PATRICE K. EMCH, 83, died at 5 a.m. Aug. 6, 2003, in Bluffton.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Iams Funeral Home, Martinsville, W.Va.

Fort Recovery
SISTER ROSEMARY FORTMAN, earlier known as Sister Mary Marcella, 91, of Fremont, formerly of Fort Recovery, died Aug. 3, 2003, at St. Bernardine Home, Fremont.
She was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Mercer County to John L. and Victoria Stelzer Fortman, who preceded her in death.
Sister Rosemary entered the Sisters of Mercy on March 24, 1931, and made Profession of Vows on Aug. 15, 1933. She began her ministry as a nurse/surgery supervisor in 1936 at St. Rita's Medical Center, where she served at various times in her years of nursing. She also served at Mercy Hospital, Toledo, St. Charles Hospital in Oregon and at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Owensboro, Ky. She was an administrator at St. Bernardine Home, Fremont, and a school nurse at McAuley High School, Toledo. She retired in 1984 at St. Bernardine Home. She received a diploma in nursing, a bachelor's degree in nursing and attended several institutes to study nursing and radiology.
In 1970, she became the first administrator of St. Bernardine Home and in 1974 was one of 12 members who was appointed by the governor to the newly-formed Ohio Commission on Aging to serve 1 million elderly citizens in the state.
Survivors include three sisters, Lucy of Dayton, Dorothy Schoenlein of Coldwater and Sister Mary Madonna of Fremont.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, John, Richard and the Rev. Marcellus; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Adelaide.
Services were held Tuesday at St. Bernardine Home, Fremont. Burial was in the convent cemetery.
Memorials contributions may be made to Sisters of Mercy or the charity of the donor's choice.

Elida
EARL E. GOOD, 75, of Pineville, La., formerly of Elida, died at 4:15 a.m. Aug. 5, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Elida to Noah and Clara Good, who preceded him in death. He had been married
to Elsie Focht, who survives in Bellefontaine. On July 21, 1970, he married
Joanna Ackerman Contris, who survives.
Mr. Good owned Mid-City Service, Alexandria, La. He was a member of the Pat Robinson 700 Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving two years.
Survivors also include four sons, Carl R. (Debra) Good of Bellefontaine, Edwin L. Good of Lima, William E. (Joella) Good of Galion and Earl Dean (Mary) Good of Spencerville; two daughters, Marcie A. Humphreys of Elida and Robin L. Klapp of Lima; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
St. Marys
AUDREY D. HITCHEN, 94, died Aug. 5, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery, St. Marys.

Wapakoneta
WILLIAM G. "BILL" KAECK, 87, died at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 6, 2003, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home, Wapakoneta.
He was born May 31, 1916, in Auglaize County to John A. and Margaret "Maggie" Engelhaupt Kaeck, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 25, 1937, he married
Jessie L. "Shorty" Harshbarger, who died Aug. 4, 1999.
Mr. Kaeck was a farmer and had retired as a machinist from LeRoi Dresser Co., Sidney. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and golfing.
Survivors include four sons, Ralph (Phyllis) Kaeck, Alfred (Norma) Kaeck, John (Darlene) Kaeck and James (Deborah) Kaeck, all of Wapakoneta; three daughters, Carol Jean (Larry) Schneider and Becky (Ron) Elsass, both of Wapakoneta, and Pat (Marcus) Wiley of Sidney; 18 grandchildren, Barb (Dick) Krites, Dan (Lisa) Kaeck, Elaine (Mike) Kinstle, Elisha (Jason) Neumeier, John Kaeck II, Aaron (Doneta) Kaeck, Cheri (Jason) Brandt, Brad (Sherry) Kaeck, Adam Elsass, David Cox, Pam (Terry) Schwartz, Kelli (Eric) Barnes and Mike Cox, all of Wapakoneta, Sue (Tim) Theodore of Lima, Lori Kaeck of Cridersville, Steve Kaeck and Mandy Knueve, both of Columbus, and Michelle (Tim) Hutchison of Sidney; four stepgrandchildren, Tim (Kathy) Schneider of New Knoxville, Cindy (Ken) Bailey of Wapakoneta and Scott Wiley and Jason Wiley, both of Sidney; 21 great-grandchildren, Jenny and Michele Theodore, Ryan and Austin Krites, Hillary and Haley Kinstle, Zachary, Kierstyn and Kayla Neumeier, Alexis and Morgan Schwartz, Cole Barnes, Mike and Nathan Cox, Chelsie, Jordan and Josee Kaeck, Chandler, Nathan and Evan Kaeck and Miranda Roark; and six stepgreat-grandchildren, Jamie (Chuck) Chinn, Brooke Schneider, Ryan and Chris Owsley and Timmy and Bradley Hutchison.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother; two sisters, Fredonia (Herman) Ruck and Ada (John) Wise; and two grandchildren, Don W. Kaeck and Ellen Schneider.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. The Revs. Michael Nicol and Gary Bragg will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Harvest Baptist Church.
St. Marys
ROBERT E. "FUJI" KIEFER, 49, died at 9:03 p.m. Aug. 5, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. The Rev. James Nuhfer will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Van Wert
GRACE ANNA McCLURE was stillborn on Aug. 2, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
Her parents, Lucas C. and Jennifer J. Gamble McClure, survive in Van Wert.
Survivors also include paternal grandmother, Carla Speelman of Van Wert; maternal grandparents, Donald and Alice Gamble of Delphos; paternal great-grandparents, Carl and Rosalyn Speelman of Van Wert; maternal great-grandparents, Leonard and Donna Maloney of Delphos and Doyt and Barbara Gamble of Lima; and maternal great-great-grandmother, Margaret Eilerman of Delphos.
Private family services were held. The Rev. Thomas Gorman officiated. Burial was in Ridge cemetery, Middle Point.

CHARLES R. "CHUCK" MINYOUNG, 71, died at 5:10 p.m. Aug. 5, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
There will be no public services or visitation.

Van Wert
ANITA M. MYERS, 87, died at 1 p.m. Aug. 5, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ohio City.

Wapakoneta
ROGER S. NICKELL, 79, died at 3:45 p.m. Aug. 4, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 12, 1924, in Hardin County to Thomas Melvin and Edna Ruth Haggard Nickell, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 8, 1952, in Harrod, he married
Bernita Moore, who survives.
Mr. Nickell was a farmer and was owner/operator of Nickell's Flying Service, Roundhead. He was a member of the Ohio and International Flying Farmers and the 491/2 of the 99 Women's Flying Association. He was been honored by the International Forest Friendship. He was a former member of the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed steam threshers and antique tractors and airplanes.
Survivors also include two daughters, Margaret Nickell-Cope of China, Texas, and Amy (Doug) Jones of Wapakoneta; a brother, Dallas Earl Nickell of Tate, Ga.; a sister, Josephine Ammons of West Liberty; two grandchildren, Cody D. Jones and Kenneth Luke Jones; and two stepgrandchildren, John Wayne Cope and Susan Dene'.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Nickell.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Belle Center. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Roundhead.
