RALPH J. SCHROEDER, 87, died at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 1, 2003, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
He was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Leipsic, to Frank and Theresia Winkler Schroeder. On Sept. 5, 1945, he married
Alice D. Schmitz, who died Aug. 1, 1999.
Mr. Schroeder was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Holy Name Society. He was a member and former commander of the Leipsic American Legion. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include four sons, Maurice Schroeder of Findlay, Mark "Max" (Julia) Schroeder of Columbus Grove, Ralph "Jack" Schroeder Jr. of Napoleon and Timothy Schroeder of Leipsic; two daughters, Marlene (James) Okuley of Holgate and Wilma (Gene) Lauck of Findlay; a brother, Raymond (Ialene) Schroeder of Napoleon; three sisters, Kathryn Rieman of Leipsic, Mildred (Joe) Brubaker of Hamler, and Marie (Abe) Lammers of Spencerville; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale Schroeder; a brother, Guy Schroeder; and two sisters, Sister Mary Victor Schroeder and Syvilla Odenweller.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic. The Rev. John Joseph will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military rites by the Leipsic American Legion and VFW.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, where a Holy Name Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, an American Legion service will be held at 7:30 p.m., and a scripture service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Putnam Acres Care Center or the charity of the donor's choice.
Gilboa
JERRY LEE STEINMAN, 62, died at 8:55 p.m. Dec. 31, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 1, 1940, in Van Wert. He was adopted by Gladden Oren Steinman and Leslie Gertrude Devore, who preceded him in death. On April 23, 1961, he married
Margie Sue Eck, who survives.
Mr. Steinman formerly worked at GTE Sylvania as an electrician in Ottawa. He was formerly a plummer. He was retired from drilling water wells. He was a member of the Gilboa Fire Department since 1956. He was chief for 15 years and town marshall for 13 years. He was a member of Gilboa United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts and IBEW Local 1654. He also enjoyed motorcycling.
Survivors also include a son, Douglas Lee Steinman of Gilboa; two daughters, Julie (Todd) Hager of Lima and Laurie Renee Steinman of Gilboa; a sister, Donna (Jerry) Vimr of Allen Park, Mich.; and twin grandsons, Jacob and Bryan.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Ottawa. The Rev. Mark Hollinger will officiate. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

ELTON E. WALLIS, 78, died the morning of Jan. 1, 2003, at his residence.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gearhart, Mack & Jurcyzk Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert, with military rites by the Convoy American Legion.

ROBERT F. BARNETT, 66, died at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 11, 2003, at Cleveland VA Medical Center.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Darryl Ramey will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert.

MARY M. FOGT, 79, died Feb. 12, 2003, at Beverly Health Care Center.

Lima
FRANKLIN D. FOUST, 45, of Erie, Mich., formerly of Lima, died Feb. 11, 2003, at St. Charles Hospital.
He was born in Lima to Franklin and Frances Foust, who survive. His wife, Terry Foust, also survives.
Mr. Foust was a member of Pointe Place Boat Club and enjoyed boating. He was a very loving and giving person who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors also include a son, Gabe Foust of Lima; a daughter, Shae Foust of Lima; three stepdaughters, Tanya (Robert Rottenstein) Slemp, Kimberly (Mark) Heath and Theresa (Tony Brashear) Webber, all of Toledo; a brother, Brian (Shanda) Foust; a sister, Kari (Steve) Wilson; and five grandchildren, Gavin, Travis, Cassidy, Marissa and Spencer.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ida.
Memorial services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania.
Pandora
HENRIETTA HENDERSON, 92, died at 7:25 p.m. Feb. 11, 2003, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born Oct. 23, 1910, in Pandora to John and Anna Basinger Schneck, who preceded her in death. On May 12, 1943, she married
Aubrey W. Henderson, who died June 13, 1964.
Mrs. Henderson retired as a teacher in Continental schools and had worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton. She was a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. She had been a minister's wife. She was a 1929 graduate of Pandora High School, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, where she traveled with the Jubilate Singers, and a 1973 graduate of Bluffton College.
Survivors include a son, Aubrey (Marie) Henderson of Pandora; a daughter, Irma Henderson of Royal Oak, Mich.; and a granddaughter, Cheryl Henderson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Schneck; and two sisters, Laura Pender and Irma Lambi.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. today at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. The Rev. Rennie Burrus will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery, Pandora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Memorial Home.

St. Marys
JAMES M. IRISH, 47, died at 11:58 a.m. Feb. 11, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, after becoming ill at work.
He was born March 16, 1955, in St. Marys to George and June Heap Irish, who preceded him in death. On May 12, 1984, he married
Donna Nussbaum, who survives.
Mr. Irish worked in the service and repair department at Minster Machine Co. for 24 years. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767, St. Marys, where he served as secretary of its golf league. He was a member of the St. Marys Sister Cities delegation that visited Hokudan Cho, Japan, in 2000. He had operated the concession stand at K.C. Geiger Park, St. Marys, for five years and had coached the St. Marys girls softball league. He was a 1973 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, and attended Bluffton College.
Survivors also include four daughters, Sara (Jeff) Dieringer of St. Marys, and Heather Irish, Amanda Irish and Ashley Irish, all at home; a brother, Stephen Irish of Bristol, Fla.; father- and mother-in-law, John and Dolly Nussbaum of Ottoville; and a nephew and two nieces.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, St. Marys. The Rev. Patricia Minnick will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery, St. Marys.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
