John and Ella Personius of Elmira, NY, marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a public reception at the Centenary United Methodist Church at 424 S. Main St. Elmira, NY. Mr. Personius and the former Ella M. Howard, were married on May 7, 1945 by H. Pittman at the Breesport Methodist Church in Breesport, NY. The couple have 4 children: Kathy Cunningham of Erin, NY, Janet & Chris Delehunty of Wakeforest, NC, Marlen & Richard Twiss of Elon College, NC and Beverly & David Welch of Cohocton, NY. They also have 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mr. Personius retired from Verizon Winser Park, Elmira and Mrs. Personius is a homemaker.
