Felix Sosnowski
Ret. Oper. Engr., 75

Felix A. Sosnowski of Woodbourne, a retired operating engineer for Local 825 and a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 75 years of age.
The son of the late Stephen and Josephine Sadowska Sosnowski, he was born November 1, 1924, in Brooklyn.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Sosnowski served in Normandy and Northern France.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Supranowich Sosnowski, at home; four sons, Gary R. Sosnowski of Oklahoma City, Okla., Michael F. Sosnowski of Foxboro, Mass., Russell S. Sosnowski of Lake Mohegan and Timothy J. Sosnowski of Baldwin; two sisters, Jane Koski of New Jersey and Helen Conrad of Woodbourne; three brothers, Charles Sosnowski of Woodbourne and Edward and Stephen Sosnowski, both of California; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sunday at the Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne.
Burial was made in the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, N.Y. 12550.

Hilda M. Woodruff
Homemaker, 88

May 5, 2000 -- Hilda M. Woodruff of Livingston Manor, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, February 6, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 88 years of age.
Graveside services and burial will be held at noon on Saturday at the Lew Beach Cemetery with Pastor Dorothy Smith officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston Manor Ambulance Corps, Livingston Manor, N.Y. 12758.

Anthony R. Mealie
Ret. From IT&T, 80

Anthony R. Mealie of Roscoe, a retired employee of I.T. & T. in New York City and a longtime area resident, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 80 years of age.
The son of the late Joseph and Pauline Fucci Mealie, he was born December 14, 1919, in Cadosia.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a former member of the Italian-American Club of Sullivan County. Mr. Mealie was a communicant of Gate of Heaven Church in Roscoe and as a youth served as an altar boy for many years at St. Aloysius Church in Livingston Manor.
Mr. Mealie was employed by Arma Corp. in Long Island before working for I.T.&T.
He is survived by a daughter, Cathleen Ann Mealie of the state of Florida; a sister, Dolores Quick of Roscoe; a brother, Cosmas Patrick Mealie of Roscoe; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday at Gate of Heaven Church in Roscoe with the Rev. Alfred Croke officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Livingston Manor.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Church, Livingston Manor, N.Y. 12758 or to the R&R Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Roscoe, N.Y. 12776.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Harris Funeral Home in Roscoe.

Elizabeth Hamilton
Disabilities Advocate, 73

Elizabeth "Betty" Hamilton of Harris, a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 73 years of age.
The daughter of the late Oscar and Hazel Pine Hamilton, she was born August 14, 1926, in Monticello.
Ms. Hamilton was a resident of Thanksgiving Farm and Hamilton House (which was named after her) at SDTC - The Center for Discovery in Harris for the past 15 years. She had been a member of the Center's Board of Directors for many years and was a respected statewide advocate for people with disabilities. She was the author of a book of memoirs, "Call Me Betty."
She is survived by a sister, Ann Goldsmith of Kiamesha Lake; three nieces, several grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and a great-grand-nephew. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Hamilton.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley St., Liberty, with Dr. Richard Magagna officiating.
Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel.
Memorial contributions may be made to SDTC - The Center for Discovery, Box 840, Harris, N.Y. 12742.

Eva L. Smith
Homemaker, 96

Eva L. Smith of Liberty, a longtime area resident, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 96 years of age.
The daughter of the late Aaron and Lillie Beebe Stanton, she was born June 15, 1903, in Sullivan County. She was the widow of Herbert L. Smith who died June 1, 1983.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was also a member of the Liberty Garden Club and the Sullivan County Cooperative Extension.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Schmidt of Monticello; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law, Nelson and Grace Smith, two brothers, Harold and Stanley Stanton, a sister, Daisy Dice, and a granddaughter, Debbie Bump.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 South Main St., Liberty, with the Rev. Rosemary Smith officiating.
Interment will be made in the Liberty Cemetery in Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Council of the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, P.O. Box 671, Liberty, N.Y. 12754.

Joseph Giglio,
Gourmet Chef, 49

Joseph Giglio of Monticello and Bay Ridge, a gourmet chef, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. He was 49 years of age.
The son of the late John and Marie Sabatino Giglio, he was born August 12, 1950, in Brooklyn.
He is survived by three brothers, John Giglio of Binghamton, Louis Giglio of Seminole, Fla., and James Giglio of Rock Hill; a sister, Roseann Walter of Barrington, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 195 Broadway, Monticello, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 173 Sullivan St., Wurtsboro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church in Wurtsboro with the Rev. Robert Porpora officiating.
Cremation will be made in Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.

Doris Thorne
Ret. Bus Driver, 60

Doris Thorne of Callicoon, a retired bus driver for the Sullivan County Office for the Aging and a longtime area resident, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at the Grover M. Hermann Division of Community General Hospital in Callicoon. She was 60 years of age.
The daughter of the late William H. II and Eva M. Gerry Tesseyman, she was born July 4, 1939, in Long Island.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Thorne, at home; two daughters, Penny Lynch of Greenville and Deborah Everly of Fort Smith, Ark.; a sister, Linda Scott of Oceanside; two brothers, William Tesseyman III of Glen Spey and Edward Tesseyman of East Rockaway; five grandchildren, Dustin, Drew and Tyler Lynch and Kevin and Elise Everly; an uncle, Edward Tesseyman of High Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon with the Rev. Jon Speed officiating.
Burial will be made in the Callicoon Cemetery in Callicoon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Callicoon, N.Y. 12723.

Jamaine D. Wyatt
Security Guard, 22

Jamaine Douglas Wyatt of Brooklyn, a security guard, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at the Brookdale Medical Center in Brooklyn. He was 22 years of age.
The son of Howard D. and Phyllis Herring Wyatt, he was born August 30, 1977, in Brooklyn.
In a family statement, it was said, "He will always be remembered and will live forever in the hearts of the ones who loved him."
He is survived by his mother and and his father, both of Brooklyn; four sisters, Yulonda Dennison of Virginia Beach, Va.; Donna Jones and Sadequa Robinson, both of Liberty, and Kimberly Wyatt of Brooklyn; a son, Shaty Wyatt, at home; his fianceŽ, Leticia Pabon of Brooklyn; his stepfather and mother, Jesse and Vernia Robinson of Ferndale; an uncle, Louis Herring of Brooklyn; an aunt, Rosetta Palmer of Brooklyn; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held in Brooklyn.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Harris Funeral Home in Liberty.

Eleanor Potts
Homemaker, 58

Eleanor Potts of Accord, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at her home. She was 58 years of age.
The daughter of the late Harry E. and Mary M. Downer Decker, she was born July 30, 1941, in Newburgh.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Potts; a daughter, Mary Ann Potts of Bloomingburg; a son and daughter-in-law, John W. III and Mary Ann Potts of Accord; two grandsons, William and Christopher Potts; her extended family, Arthur and Susan Tompkins and children, A.J. Tompkins and Michele Tompkins, all of Wawarsing; four sisters, Mary Faguri of Plattekill, Alice Williams of Lake Placid, Fla., Anna J. Biazini of Wallkill and Margaret McQuiston of Washingtonville; two brothers, Douglas Decker of Marlboro and Edgar Decker of Worcester; two aunts, Flora Dawes and Pearl Langlity, both of Wallkill; 14 nieces and nephews; 17 grand-nieces and nephews; many cousins; and many, many friends.
Services were held Wednesday evening at the H.B. Humiston Funeral Home in Kerhonkson with the Rev. Arlene Dawber officiating.
Inurnment will be private at the Cedar Hills Cemetery in Middle Hope.
