Stephanie C. Kottwitz and Chad A. Risley, both of Denver, CO were married August 7, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Horseheads, NY. The 4:00 PM ceremony was performed by Dr. Robert Sherburne. The Bride wore a satin, strapless gown adorned with multicolor embroidery on the bodice and skirt and beaded along the neckline and waist. A two-tiered bridal veil of white illusion adorned with pearls and finished with a rolled ribbon edge completed her ensemble. She also wore a family heirloom necklace and carried a round bouquet of roses in shades of pink with ivy accents. Stephanie is the daughter of Charles R. Kottwitz, Jr. and Sandra Kottwitz of Pine City, NY. She is a 2001 graduate of Corning Community College with an Associates degree in Liberal Arts & Science; a 2004 graduate of University of Denver with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration; and is currently employed at Norwich Bank & Trust. Chad is the son of Janice Risley-Smith; Gerald N. Smith; and the late John Risley of Caton, NY. He is a 2001 graduate of Corning Community College with an Associates in Liberal Arts & Science and is currently attending SUNY Delhi, majoring in Turf Science. Currently, he is employed at Leather Stocking Golf Club. The Maid of Honor was Kristy Kottwitz (sister of the Bride) of Pine City. Bride's attendants were Carrie Robinson (sister of the Groom) of Millerton, PA; Amy Caslin of Corning, NY; Jennifer Vang (cousin of the Bride) of Leesburg, VA; Stephanie O'Neil of Tioga, PA; and Sara Hale of Corning. Krisean Felker (cousin of the Bride) of Corning was Flower Girl with Dylan Robinson (nephew of the Groom) of Millerton as Ring Bearer. The Best Man was John Risley (brother of the Groom) of Caton. Brian Davies of Durango, CO; Michael Sortore of Corning; Jamie Gates of Corning; Mark Cuda of Corning; Joel Dundas of Buffalo, NY; and Steve Clarke of Corning, served as Groomsmen. The reception was held at the Elmira Country Club. After a honeymoon to Panorama, British Columbia, the couple resides in Oneonta, NY.
