James Jr. and Barbara Walker of Lowman, N.Y. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary September 10, 2005. James and Barbara Martin were married on September 10, 1955 by Reverend Pittman in the North Chemung Methodist Church in North Chemung, N.Y. The couple have two children: Connie (Gale, and his daughter Jennifer) Weller, and Wayne (Della) and their son Jeffrey Walker, all of the Elmira area. James is a retired carpenter and Barbara is a retired Certified Nurses Aid.
