Susan Marie Smith of Elmira, NY and Daniel Michael O'Connell of Bethel Park, PA were married May 10, 2003 at St. Mary's Church on the Southside. The 2pm ceremony was performed by Deacon Robert Stowell and Reverend Cathy Stevenson. The Bride is the daughter of Michael and LuAnn Smith of Elmira and granddaughter of Theodore and Marilyn Bailey of Pine City, NY and Clifford and Betty Smith of Horseheads, NY. She is a 1997 graduate of Southside High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Finance and Mathematics from University of Pittsburgh in 2002. She is currently employed as a healthcare financial consultant with MedCom Solutions, Inc. in Cleveland, OH. The Groom is the son of Daniel and Wendy O'Connell of Bethel Park and grandson of John and Alene Halloran of North Braddock, PA and Dolores O'Connell of East Pittsburgh, PA and the late Robert O'Connell. He is a 1996 graduate of Bethel Park Senior High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Chemistry from Elmira College in 2000. He is currently a Senior at Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, OH. The Maid of Honor was Elizabeth Doane and Bride's attendants were Marissa Bailey, Alison Bailey, Jayme Bailey, Kelly O'Connell, Alexis Burd and Stevie Stoltzfus. Flower Girls were Jamie Halloran and Brooke Smith. Best Man was Jerry Koller and Groomsmen were Jeff Colson, Jim Halloran, Dan Smith, Tom Myers, John Myers, and Robert Myers. The reception was held at the Holiday Inn Riverview. After a honeymoon to Cape Cod and Boston, MA the couple resides in Cleveland Heights, OH.

The bride-elect, daughter of Michael and LuAnn Smith of Elmira, and granddaughter of Ted and Marilyn Bailey of Pine City and Clifford and Betty Smith of Horseheads, will graduate in April from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Mathematics and Finance. She is employed by Med Com Solutions, Inc. as a financial consultant in Pittsburgh. The groom-elect, son of Daniel and Wendy O'Connell of Pittsburgh and grandson of John and Alene Halloran of Pittsburgh and Dolores O'Connell of Pittsburgh and the late Robert O'Connell, is a graduated from Elmira College in 2000 with a degree in Biological Chemistry. He is currently a second year student at Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, OH.
