Delphos
JOHN L. TALBOOM, 78, died at 9:55 p.m. Dec. 22, 2005, at Roselawn Manor, Spencerville.
He was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Delphos to Leon and Bessie Fair Talboom, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 24, 1949, he married
Betty L. Allenbaugh, who died Dec. 26, 1992.
Mr. Talboom was retired from Pinkerton, where he was a security guard at Freuhauf. He was an Army veteran, and an active coin collector. He was a member of Delphos Eagles Aerie 471 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3052.
Survivors include five sons, Tim Talboom, Robert (Debbie) Talboom, Tom Talboom and Mark (Dawn Maye) Talboom, all of Delphos, and B.G. Talboom of Lakeview; a daughter, Mary (Robert) White of Delphos; four sisters, Betty Wegesin of Delphos, Audra Ann (Tony) Bowers and Rosemary (Paul) Fry, both of Lima, and Bert (Bob) Zink of Wapakoneta; a brother, Ed (Sandy) Talboom of Indiana; nine grandchildren, Tiffany, Tyler, Paige, Bobby, Brad, Kendra, Kevin, Sue and Michael; 12 great-grandchildren, Kody, Collin, Carson, Brandy, Kylie, Tori, Nick, Mike, Chris, Amanda, Ashley and Danielle.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Talboom.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Delphos Veterans Council.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
Van Wert
CATHERINE ELIZABETH "BETTY" WITTEN, 90, died at 7 a.m. Dec. 21, 2005, at Westminster-Thurber Community, Columbus.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Dillon Stass will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lima
PAUL E. HERMON, 83, died at 6:45 a.m. Jan. 13, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 9, 1923, in Hardin County to Lester Dow and Hazel Rager Hermon, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 7, 1947, he married
Juliana "Annie" M. Freund, who died March 20, 2000.
Mr. Hermon was a metal finisher at Sheller Globe/Superior Coach. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He served in the Army from Jan. 5, 1943, until Feb. 6, 1946. He was an avid gardener and woodworker.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Charles) Ritz of Fullerton, Calif., and Carole Hermon of La Habra, Calif.; two brothers, Harding Hermon of McComb, and Milan Hermon of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Katherine Diller Tussing of Findlay; and a half brother, Samuel Hermon of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Gerald, Lester, Francis, LeRoy, Calvin, Eugene and Melvin Hermon, and three sisters, Geraldine Hermon, Naomi Butler and Faye Reigle Arnold.
Graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn cemetery, Elida, with military rites by VFW Post 1275. Chaplain Joe F. Pumphrey will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 1275 or St. Rita's Hospice.
Wapakoneta
DANIEL ALLEN was stillborn at 1:49 a.m., Jan. 14, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was the son of Daniel and Casey Wintzer Allen Jr., and they survive in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include, maternal grandparents, Gus and Deb Wintzer of Wapakoneta; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Sue Allen Sr. of Cridersville; maternal great-grandparents, Fred and Mary Alice Wintzer of Wapakoneta; paternal great-grandparents, Don and Alberta Sadler of Lima; aunts and uncles, Kirsten and Andy Walters of Wapakoneta, Sean Wintzer of Wapakoneta, Jeremy Allen of Cridersville, and Janelle Allen of Cridersville.
A private family service will be held at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastor G. Richard Bell will officiate.
Alger
BOB KASH ARNETT Sr., 88, died at 4:15 a.m. Jan. 15, 2006, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
Service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger. Pastor Robert Dye will officiate. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.

MARTHA J. HUGHES, 75, died at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 15, 2006, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 31, 1930, in Delphos to Carl E. and Nellie Tilton Nash, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 13, 1954, she married
Thomas R. Hughes, who died March 29, 2004.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School in 1948, and from St. Rita's School of Nursing in 1951. She was a member of the St. Rita's Alumni and an honorary member of the Calla Lilly's.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas J. (Rebecca) Hughes of Bluffton and Stephen C. Hughes of Lima; three daughters, Jamie E. Hughes of Lima, Carla (Norman) Stahler of New York and Mary Jane (Felix) Burden of Lima; a sister, Mary Anne (Robert) Ross of Lima; six grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Shiloh, Katelyn, Ashley and Zachary; and a great-granddaughter, Vayda.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Nash.
Service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Father David Ross and Ray Erickson will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani cemetery, Lima.

MARTHA LOUISE "MARTY" KOHLER, 73, died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday at Lima Memorial Health System.
Service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Derrick Russel will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery, Waynesfield.

Lakeview
JAMES A. LEHMKUHLE, 79, died at 5:55 p.m. Jan. 14, 2006, at Heartland of Indian Lake.
He was born Sept. 28, 1926, in Dayton to Lawrence and Helen Klaus Lehmkuhle, who preceded him in death. On July 29, 1950, he married
Dorothy Bruns, who survives.
Mr. Lehmkuhle retired in 1975 from National Cash Register in Dayton, after 28 years. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and in the Army National Guard
Survivors also include a daughter, Susan Miller of Lima; three sons, Stephen (Cynthia) Lehmkuhle of Columbia, Mo., Daniel Lehmkuhle of Dayton, and Gerald Lehmkuhle of Kettlersville; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Russells Point. The Rev. Harold W. Kist will officiate. Interment will be in Huntsville cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Van Horn Funeral Home, Lakeview, where prayers will be said at 1:45 p.m.
