Kristin Talada and William Mecum, both of Elmira Heights, New York, were married July 31, 2004 at St. Casmir's Church. The 3:00 pm ceremony was performed by Father Frank Fusare, CPM. The Bride is the daughter of David and Angie Talada and granddaughter of Frank and Mary Theresa Fusare, all of Elmira Heights and Milford and Helen Talada of Horseheads, New York. Kristin is a Special Education Teacher in the Syracuse City School District. The Groom is the son of William and Tia Mecum and grandson of Doris Palmieri and the late Pete Palmieri and the late Vivian and Hugh Mecum, all of Elmira Heights. William is an Art Education Teacher in the Syracuse City School District. The Maid of Honor was Rachael Hetzel with Allison Talada, Sarah Talada, Jen Mecum, Robin Kirk, and Sarah Warner as Bride's attendants. Jacqueline Wandell served as the Flower Girl while Dominic Palmieri served as Ring Bearer. The Best Man was Jacob Massey with Peter Mecum, Brett Mecum, Kiel Mecum, Hal Appleby, and Jeff Nelson as Groomsmen. The reception was held at the Elmira Country Club in Elmira, New York. After a honeymoon to St. Thomas, the couple now resides in Syracuse, New York.
