robert Bolduc and Jerry and Richard Specht; three grand-nephews, Daniel DeRito, Scott Moore Jr. and Christopher Moore; and a grand-niece, Ciera Moore.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Thursday at St. Peter's Church in Monticello.
Burial was made in the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
Funeral arrangements were made by the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home in Monticello.
Carl Williams
Retired Cook, 79
Carl "Dapper Dan" Williams of Monticello, a retired cook at the Concord Resort Hotel in Kiamesha Lake, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at his home. He was 79 years of age.
He was born December 7, 1920, in the West Indies.
He is survived by several friends.
Friends may call at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 195 Broadway, Monticello, on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m..
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Willie Smith officiating.
Cremation will be made at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.

Ret. Clerical Worker
March 17, 2000 -- Grace C. Porto, a 15-year resident of Livingston Manor and a retired clerical worker for the American Kennel Club in New York City, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 83 years of age.
The daughter of the late Peter and Carmella Ombres Porto, she was born July 1, 1916, in New York City.
Miss Porto was a member of St. Pio Peprelcino Catholic Church in Livingston Manor.
She is survived by two brothers, Leo Porto of Toms River, N.J., and Joseph Porto of Houston, Tex.; a sister, Vera Guerra of Plainview, L.I.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A prayer service will be held at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in the Lew Beach Cemetery.

Robert J. Hubert
Repairman, 66
Robert J. "Bob" Hubert of Summerfield, Fla., a repairman for the mobile home industry, a 19-year resident of Florida, formerly of Youngsville, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at his home. He was 66 years of age.
The son of the late August and Margaret Abplanalp Hubert, he was born April 20, 1933, in Briscoe.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Hubert is survived by his wife, Violet Hubert of Summerfield, Fla.; three sons, Jeff R. Hubert and Kerry D. Hubert, both of Summerfield, Fla., and Todd F. Hubert or Orlando, Fla.
Services and burial were held in Florida.

Milan A. Warwick,
Retired Foreman, 95
Milan "Mike" Alfred Warwick of Honesdale, Pa., a lifelong area resident, formerly of Narrowsburg, and a retired foreman for Narrowsburg Feed and Grain in Narrowsburg, died Monday, March 13, 2000, at the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale, Pa. He was 95 years of age.
The son of the late William and Elizabeth Perkins Warwick, he was born September 1, 1904, in Beach Lake, Pa. He was the widower of Clara Powers Warwick who passed away in 1964 and Pearl Kerber Warwick who died in 1998.
Mr. Warwick was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale, Pa.
He is survived by four step-children, Gloria Hansen of Honesdale, Pa., Kathryn VanDeLinde of Milanville, Pa., Lillian Hepler of Virginia and John Kerber of South Carolina; a sister, Ethel Holbert of Honesdale, Pa. 21 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two step-children, Robert Powers and Robert Kerber, two sisters, Alice Warwick and Edith Wegst, and a brother, William Warwick.
Services were held Thursday at the Rasmussen Sons Funeral Home in Narrowsburg with Pastor Lane Jones officiating.
Burial was made in the Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg.

Ernest Schleiermacher
Ret. Carpenter/Farmer, 91
Ernest Schleiermacher of Shandelee, a retired union carpenter and farmer and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, March 13, 2000, at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 91 years of age.
The son of the late Erich and Mary Bohl Schleiermacher, he was born May 3, 1908, in Callicoon Center. He was the widower of Kay Rheinheimer Schleiermacher and Margaret Tremper Schleiermacher.
Mr. Schleiermacher was a past member of the Livingston Manor Fire Department; a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in New Port Richey, Fla.; and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Etta R. and Eugene Barbanti of Shandelee; a grandson, Scott Simpson and his wife, Debbie; a granddaughter, Tami VanLeuven and her husband, John; four great-grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel VanLeuven and Erin and Jeffrey Simpson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home in Livingston Manor with the Rev. Donna Lepsky officiating.
Cremation was private.

Lillian Klein of South Fallsburg, a homemaker and longtime area resident, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at the Horton Medical Center in Middletown. She was 73 years of age.
The daughter of the late Barney and Fannie Levine Aaron, she was born February 2, 1926, in Brooklyn.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Klein, at home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Al Johnston and Sheila and Ed Anderman, all of Mountaindale; a granddaughter, Samantha Anderman; a brother, Norman Aaron of New Jersey; a sister, Gladys Flax of the state of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Thursday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello with Rabbi Isaac Gottlieb officiating.
Burial was made in the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Cemetery in Glen Wild.
Heinz Conrad
Ret. Mechanic, 73
Heinz Conrad of Wurtsboro Hills, a retired mechanic for Con Edison in New York City, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at the Horton Medical Center in Middletown. He was 73 years of age.
The son of the late Franz and Martha Hintz Konrad, he was born June 8, 1926, in Pommern, Germany.
Mr. Conrad was a member of the Mamakating Senior Citizens in Wurtsboro and the German-American Club in Middletown.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rose Koeppl Conrad, at home; a son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Jane Conrad of Delanco, N.J.; a daughter, Linda Conrad of Whitestone; and two granddaughters, Jessica and Kristen.
Services were held Thursday evening at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home in Wurtsboro.
Cremation was made at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
