Retired Farmer, 90
Arnold Drumm of Damascus, Pa., a retired farmer and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, Pa. He was 90 years of age.
The son of John and Flora Drumm, he was born September 16, 1915 in Galilee, Pa.
Survivors include three nieces, Donna Nober of Cochecton, Trudy Stalker of Damascus, Pa. and Debbie Brigham of Brevard, N.C.; a nephew, Jasper Brigham of Larksville, Pa.; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and great-grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, William Drumm and John Drumm, and by two sisters, Mary Turner and Elizabeth Brigham.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 10 at Calkins Union Cemetery, Milanville, Pa. Rev. Stuart Hunt will officiate.
Memorial donations may be made to the Damascus Baptist Church, Damascus, PA 18415.

Beatrice Levine, 84
Co-owner, Hotel Gibber
Beatrice Bashe Levine, co-owner and operator of the former Hotel Gibber and a longtime resident of Kiamesha Lake, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside. She was 84.
The daughter of Charles and Mary Sactor Gibber, she was born October 20, 1921 in Brooklyn.
She is survived by a sister, Rose “Razel” Feldman; her cousins, Harold and Marilyn Gibber; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Jack Levine and her brother-in-law, Harold Feldman.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, Monticello. Burial was made in South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Cemetery, Glen Wild.

Randy L. Hutson
Ret. Chief Petty Officer, 47
Randy L. Hutson of Montague, N.J. died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. He was 47.
He was born February 23, 1959 in Denver, Colo. the son of Marion Gill Hailey. He was married for 23 years to Mareva Babcock on May 28, 1983 in Montague, N.J.
He was a member of F.R.A. - Fleet Reserve Association Branch #229. He retired after 26 years in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, Washington, D.C.
A family statement read, “Although Randy’s life was short he touched the lives of many people. What you saw was who he was. What he said was what he meant. He tried his best at everything he did. His unique sense of humor will be greatly missed. The cancer was stable and it sent us into a false sense of security; his heart decided otherwise. We thought he would be by our sides for a longer length of time; we hoped his perseverance would prevail. It was time for him to go so behind we stay to continue with only our memories. Life is truly short. Live, love and be happy. In the end it’s not what you have accomplished it’s the person you became, and a great person now resides in our hearts. Fair winds and smooth sailing until we meet again.”
Surviving are his wife and their two daughters, Ashley and Mary, in Montague, N.J.; his mother, Marion Hailey of Edgewater, Colo.; maternal grandmother, Ethel Gill also of Edgewater, Colo.; three brothers, Ross Hailey and his wife, Renee, of Littleton, Colo., Bob Hailey and his wife, Kelli, of Brighton, Colo., and David Hailey of Edgewater, Colo.; two sisters, Paula Hutson of Edgewater, Colo. and Deborah Tollison of Buckeye, Ariz.; a brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Susan Ewbank and their children, who are Randy’s godchildren, Caryn and Bryan Jr. of Westfall, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Melissa Herman and her daughter, Olivia, of Yulan; a brother-in-law, Roland Babcock, and mother-in-law, Patricia Babcock, both of Montague, N.J.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Roland W. Babcock; and his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Gill.
Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, August 12 at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mildred “Millie” F. Keegan of Kenoza Lake died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Roscoe Community Nursing Home in Roscoe. She was 85.
The daughter of Jacob and Dorothy Hill Skinner, she was born August 21, 1920 in Pottstown, N.J.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Harold Keegan, at home; a daughter, Viola Blume and her husband, Bill, of Kenoza Lake; grandchildren, Lorrie Ackerley and her husband, Dannie, of Kenoza Lake; and Tina Bauernfeind and her husband, Mel, of Virginia; a great-grandchild, Nicole Bauernfeind, a sister, Marge Doucet of Delaware; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Frederick, Robert and Jacob Skinner; and a sister, Gwendlyn Allen.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. The Rev. Paul Hagadorn will officiate. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Earlean B. McCoy of Monticello died Saturday, August 5, 2006 in Adventure, Fla. She was 65.
The daughter of the late Taylor and Essie O’Bannon Bracey, she was born June 16, 1941 in Bay Minette, Ala.
She was a licensed practical nurse at Catskill Regional Medical Center, and a member of King’s Chapel Mission in Monticello, where she was president of the Usher Board.
She is survived by a son, Gerald Michael McCoy of New Carrolton, Md.; two daughters, Brundia “Poochie” Parker of Monticello and Carmen Bickham of Severn, Md.; six brothers, Samuel Bracey, Taylor Bracey Jr., Jimmy Bracey, and Tim Koen, all of Monticello; Leslie “Sonny” Bracey of S. Carolina, and Steve Bracey of New York; two sisters, Gladys Smith and Millie White of Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law and friends.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11 at Ramsay’s Funeral Homes, 55 St. John St., Monticello.

Louise Dean of Neversink, a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Kingston City Hospital. She was 82.
The daughter of Raymond and Ora TerBush George, she was born August 28, 1923 in Sundown.
Louise was a member of the Lowes Corners Baptist Church, the Revonah-Lincoln Kiamesha Chapter OES #433, a past chaplain and officer of the OES, and a charter member of both the Neversink Ladies Auxiliary and the Neversink First Aid Squad.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Archie T. Dean Jr., at home; a son, George A. Dean and his wife, Barbara, of Neversink; two daughters, Carolyn Louise Hill of Neversink and Bonnie Sue VanDenberg and her husband, Glenn, of Claryville; 14 grandchildren, Stephanie Moraine, Pamela DeMarmels, Craig Dean, Kristy Closs, Kylie Conjura, Nikki Dean, Stephen Poley, Deanna Poley, Danielle Poley, Bryan Poley, Christopher Poley, Brittany Poley, Jennifer and Amy VanDenberg; 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley M. Poley, and a sister, Hazel Akers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, Liberty, with the Rev. Maybelle Renz officiating.
Burial was made in the Rural Cemetery in Grahamsville.

Gerald Seitel
Ret. Businessman, 82
Gerald Seitel died Thursday, July 27, 2006 in Seattle, Washington after a prolonged illness. He was 82.
The son of Esther and Max Seitel, he was raised and educated in Roscoe and at New York University, leaving to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot during WWII.
After leaving the Air Corps, he moved to Monticello where he co-founded the Bogner-Seitel Lumber Co., and later Century 21/Kaaterskill Realty Co. He served his community as a Monticello Village Trustee, was a member of the Town of Thompson Advisory Board, served 10 years on the Monticello Central School Board, and was a member and past president of the Monticello Kiwanis Club.
Mr. Seitel was devoted to his immediate and extended family and to his friends. He maintained a lifelong interest in music, sports and flying. He will be remembered for his integrity and fun-loving spirit. Loving and loyal, he brought out the best in us all.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloria, in Seattle; his children, Laura and her husband, Loy Martin, of Palo Alto, Calif., Peter and his wife, Jan Geier, of Seattle, Wash., Kathy and her husband, Gerald West, of Oswego and Jamie Geier of Oakland, Calif.; and his brother Abraham Seitel and his wife, Susan, of Minneapolis, Minn.

Sean Johnson of Florida, formerly of Wurtsboro, died suddenly August 4, 2006 in Florida. He was 23.
The son of Lee Iarusso Johnson and the late Paul Johnson, he was born February 22, 1983 in Queens.
Sean is survived by his mother of Florida; a sister, Brittany of Florida; his paternal grandfather, William Johnson of Wurtsboro; maternal grandmother, Lorraine Iarusso of Florida; his uncles, Richie Iarusso and his wife, Gina, of Conn., and John Iarusso and his wife, Donna, of Conn.; an aunt, Anita Kientzler and husband, Jeff, of Wurtsboro; and several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Eric; his paternal grandmother, Mary Johnson; and maternal grandfather, Jerry Iarusso.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church, Bloomingburg. Father Raymond Bagdonis, O.Carm., officiated.
Burial was made in the Sylvan Cemetery, Wurtsboro.
