BATTISTA - RUPP

Nadia Battista of Gaeta, Italy, and David Rupp of Elmira, NY, were married September 9, 2002 in Gaeta, Italy. The 6:30 PM ceremony was officiated by Nassimo Nagliozzi, the Mayor of Gaeta. The Bride, daughter of Gaetano and Nunzia Battista of Gaeta, and granddaughter of Olimpia Battista of Gaeta, is currently in school for tourism. The Groom, son of Michael and Karen Rupp of Elmira, is a 1996 graduate of Horseheads High School. He attended Corning Community College from 1996-1997. In May of 1997 He joined the Navy and is a machinist mate 2nd class supervisor for P-1 Division in Gaeta. The Maid of Honor was Angela Battista. The Best Man was Ben Hillabrand. A reception was held at Sant' Agostino Restaurant. The couple honeymooned in Paris, France. The couple will reside in Auburn, NY and plan to marry again locally in the summer of 2003.
