JEAN MORGRET, 88, died at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 11, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 4, 1914, in Malinta to Frank C. and Amy Bechtal Morgret, who preceded him in death. On April 11, 1936, he married
Marguerite L Sheidler, who survives in Ottawa.
Mr. Morgret owned and operated Morgret's Dairy for 15 years. He retired from the School Employee Retirement Service after 15 years and from Ohio Power, Ottawa. He had also worked at Pinkerton Security Agency, Lima. He was a member of Gilboa United Methodist Church, Gilboa.
Survivors also include three sons, Bruce M. (Dale) Morgret of Herndon, Va., Lewis A. (Diana) Morgret of San Rafael, Calif., and Paul F. (Margaret) Morgret of Lima; three daughters, Jo Ann Jimenez of Lima, Sara A. (Thomas) Rayman of Delphos and Kathy S. (Boyd) Morgret-Frady of Rex, Ga.; a brother, Paul W. Morgret of Oklahoma City; and 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, John E. Morgret.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Gilboa United Methodist Church, Gilboa. The Rev. Sharon Twining will officiate. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Ottawa, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

St. Marys
FRANCES E. PIPER, 90, died at 3:05 a.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. The Rev. David Woodyard will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery, St. Marys.
Friends may call from noon until time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Lima
PAULINE UNA BROWN TERRY, 80, died at 5:43 a.m. Feb. 10, 2003, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, W.Va. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, W.Va.

Kenton
LLOYD "SHORTY" VERMILLION, 76, died at 7:05 p.m. Feb. 11, 2003, at Corinthian Nursing Facility, Kenton.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schindewolf-Stevens-Stout Funeral Home, Kenton. Burial will be at a later date in Grove cemetery, Kenton.

JACK H. GOTTHARDT, 76, died at 3:15 a.m. June 25, 2003, at Lima Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Rock Island, Ill., to Dewey and Iva Thompson Gotthardt, who preceded him death. On Aug. 30, 1946, he married
Barbara J. Fuller, who survives.
Mr. Gotthardt had worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp. He was a member of New Creation Lutheran Church, where he was president of the Adult Sunday School and was a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He loved bowling and golfing.
Survivors also include a son, Dr. Jerry (Jeanne) Gotthardt, of Westerville; three daughters, Linda Gotthardt, of Ashland, Ellen (Dom) Cirello, of Riverview, Fla., and Judy (Steve) Bonifas, of Irmo, S.C.; a sister, Zada Wince, of Rock Island; and seven grandchildren.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at New Creation Lutheran Church. The Revs. Thomas Arheit and Gust Wuorinen will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Elida.

Ottawa
IRIS IRWIN KERSH, 73, died at 5 p.m. June 24, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 21, 1930, in Cleveland to G. William and Gladys Anderson Irwin, who preceded her in death. On April 18, 1953, she married
Guy Edward Kersh II, who survives in Ottawa.
Mrs. Kersh retired in 1990 as a school psychologist and guidance counselor for Putnam County Board of Education, after 19 years. She was a 42-year member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa, and a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Seminole, Fla., for the past eight years, where she served as a Stevens minister. During the summer she was associated with the Firelands Presbyterian Church, Port Clinton.
She was a graduate of Bowling Green University with a master's degree in school psychology and counseling. She taught at Pandora-Gilboa High School, was a guidance counselor at Ottawa-Glandorf High School and was the first school psychologist in Putnam County. After retirement she served on the staff at SS. Peter and Paul School and Bay Pines Veterans Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla., serving children of Vietnam and Gulf war veterans.
She was active in St. Petersburg Sail and Power Squadron as an assistant piloting instructor, reporter and photographer; Boca Ciega Sail and Power Squadron, Treasure Island, Fla.; and the Boca Ciega Point Boating Club. She was a member of the national, Ohio and Florida associations of school psychologists, Ottawa Study Club, Women's Bridge Club and a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She was a past matron of Ottawa Order of Eastern Star and past board member of the 648 Board. She was especially loved for her continuos helping of others. She also lived in St. Petersburg and on Catawba Island, Port Clinton.
Survivors also include a son, Dale (Irma) Kersh, of Findlay; a daughter, Lynne King, of Toledo; a brother-in-law, G. Carl Guckenberger, of Cincinnati; a sister-in-law, Joan Kersh Daniels, of Cincinnati; and special family, Virginia and Roger Churgovich and Lynea and Robert Churgovich, all of Medina, LeAnne and Eric Steenwyk, of Holland, Mich., and Dan and Gail Klatka, of Copley.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. The Revs. Dan Huther and Denny Coates will officiate. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Rockford
EVELYN F. SEALSCOTT, 79, died at 7:50 p.m. June 24, 2003, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born May 2, 1924, in Celina to Sam and Opal Now Rhodes, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 25, 1941, she married
Dewan Sealscott, who died May 24, 1978.
Mrs. Sealscott retired in 1984 from Huffy, Celina. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rockford.
Survivors include two sons, Brent Sealscott, of Celina, and Dennis (Shirley) Sealscott, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Lisa (Matt) Ridenour, of Sylvania; a brother, Sam (Marge) Rhodes, of Sherwood; three sisters, Jeanne (Eugene) Linn, of Celina, Sonie Chukes, of LaPlace, La., and Onalee (Richard) Waldo, of Wauseon; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Sealscott.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Morris Now will officiate. Burial will be in Buck cemetery, Celina.

Miller City
ALBERT H. "HAM" BARLAGE, 81, died at 4:30 a.m. Aug. 6, 2003, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
He was born Jan. 5, 1922, in Liberty Township, Putnam County, to Bernard and Laura Stritt Barlage, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 12, 1946, he married
Mary Margaret Spangler, who survives in Miller City.
Mr. Barlage was a farmer and had been a bus driver for Miller City-New Cleveland schools. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. He was a member of the American Legion, where he had served as commander, and the Miller City Sportsman's Club, where he had served as president, both in Miller City. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9142, Ottawa, and the Miller City PTA. He had served as a Liberty Township committeeman and had been a member of the Putnam County Sheriff's Auxiliary. He had been in the Miller City Golf League. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors also include two sons, Roger (Susan) Barlage and Tim Barlage, both of Miller City; five daughters, Nancy (Ray) Pihlaja of Romeo, Mich., Peg (Larry) Gerschutz of Miller City, Marcia (John) Hovest of Leipsic and Cindy (Frank) Becker and Ann (Jerry) Turnwald, both of Ottoville; three sisters, Mary Strausbaugh of Cleveland, Gertrude Crawford of Leipsic and Agnes Nienberg of Miller City; and 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Oscar Barlage; and a granddaughter, Julie Pihlaja Korb.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. The Rev. Robert DeSloover will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military rites by the Miller City American Legion and VFW Post 9142.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will be held at 3:30 p.m. and a VFW service at 7:30 p.m.
