Kristen M. Canfield and Derek P. Bacon, both of Watkins Glen, New York announce their engagement. The Bride-elect, daughter of Janet and the late George (Pete) Canfield of Watkins Glen, is a 1999 graduate of Watkins Glen High School and a 2002 graduate of Herkimer County Community College. She is currently attending Utica College of Syracuse University. The Groom-elect, son of Amenda and Roger Bacon of Watkins Glen is a 2000 graduate of Watkins Glen High School. He is employed at Trumansburg Fire Department and family-owned Curly's Family Restaurant. Derek is also a volunteer at the Watkins Glen Fire Department.
