FRANKLIN DELANO SMITH Sr., 72, died at 4:23 p.m. Jan. 10, 2006, at Hospice Home of Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. Pastors Raymond E. Feeck and W. Clark Williman will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF cemetery, Convoy, with military rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

CHRIS G. ANTHONY, 66, died at 7:06 a.m. April 19, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Lima to George D. and Mary Sariotis Anthony, who preceded him in death. On April 11, 1964, he married
Robinetta "Robin" J. Hayes, and she survives.
Mr. Anthony was the owner of Anthony's Restuarant for 25 years, formerly known as The Sweetland. He was most recently employed by the Allen County Sheriff's Office. He was a 1958 graduate of Lima Senior High. He was a Navy veteran. He formerly attended Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and golf.
Survivors also include three sons, Nick C. (Paolina) Anthony of Indianapolis, Matt C. Anthony of Elida, and Drew C. Anthony of Lima; a daughter, Kristen M. (Jay) Miller of Cincinnati; a brother, Jim G. Anthony; and three grandchildren, Christopher Anthony, Rachel Anthony and Emily Miller.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kula Beveridge.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be later at Shawnee cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and one hour before services.

APRIL JEANELIZABETH BEAR, 23, of Toledo and formerly of Continental, died at 7:28 p.m. April 17, 2006, at Medical University of Ohio, Toledo.

DALE E. JORDAN, 78, died at 12:10 a.m. April 19, 2006, at his residence in Lafayette.
He was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Lima to George P. and Edna Wille Jordan, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 5, 1946, he married
Joan A. Hubbell, who died Sept. 18, 2003.
Mr. Jordan was a painter for Quinn's Paint Co. in Lima and retired after 45 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lafayette. He was a 1945 graduate of Lima South High School. He was a Navy veteran who served during World War II. He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include a son, David (Paulette) Jordan of Woodland Park, Colo.; three daughters, Sandy (Leroy) Elliott of Dublin, Nancy Coates of Lafayette and Dale Ann (Gary) Hawk of Lafayette; a sister, Shirley (Richard) Wheeler of Lima; seven grandchildren, Kim, Kelli, Kenneth, Tammi, Wendi, Matt and Brandon and five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Cole, Alexis, Kylie and Katlyn; and several stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Reed; and a brother, Richard Jordan.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Lafayette. Pastor Larry Trover will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

OLIVER R. AMSTUTZ, 94, died at 10:30 a.m. April 26, 2006, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
He was born Feb. 17, 1912, in Allen County to John and Rosina Henzi Amstutz, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 15, 1932, he married
Clara Wilson, who died Feb. 5, 1994.
Mr. Amstutz was a carpenter and farmer and had worked at Warner-Swazey, Lima. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, Ada. He was an avid coon hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include three sons, John (Edna) Amstutz of Wayne, Jerry (Shirley) Amstutz of Harrod and Jack (Ida) Amstutz of Lima; two daughters, Dolly (Ronald) Beach of Lima and Jean Ann (Rolla) Stratton of Cridersville; a son-in-law, William Randall Porter of Findlay; and 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Amstutz; two daughters, Joan Shanks and Beverly Porter; four brothers, Melvin, Albert, Noah and Jesse Amstutz; and six sisters, Ella Best, Mary Truax, Bessie Grant, Sue Wiedeman, Cleora Burkholder and Sarah Wellar.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton. The Rev. Harrison Underwood and the Rev. David Underwood will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Beaverdam.
