William M. O'Neill of Frederick, Md., died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md. He was 81 years of age.
The son of the late John R. and Mary McCormick O'Neill, he was born June 11, 1919, in New York.
Mr. O'Neill had been in the banking business for most of his life and was instrumental in forming and serving as president with four banks — Lynnbrook (N.Y.), National in Washington, D.C., FSK in Frederick and The First Bank of Frederick.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Frederick Rotary Club and a past president of ECDC in Frederick.
He is survived by his wife, Cornelia Delaney O'Neill, at home; a son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Kendra S. O'Neill of Frederick, Md.; a sister-in-law, Clare D. Shiells of Frederick; and a niece, Mary Ann Greene of Monticello. He was predeceased by a brother, J. Vincent O'Neill.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home in Frederick, Md.
Interment will be private.

Grace M. Rowley of Middletown, a retired employee of F.W. Woolworth's in Middletown and a 60-year area resident, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at her home. She was 85 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frank and Jennie Love Relyea, she was born March 12, 1915, in Highland. She was the widow of George Palmer Rowley.
Mrs. Rowley was a member of Webb Horton Memorial Presbyterian Church in Middletown.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine R. and Victor Turi of Middletown; three grandchildren, Alayna S. Loiodice of Middletown, G. Paul Turi of Smallwood and Michelle Starr of Liberty; and five great-grandchildren, Todd Lyons, Vincent and Bret Loiodice and Kristin and Cassidy Turi. She was predeceased by a son, George Gerald Rowley, and a grandson, Scott A. Turi.
Graveside services and burial were private at the Wallkill Cemetery in Phillipsburg with the Rev. Kenneth Wonderland officiating.

Ralph T. Delaney of Kenoza Lake, an eight-year area resident and the office manager of Fern Manor at Kenoza Lake, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 70 years of age.
The son of the late John and Mary McCormack Delaney, he was born October 19, 1929, in New York City.
Mr. Delaney was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services were followed by burial in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty. The Rev. Robert Nee officiated.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
Fred A. Hubert, 49
Bldg.Grounds Supt.
Fred A. Hubert of Jeffersonville, a building and grounds superintendent for the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Liberty and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Jeffersonville. He was 49 years of age.
The son of Kenneth and Florence Allgeier Hubert, he was born March 16, 1951, in Liberty.
Mr. Hubert was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Jeffersonville.
He is survived by his parents of Sykesville, Md.; his wife, Janet Hill Hubert, at home; a step-son, Jeffrey Hill of Jeffersonville; three sons, Joshua and Jody Hubert of Breeman, Ind., and Jeremy Hubert, at home; two grandsons, Sullivan and Quinn Hubert, and a granddaughter, Melanie Hubert, all of Breeman, Ind.; a brother, Timothy Hubert of Sykesville, Md.; a sister, Maureen Stiene of Mongaup Valley; a niece and a nephew.
Friends may call at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church of Jeffersonville with the Rev. Kristen Anderson officiating.
Burial will be made in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Homemaker, 90
Elanora VanKeuren of Mongaup Valley, a homemaker and a lifelong Sullivan County resident, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at the Andover Subacute and Rehab Center in Andover, N.J. She was 90 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frank and Nora Gabriel, she was born July 18, 1910, in Monticello.
Mrs. VanKeuren was a member of the Mongaup Valley United Methodist Church and the Bethel Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a son, Douglas VanKeuren of Kauneonga Lake; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Franklin VanKeuren.
There will be no visitation.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mongaup Valley United Methodist Church, Route 17B, Mongaup Valley with the Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating.
Burial will be made in the Mongaup Valley Union Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Ramsay's Funeral Home in Kauneonga Lake.
Leonard I. Gertner, 74

Leonard I. Gertner of Rock Hill and Boynton Beach, Fla., a retired vice president of Miller Automatic in Monticello and a 32-year area resident, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 74 years of age.
The son of the late Harry and Elizabeth Gertner, he was born September 20, 1925, in Brooklyn. He was the widower of Norma Rosen Gertner.
Mr. Gertner was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Dottie Samuelson, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Alane and Les Brown of Millrose, Mass.; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Wendy Gertner of Agoura Hills, Calif.; a sister, Deanna Golkin of Florida; three grandchildren, Breanna, Rebecca and Gabrielle Gertner; and several nieces and nephews.
Shiva will be observed at the family home in Rock Hill until Wednesday.
Services were held Sunday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello.
Burial was made in the New Montefiore Cemetery in Pinelawn, N.J.
Andrew A. Wormuth

Andrew Austin Wormuth, the infant son of William Bradley and Lula Cecelia Beach Wormuth of Woodbourne, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. He was 18 days old.
Andrew was born July 10, 2000, in Philadelphia.
He is survived also by a brother, Bradley Thomas Wormuth, and a sister, Stephanie Lynn Wormuth, both at home; his paternal grandparents, Bradley Wormuth and Helen Brown, both of Liberty; his maternal grandmother, Sylvia Beach of Liberty; his maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Andrew and Tammy Graham of Liberty; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, William Bradley Wormuth.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Robert C. Nadelen officiating.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Ramsay's Funeral Home in Liberty.

Benjamin Rymanowski of White Lake, a retired baker with Tastyee Cakes of Queens and a 13-year area resident, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at the Walnut Mountain Care Center in Liberty. He was 79 years of age.
The son of the late Joseph and Pauline Romanowski, he was born July 28, 1921, in Jersey City, N.J.
Mr. Rymanowski was a U.S. Merchant Marine veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche Goldenberg Rymanowski, at home; a daughter, Laurie Pallan of Loch Sheldrake; a son, Mitchell Rymanowski of Burlington, Conn.; and two grandchildren, Rachel and David Pallan.
Services were held Monday at the Harris Funeral Home in Liberty with Monsignor Edward Straub officiating.

Heike Berger of Kenoza Lake, a homemaker and a 13-year area resident, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City following a long illness. She was 34 years of age.
The daughter of the late Gisela Müller, she was born October 9, 1965, in Baumholder, Germany.
She is survived by her husband, William Berger, and two step-children, William and Christopher Berger, all at home; a sister, Phyllis Stajner of Denton, Neb.; two brothers, Richard and David Müller, both in Germany; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Michelle Rajaniemi.
Cremation was made at the Twin Tiers Crematory in Endicott.
Arrangements were made by the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
