Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Robida of Stetsonville, WI, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Elizabeth, to Christian Lewis Torp, son of Mr. and Mrs. William (Nancy) Torp of Hammondsport, NY. Ms. Robida is a 1998 graduate of Medford (WI) High School and received her B.A. degree in English in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also studied at the University of Cork, Ireland. Ms. Robida is employed by the Chemistry Department at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and is working on her M.A. degree in English with a specialty of Teaching English as a Second Language. Mr. Torp is a 1998 graduate of Hammondsport Central School and a 2001 graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. degree in Development Sociology. He is currently a second year student at the College of Law, University of Kentucky. The couple plan a May, 2005 wedding in Lexington at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church with a reception following at Keeneland National Historic Landmark.
