LEONA L. BARNES, 95, died at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 20, 2005, at Lima Convalescent Home, Lima.
She was born May 8, 1909, near Columbus Grove to Philip and Emma Clymer Miller, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 1, 1933, she married
Al Barnes, who died Aug. 14, 1968.
Mrs. Barnes had been an elementary teacher, having taught at Vaughnsville and Bath schools. She was a member of Vaughnsville United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday school and Bible study and was a member of its Women's Guild. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Ohio. She was a 1927 graduate of Kalida High School and a 1966 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She enjoyed traveling after her retirement, especially to visit her family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Ted) Kay of Seattle.
She was preceded in death by a son, Allyn Barnes; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Vaughnsville United Methodist Church. Pastor Don Hague will officiate. Burial will be in Vaughnsville cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vaughnsville United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
Minster
RITA J. BRUNSWICK, 75, died at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 21, 2005, at The Gardens, Wapakoneta.
She was born June 24, 1929, in Fort Loramie to William and Josephine Albers Eilerman, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 1, 1953, she married
Richard H. Brunswick, who died Feb. 15, 1991.
Mrs. Brunswick was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She enjoyed gardening. She had resided at The Gardens, Wapakoneta, for the last six months.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Brunswick of Spencerville, Daryl (Kay) Brunswick of Perrysburg and Randall Brunswick of Minster; five grandchildren, Kim, Rick, Annie, Ryan and Erika; seven siblings, Wilma Drees of New Carlisle, Cletus (Delores) Eilerman of Columbus, Edna Fullenkamp of Botkins, Leona Speck of West Milton, Mary (Donald) Schwartz of Botkins, Sister Marge Eilerman of Booneville, Ky., and Ralph Eilerman of Fort Loramie; a brother-in-law, Harold Goettemoeller of Botkins; and a sister-in-law, Rita Eilerman of Fort Loramie.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Norbert Eilerman; and a sister, Delores Goettemoeller.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. The Rev. Louis Schmit will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Van Wert
ARDELLA M. FOCHT, 78, died at 11:28 p.m. Feb. 20, 2005, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Doug Stockton will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

DEMARKUS L. GREGORY, 31, died at 12:25 a.m. Feb. 21, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born June 7, 1973, in Evansville, Ind., to Leon and Francis Ann Gregory, who survive in Warren. On June 16, 2000, he married
Stacey L. Krick, who survives.
Mr. Gregory was a cook at Cracker Barrel. He enjoyed working on cars. He was a avid fan of University of Michigan football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR.
Survivors also include a son, Zachary M. Gregory at home; and a daughter, Amber R. Stapleton of Spencerville.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel. Pastor Brian McManus will officiate.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

SARAH ELIZABETH BOWERSOCK HEIDENSCHER, 86, of Las Vegas, formerly of Lima, died at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 20, 2005, in Las Vegas.

Alger
DON HELTON, 67, died at 2:05 p.m. Feb. 20, 2005, at his residence.
He was born March 25, 1937, in Johnson County, Ky., to Charlie and Louise Jackson Spears Helton, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Helton had been a machinist for Weatherhead Co., Columbia City, Ind. He was a former resident of Columbia City.
Survivors include a son, Shannon Helton of Laurelville; a daughter, Stoney Lee Hively, also known as Shawnee Helton-Knoop, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; a sister, Velcie Daniel of Alger; six half sisters, Lucille Gray and Garnet Lehner, both of Mansfield, Joann Rhodes of Alger, Joy Martin and Judy Helton, both of Ada, and Janice Sexton of Russells Point; seven half brothers, William Spears of Paintsville, Ky., Jerry Spears of Mansfield, Berl Helton of Kenton, Franklin D. Helton of Pennsylvania, J.B. Helton of Kenton, Doyle Helton of Alger and Charles Helton of Cincinnati; an uncle, Smith Helton of Sidney, Ind.; a cousin, Billy E. Jackson of Warsaw, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Stella Helton of Alger; and a granddaughter, Jeanetta Knoop.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Helton; and a half brother, Melvin Helton.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. The Rev. James Holbrook will officiate. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.

Bluffton
EVELYN G. HETRICK, 95, died at 9:06 a.m. Feb. 20, 2005, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
She was born May 9, 1909, in Bluffton to Ephraim and Jennie Painter Geiger, who preceded her in death. She married
Merlin "Slim" Hetrick, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hetrick was a homemaker and worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp., Lima. She attended Beaverdam Church of Christ, Beaverdam, and Rockport United Methodist Church, Rockport. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lima. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include a sister, Madeline Zeits of Columbus Grove.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Geiger; two half brothers, Harry and George Cone; six sisters, Metta Downing, Carrie Horner, Viola Baumgartner, Margaret Carmean, Florence Garlish and Dorothy Simon; and a half sister, Luella Tenney.
Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton. Pastor Michael Downey will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
