Mr. John Denike & the former Marian Ruhmel were married November 6, 1943 at Naval Base in Providence, RI. They have 3 kids: JoAnn Carnes Hatfield of Venice, FL; Roger Denike of Aurora, CO; & William Denike of Elmira, NY & 5 grandkids.

Mr. Denike is retired from Newland & Assoc in Elmira & Mrs. Denike is a Housewife.

Mr. and Mrs. John Denike, of Englewood, Fla., will celebrate their 65th anniversary on Nov. 6, 2008.

They were married in Providence, R.I., on Nov. 6, 1943.

Mrs. Denike is the former Marian Ruhmel.

Mr. Denike worked for Newland & Associates in Elmira, N.Y.

Mrs. Denike worked as a dog groomer in Elmira, N.Y.

The couple are parents of three children: Jo Ann Carnes, Venice, Fla.; William Denike, Elmira, N.Y.; and Roger Denike (deceased), Aurora, Colo.

Mr. and Mrs. Denike have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate their anniversary on a dinner cruise with family members.
