Margaret Holmes, of Monticello, passed into Eternal Life on Tuesday September 4, 2007 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 61.
A longtime resident of the area, she was born in New York City on February 13, 1946 to Margaret and the late Louis Mariotti.
She had been employed as a home health aide for the Sullivan County Department of Public Health.
She is survived by her mother Margaret Mariotti of Stone Ridge, two sons; Joseph Bonilla of Pine Bush and Robert Bonilla of Monticello, two daughters; Stephanie Bonilla and husband Stewart Graham of Monticello, and Rena Bonilla of White Lake, one brother; John Mariotti of Accord, one sister; Frances Dexter of Wisconsin, and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter; Veronica Holmes.
There will be no visitation. Private services and cremation will be at the convenience of the family at Cedar Hill Crematory Newburgh.

Ethel M. Danzer
Woodboune Prison RN, 60
Ethel M. Danzer of Swan Lake, a 57-year resident of the area, passed away on August 31 ,2007 at home. She was 60.
She was born in Philadelphia on Sept. 14, 1946 to the late Carl and Katherine Moore Harty. She had worked as an RN at Woodbourne Correctional Facility .
She is survived by one son, Zach Danzer of Louisburg, N.C.; one brother, Gene Kehrley of Calhoun Falls, S.C.; two sisters, Carol Behrens of Woodbourne and Harriet Jones of Corpus Christi, Tx; one grandson, Justin Zachiriah-Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were able to call at Ramsay’s Funeral Homes, Inc. 275 South Main Street, Liberty on Thursday, September 6. Funeral services were conducted that evening at the funeral home.
Cremation will be at the convenience of the family at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh.

John Seabury
Sullivan ARC participant, 45
John Alden Seabury, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2007 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 45.
The son of Barbara E. Davis and Brian A. Seabury, he was born on July 14, 1962 in Middletown.
He was a participant of Sullivan County ARC since February of 1992. His biggest passion was boats of any kind, playing miniature golf, going bowling and stopping at Dunkin Donuts for a cup of coffee.
John is survived by his mother, Barbara E. Davis Seabury of Arizona; his father Brian A. Seabury and his wife, Vickie also of Arizona; his maternal grandmother, Helen Davis of Wyoming; one brother, Brian A. Seabury and his wife Tracy of Arizona; three sisters, Valerie Tobin of Wisconsin; Lisa Austin of Kansas; Caireen DeVaux and her husband Robert of Iowa; two uncles, George C. Davis II of Arizona, who was very special to John; Joel Davis and his wife, Carol of Pennsylvania; two special friends, Claude and Doris, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Grover Davis; and his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Katherine Seabury.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 4 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, State Route 52, Woodbourne. Funeral Servicess were held at that time at the funeral home.
Cremation will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home.
Kyla Anne Schwesinger
Infant, 5 months
Kyla Anne Schwesinger of Damascus, Pa. died Friday, August 24, 2007 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa. She was five months of age.
The daughter of Drue Schwesinger and Renee Dieterich of Damascus, she was born March 21, 2007 in Honesdale.
In a family statement, it was said, “Kyla was a bundle of joy with a beautiful smile and will always be ‘Our Little Angel’ to her family.”
She is survived by her big brother, Ayden Schwesinger; her paternal grandparents, Frank Schwesinger of Beach Lake, Pa. and Gretta Schwesinger of Damascus; her maternal grandparents, Michael Dieterich Sr. of Farmington, NJ and Michelle Dieterich of Honesdale; great-grandparents, Rudy and Anne Dieterich of Marco Island, Fla. and Theresa Reidenback of Elizabeth, NJ; uncles Dylan and Dane Schwesinger and Michael Jr., Matthew and Alexander Dieterich; and an aunt, Desiree Schwesinger; two cousins; many great-aunts, uncles and many friends.
A Mass of the Angels will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Honesdale, Pa.
Burial, following the Mass, will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Anna Ambrozewicz
Homemaker, 58
Anna Ambrozewicz, a resident of Callicoon Center for 33 years and a homemaker, died August 25, 2007 at home. She was 58.
The daughter of Jan and Janina Konik Tapper, she was born May 28, 1949 in Poland.
Survivors include her parents of Callicoon Center; her husband, Walter Ambrozewicz at home; her children, Ela Ambrozewicz of Callicoon Center, Lorette Ambrozewicz of Miami, Fla., Chris Ambrozewicz of Brooklyn, and Megan Ambrozewicz of Callicoon Center; a granddaughter, Chloe Ambrozewicz; her brothers, George and Ozzie, John, Joe and Marius Tapper; sisters, Marysia Jaskowski and Elizabeth Tapper.
She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Tapper.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Sunday, August 26 at St. George’s Church, Jeffersonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Allan Newkirk
Security Instructor, 51
Allan Granville Newkirk of Jeffersonville, a Security Instructor at Delaware Valley Job Corps in Callicoon, died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at home. He was 51.
The son of Allan Edward and Carol Rachel Howard Newkirk, he was born on December 10, 1955 in Liberty.
Retiring as a staff sergeant, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a dog trainer and bomb dog handler. He was a member of the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his mother, at home; his sister, Judy Foster of Pleasant Mount, Pa.; three aunts, Winifred Finbar of Buffalo, Margaret Johnson of Palmyra, Va. and Anita Nasaf of Waymart, Pa.; various nieces, nephews and cousins; and many close, special friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 30 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Lee Andrews will officiate.
Burial with military honors will be made in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery.

Michael McKane
UPS Employee, 25
Michael McKane of Middletown, a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 19, 2007 in the Town of Crawford as a result of an automobile accident. He was 25.
The son of Timothy and Josephine Boffa McKane, he was born December 16, 1981 in Middletown.
Michael was a child prodigy gifted in the Martial Arts. He began his training at Hong's Karate School in Middletown at the age of nine and loved to compete. He was a graduate of Pine Bush High School, Class of 2000, and worked for UPS in Maybrook.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Middletown.
Michael will be remembered as the one everyone looked to for guidance. He was a pleasure to be around and was loved by many people for his sense of humor and phenomenal technique. He was an extraordinary person who will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
He is survived by his beloved twin daughters, Taylor and Amber McKane and their mother, Cheryl Hannington; his parents, Timothy and Josephine McKane, at home; his maternal grandparents, Mario and Anna Marie Boffa of Middletown; his paternal grandmother, Rosella McKane of Wurtsboro; his brothers, Joseph McKane and his wife Stephanie of Middletown and Anthony McKane of Albany; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, August 24 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown.
Entombment will follow in the Mother, Queen of Peace Mausoleum at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Middletown.

Rose Sostak
Ret. Bookkeeper, 79
Rose C. Sostak of White Sulphur Springs, a retired bookkeeper for Eggler Automatic and a 40-year area resident, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at home. She was 79.
The daughter of the late Robert and Helen Martin Chrismer, she was born April 22, 1928 in Fountain Hill, Pa.
In a family statement, it was said, “Rose was a hard working, much-loved mom who, being widowed early in life, raised and put four kids through college and encouraged each of them in their personal lives. She loved to cook and anyone who entered ‘Rosie’s Kitchen’ never left hungry. In her favorite role as ‘Grandma Rose’ she adored her eleven grandchildren, and spent this past summer traveling about and enjoying each of them tremendously. She was a dedicated bookkeeper for Eggler Automatic of White Sulphur Springs, and cherished her longtime area friendships. Her memory will be carried on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.”
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Eichenhauer and her husband Donald of Rush, and Michelle Lucas and her husband Robert of Rensselaer; two sons, Edward Sostak and his wife Robin of White Sulphur Springs, and Glenn Sostak of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother-in-law, Leon Sostak of Bethlehem, Pa.; and eleven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 24 at the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 25 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty.
Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate.
Burial will be made in Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs.
