James F. and Anne Hall Cronin of Horseheads, New York celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Hill Top Inn in Elmira, New York on January 29, 2005. Mr. James F. Cronin and the former Anne Hall were married February 6, 1960 at 9:00 AM at St. Edwards Church in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where Mrs. Cronin played the organ at Mass from age fourteen until one week before her wedding. The couple has seven children. They are Kathleen (Cronin) and Paul Richards of Macedon, New York; Kevin of Horseheads, New York; Michael of Macedon, New York; Stephen (Helena) Cronin of Horseheads, New York; Carol (Pixie) of Corning, New York; Mark (Tammi) Cronin of Corning, New York; and John of Elmira, New York. There are three grandchildren: Emily, Tyler and Hayley. Mr. Cronin is retired from Corning Incorporated after 37 years of employment. Mrs. Cronin is a homemaker. Mr. Cronin spent 30+ years in the Horseheads Little League as a Coach and a Board Member and 25 years coaching and eventually serving as the President of the Chemung County CYO Basketball Program. The couple moved to the Horseheads area in 1966 from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Prior to this, they resided in both Ft. Benning, Georgia and Ft. Knox, Kentucky, while Mr. Cronin was stationed in the United States Army. Mr. Cronin retired from the Army Reserves in 1981 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
